It's a home router, it's meant to stay at home. If you want unlimited LTE wifi for mobile usage, either go for a dual sim phone and use the 4G sim in your other port or consider buying a portable router.

Its mostly the Metro's that have 5G coverage for now. Again, if you want mobile wifi buy a 4G pocket router.

I think some of the issues you have are because lack of prior knowledge. All routers are meant to be used from home so you can't use it in your car as they don't come with battery buy a potable router for that or continue buying data. 2ndly rain 5G was previously only available Jo'burg and Cape Town but not it's also in East London. 3rdly you can't use a 5G sim card in a non 5G router (even if Vodacom had a 5G sim it wouldn't work on a non 5G router) that's why they give you a 5G router so in other words if your phone was 5G compatible it would work or if you had another 5G router the Sim could work
I've got a battery for the router ,mine can work without power for more than 2hours30 min.incase of moving to another location I just go to the control panel and activate 4G it works for me.
Nice honest video. However the 5G packages they have currently are home not "mobile" packages. Just like fiber. Meaning you can not take fiber with you. 😵

Rain should be exposed for who they are.As a pensioner i cancelled my contract in july and again in august 2022 but yet they debited my autistic son's account with 4 months subscription on the same day in november 2022.I've been trying relentlessly to get answers to no avail.supervisors simply don;t return your calls.You as a customer are simply not allowed to speak directly to the accounts dept.or anybody in authority.Please be aware of their business ethics

Rain normally takes less than 3 hours to activate upon your receipt of the simcard and router. If all this fails, contact them on 081 610 1000 or dm them on Twitter or use their app to see what the problem is

For the big router, you need a simcard that's made for it, 4G sim won't work with a 5G router
