The main reason why I’m using this router is cause at the moment the fibre line where I live is not activated yet. So I’m curious, do you prefer the router over a fibre connection ?
I definitely prefer this router over fibre even though fibre has a more stable connection. The reason for that is because I can literally take my router anywhere and it will work by just plugging it in, I also travel with it just in case there’s no Wi-Fi connection where I’m visiting.
I tried mine all over the place since it didn't work in the recomended spot by the window, i dont understand how it works where i put it but it does and im leaving it there.
What router is that? Are the ones rain give by default ok to use outside? and if not where to buy one that is since I heard that rain is full of stories if you use their sims in routers not approved by them?
@@Napo4k Thanks for the info, I will see what they bring me when I get the delivery and then request more info because I will need outdoor to get best signal.
@@SLEAZY282 Yeah man, but it's not easy you have to bug them for a while but they eventually sent a dude and he came with an outdoor unit which I mounted on a pole (the bracket for a pole & for a wall comes in the box) After that I had great signal and was a very happy customer but I have since been able to get fibre here and so I have cancelled my rain, but I was very happy with it mounted outside for the year or so I used them.
@@Napo4k hlw brother, i hope you are doing well. i just checked on rain website, they only offer internal router. i even called them they said they no longer offer external router.
I guess it all depends on where you are located. Never had issues when I lived in Cape Town but as soon as I move do to PTA I started experiencing issues.
Ended up loving the last song 🎵 ❤
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
Great tut.
The router is not high enough and not aligned to the rain tower hence slow speeds
On my side I get 564Mbps down and 155Mbps up

I’m struggling with my network connection. I got a 5G rain router, is there like an antenna or something I can use to boost the signal
not sure because I no longer us the product

I got the router from rain, ordered it in Cape Town. I believe, these were the first 5G routers used by rain, because they seem to have changed.

How to use ups with the outdoor router
Not 100% sure as I'm no longer using it.
I would put the ethernet cable in some PVC piping.
Great idea!
Don't you think you must connect the outside router to another router inside.
Sort of like a range extender, because the one outside is too far.
Valid! I find myself using my other laptop as a hotspot/range extender sometimes when the connection gets a little weak.
@@Napo4k Ja, mara I think a full on router would work best. : -)
You really need another router inside that will act as an AP 🤔🤔
How do you shelter it from the rain?
It's weatherproof.
Get WiFi extenders for the TV connection
Hi, how do i get one,

Hi Musa, you can order one here rain.co.za

How much do you get paid as a software developer
Video dropping soon address this question among other things 🙏🏾
Nothing meaningful on TV in any case. Thanks for sharing!
I am disappointed with Rain. I have complied for 3 months about their upload speeds. 😓
