I've been using the 4G sim, now I'd love to upgrade, do I cancel the 4G subscription then buy a new one? What do I do?
According to their website and adverts the upgrades are free to existing 4g customer .. basically you're getting 2 * 2 Gb data free
how's the latency from the router when using PC ?
can you play a game and show latency on your next video, I'm looking for an option to move from my telkom lte as it's super flaky, fluctuating between 16ms and 1400ms while playing Dota 2.
btw, issue is not on my PC, when I lived in a place with fibre, my ping in Dota 2 fluctuated between 1ms and 4ms.
Did you get the rain one by any chance? I need a new wifi plan also because the telkom 10MB LTE is so shit and i don't know how the telkom 40mb 5G is which is R499

i guess its because they are no longer offering 5G Home alone or the 4G packages for phones only

@@TechSceneZA everything is working. the speed is exactly where it should be and i have not had any problems... i should mention that i live next to a tower though so i probably have better connection than most

Rain Does not work as well as they advertise. They have a support number. That works as good as Eskom, you buy 5g works well for 1week of the month then they force you down to 4g, so if you there are other option around maybe not as cheap as rain but definitely more stable. and have suport

thy have miscomuncate with my gilfrend and told het one month free and now she is siting with a bill of 1780 that thy are charging her for augest and september and also charging her for the promosing thy gave her and the salepersion made promises that he did not keep
Hi, phone them and request a refund. They will either bill reserve it for the next bill or refund it back. They did that to me also, I called them about 3 times, and they refunded me. The refund clears after 7 working days.
did you make sure your location was good before buying? 5G isn't available everywhere and the quality of the 5G varies

Yes 5G is supported in my area and i have a direct LOS view of the 5G Tower
stop lying to people/ Rain is the MOST unreliable service you can use. They have decent 5g that no one will ever need the cap for. Their 4g is the worst. They drop internet connection the moment the tower get busy as they have no network Priority. They rent service space from other towers like mtn and as soon as the network gets too busy, they cut your connection to preserve their own customers. their 5g suffers when there are power outages and is their only service they have their own towers for. I worked for them and know the ins and outs of how they work. You want cheap you will get cheap. Get a proper internet provider
STAY AWAY. PAYING FOR RAIN 5G IS MONEY DOWN THE TOILET.
This is by far the worst Internet Service Provider in SA. My connection gives me 2min of semi good service (12mb to 14mb) with 20min of 2mb to 3mb speeds. Switch it on and Off and get the same horrible service all over again.
Rain has outsourced their after Sales service and those providers don't give a crap if your queries are sorted or not. Their Tech department will respond to you after days and that's if they even get back to you at all. Call them and all they can tell you is that they will get you sorted. The frustrations of dealing with an operator that you can hardly understand is done by design as they want you to either hang up or swear and they cut the call or leave you with the feeling that calling is not going to make a difference so why bother. This is a prime example of a Internet provider that must have its licence revoked.

@@ZombeeStar Try for a moment to stretch your thinking and entertain the idea that this could be a guy trying to inform you and others about a Service Provider offering horrendous Service. Not a comparative rant, but rather a precautionary inform.
I'm not surprised to hear this. A colleague of mine was also complaining about the same thing. He got the 5G router when it came out but the speed was nowhere 5G. It was 4G at the most at all times. Except when there's loadshedding where it drops to 3G speeds.
