IMO a vibes based balancing for an RPG is the best way to do it. Figuring out stupid broken ways to mould the game to your liking is my favourite part about these types of games.

Gota be honest pal i didnt enjoy the video cause all this gliches are what makes New Vegas fun and you seem to hate that concept But here i dont wana saound like a broken jaded New Vegas fan so heres my favorite build, glitch cowboy, use cowboy and shotgun perks , and you use the lucky revolver and the lever action shogun and rifles , and thats it Only weird thing you do is buy multiple amunition of varius types and you change it quicly insted of reloding , the reloding mechanic brakes and you have basicly an infinte clip, if you time it well you can shot till you run out of ammo or the gun brakes Making this the most dps you can do whit regular guns as you never have to relode , mix it whit shotgun , rilfe and revolver builds , and you have not the most broken bu defefinetly my favoritw as it ia broken but requires a bit of skill to pull it off Happy trails prathner

The game isn't a competitive shooter. It's designed to be fun. The only balancing the game needs is for character builds being equally fun and powerful.

The Q-35 early game, swapping later to the tri-beam is my current play through. Such a good set of guns. The ammo conservation and good damage of the Q-35 lasted me until the early 20s (even taking down the alpha dethclaw, with some mines and chems to help). Even the vanilla tri-beam gives great damage, firing rate, good ammo consumption. Great for a low strength character

My guess is in FNV a "quest" in the geck (essentially a script) exists that includes every addiction in the game that is cured when called too. Perhaps it was accidently deleted from the list or possibly left out when they recreated it for FNV. If you have GECK installed open it and search for "Doctors" in geck filter. Click through and you will find a "quest "with that name. Essentially you must have Player.removeSpell (addiction name)" added to the script for it to be removed. Its not as simple as just "check for anything that is an addiction and remove it).

My personal favorite is anti material rifle with Inc. Use in vats scan all enemies in the area they will all start taking fire damage. Re enter vats to stack. Switch to exp ammo. Take buffout medx and phyco along with rebound. Action girl perk rank 2. And just walk into quarry junction.

Wait are you sure about the fixer thing? Literally playing an unmodified New Vegas run where I can't talk to anyone. I got addicted to Med-x, Psycho, and Jet, and had no way of permanently curing my addiction. I did take fixer, but it worked as intended, when it timed out all my addictions came back.

regarding true hit rate of automatic melee weapon'[s the only way i can think of calculating it without error margin is to set an invincible npc in combat and wail on him till the weapon breaks. the process takes like 11 minutes with industrial hand so your average of 12 seems to be about right. Knowing how broken this game is its i guess tied to FPS lol, so testing is most likely pointless tho

This forgets what most forget about the legion, troop discipline. When you are a brainwashed slave that will most likely be crucified if you route, theres very little reason to not throw yourself towards battle Now if you are a tribal fighting for a guy in a screen or a soldier in a dwindling army theres very little reason not to run and make your life elsewhere

Stacking the various chem duration buffs: logan's loophole, day tripper, chemist, fast times, gives you a 233% duration on all chems (266% for turbo) and all timed consumables (the perks are bugged lol). Among other things you can get 7 second turbo slow, 10-minute stealth boys/buffout/med-x, 10-minute-long healing from blood sausage...etc.

You really shouldve touched on ammo types and the bugs associated with ammo swapping. The topics been beaten to death in terms of the ammo swap bug BUT all the videos just mention loading rockets into the laser detonator. The thing is, you can load any ammo into any gun. Which means you can get and buff or debuff from ammo types and apply it to any weapon. So you can load 5mm into anything and get the armor piercing effect without any drawbacks to damage out put. Or you can load plasma slugs into anything and do plasma damage, the crazy part is the spread reducer also applies to the current gun so a normal gun has .35x the spread in a gun that already is extremely accurate. If you do a guns AND energy build at the same time you can get the best perks from both skill sets and have them all apply at once. The ammo system is probably the funnest thing to mess around with

While not *broken* per se, I do think it's interesting that there is a weapon which is considered bottom-of-the-barrel which is viable through every single piece of content with the right build: the Silenced .22 pistol on a stealth crit build. I've done challenge runs, and one of them was a "one weapon only with no speech checks" run. This means one *type* of weapon and not "one copy of one weapon". I was usually running around with 4-5 of the pistols in question...but yeah, it's never actually too difficult. The toughest fight in the game is the Legendary Bloatfly simply because it can shoot back.

undustrial hand enjoyers are acknowledged in this video. Nice thing to add to this weapon's supremacy is that HTH damage keeps raising after 100, which is way past overkill with this weapon but still something to think about. Loogan Loophole junkie with industrial hand and tri-beam is the most fun to be had in this game.

I love adding more perks to my game through mods just to make my character even more broken and overpowered. That's what makes New Vegas even greater in my opinion.

My broken build relies on the scorched power armor and the rad child perk with all the melee perks. Its ridiculously busted. I hardly ever take serious amounts of damage. The slow movement speed adds to the ambience of being an unstoppable force. Also add the perk that makes you faster when you enter radiation. That part isn't what you want anyway. The part that matters is the extra ap regen from having high radiation effects. You'll realize very quickly that you'll almost never be too far away from someone. Using vats to close the distance. Mostly you very rarely will be in danger. Just because you'll regen 8 to 10hp per second. Anything that does make you use healing can't insta kill you. It's a fundamentally broken build. No doubt. I find that the thing that makes this build so broken is the healing as well as the armor. Full auto weapons just take forever to deal decent damage to you. Combine the regen with blood sausage and thin red paste and even without the PA you'll be regening far too much to be hurt for any real amount of time. I call this build the Abomination. 😂

Completely agree with you on the holorifle, when I played Dead Money I just stuck with the missing laser pistol from that Brotherhood quest lol
