without a doubt, every time i need assistance with some kind of graphical program, Nick is the man to save me. Thank you time and time again my friend.
I discovered your channel, subbed and watched a lot of videos about GIMP since July of 2020 and man, you are a great tutor. Huge thanks for everything, I have learned so much things that now I use GIMP almost for anything, usually for personal amusement and hobbies like making texture mods for games etc. Take care:D
You are by far the best instructor for this sofware! Thank you so much! You are appreciated for all your time & effort you put into these videos. I have learned a lot in a short time and looking forward to more. Again...THANK YOU!
Recently I purchased the Affinity Designer during their Black Friday Sales. However, I keep coming back to inkscape because there are so much more extension that is missing in AD. Inkscape is absolutely amazing and Nick's tutorial make it easy for everyone. Thank you for the tutorial.
I use them both. Affinity Suite was the best investment for me. I usually complete Designer with Inkscape, I like Inkscape but some bigger files makes it slow.
Nick I am so in love with you right now - I'd been trying and failing at grunge texture for sooo long - thank you so much for the free resources too you are a legend!!
Nick, you are the best inkscape teacher, your voice and explanations, are amazing, please vomit more content, Im just starting to do this, you are great inspiration, and everything Im watching from you lets me learn a ton, please continue doing more vids, 2 a week like before, its one for 2 weeks now, Ill keep doing more and mopre of your videos, its really awesome, keep going. And sincerely, thanks.
Yo thanks so much for the tutorial and textures. I’ve been trying to figure out how to add a transparent splatter like effect to tshirt designs to where you see the shirt color through the splatter and not white or black splatter. Like a transparent splatter and this helped tremendously. Again thank you and God bless.
Love your videos Nick! Thank you so much. Its been really helpful to learn inkscape in the last few months. Im still learning, for the life of me I can get this done in inkscape version 1.1. I must have missed something!
Your tutorials are so easy to follow. I downloaded Inkscape and started creating logos because of you, keep up the great work. Can you do a tutorial on how to get a glitter effect on texts?
This tut worked great, cheers! ... Question. I'm having trouble using this technique when I add a stroke to the text. I think the issue is that I can't get the two (text + stroke) to work together as one. Weird things happen. How do I group, or union, the two as one object?
I'm learning so much with your tutorials, thanks Nick! Quick question: is there a way to list the objects, path, etc. somewhere? Like you would with the layers in GIMP
Hi great tutorials as usual, on this case may I ask? Do we have to do the process letter by letter or can we apply the effect to a text in just one step process? Thanks in advance for any help. 👍👍
You can apply the same effect to any kind of object, be it single letters, words or a logo. If you have a text, don`t forget to turn it into a path first ("Path" - "Object to Path", then click "Ungroup"). Then continue as shown in the tutorial.
I'm a little curious why you chose to only apply the texture to the inner area of the letter. Was it just an artistic choice, or was there a technical reason?
I recently tried to apply a textured to a font but was unable to due to one image not being a path, that being the textured image I'm guessing. help or tips please.
Hi Nick! How I can Get your Inskcape overlay like you have in your video,I don't have the same overlay as you and I can't follow your steps! Please tell me!Have a good day btw!
Nick I had a quick question. How do you get Inkscape to run so smoothly? Every video I see (and even when I use it), the program is super choppy and slow. Are you changing a setting inside the program to use less memory or something?
There's actually an easier way to do this that I've done numerous times in any program that has a spray gun. All you have to do is create text & use the spray gun to remove the main color of the text with white. You only have to make sure that the spray dynamics are set to the proper flow.
These videos are always interesting, entertaining and useful. Is there one of these about how to set up Inkscape to look like it does in the videos? I'm using Inkscape 1.0 (4035a4fb49, 2020-05-01).
Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Inkscape when I try to use my grafics tablet. The cursor is located much further above than it is shown, so when I try to draw, the object appears a few cm dislocated. Strange is, when I use the mouse, it works as it should. Does someone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
Hey Nick, I would like to join your Inkscape Masterclass, but unfortunately here in Indonesia 🇮🇩 Vimeo is blocked. Is it still possible for me to get access to your course?
I followed you step. But note does not appear. Can you please tell why. I duplicated the letter. Changed the color of the letter. I simplify. I click dynamic offset. but note does not appear.
Hey, Nick! Sorry, this comment is not related to the video. I need a bit of expert help. I struggle a lot with uploading to Canva the svg created in Inkscape. They seem fussy and I'm a beginner. I always finish designs in Canva and would be great to be able to upload svg instead of png. Would you have any tips? Maybe there is something I'm doing wrong. So far, I didn't find a solution for this...
That's an overkill pc for Inkscape, so it's probably not your hardware's fault. What OS are you using? Are you using the most recent version of the program? In the Inkscape website you can download different versions of it, so you can try and see if that works for you
I have a question to anyone who may be able to help. In my inkscape, when I draw a circle or square, it is automatically drawing with cut outs in them. Stars and triangles no longer look like their original shape. I have no idea I did to it. Anyone has any tips to get it back to normal? Thanks 😊
I'm not sure if I understood your problem. I'm guessing you're saying that your circles aren't drawn completely, they appear like they have been "sliced", right? If that's so, when you select the circle tool and draw a circle, in the top toolbar, to the right of the number values, you can probably see four different icons: three slices and a solid circle. That's where you select what kind of circle you want to draw. The three first options are types of slices (which is probably what you're drawing) and the solid circle is the option to draw a complete circle. Select that option after you draw a slice, that will turn your slice into a complete circle. Hope this helps

You should create your own brand of T-Shirts that just say "Path > Difference" on them.
Your tutorials are always so clear and concise. It’s not easy to do both of those things!

I love all of your videos Nick, keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Excellent timing. I literally have to do this on Monday.
Omg I just discovered dynamic offset after all these years!!
Awesome tutorial. Thank you!
great as always!!!!!!!!!!
Right on time, just when I was looking for a brush like font 😆
You can also: Extension > Modify Path > Add Nodes
If you don't want to manually add nodes.
Super clear and useful - thanks!
Awesome as usual thanks Nick.
You have great and excellent videos, thank you for always sharing.
hello nick, is there a tutorial on how to draw symmetrical (mirror) with inkscape, I've searched but haven't found it. thank you good luck always!!!
Great vidsNick! I recently stopped using illustrator because I love Inkscape!
Amazing tutorial, well explained.
Thank you a lot, man!

I've been wanting to do one of these for so long..thanks 😊
Great video. Thanks for sharing
thanks Nick
Thank you!
Looks dope, definitely trying this out!
Thank you man, great as always. I think that in the spanish version would be this: Extensiones ---> Modificar trayecto --> Agitar nodos...

Can I do this today a whole design with text converted to path and shapes converted to path?
Hi, Nick! I wanna know how to use the filter editor. Do you know some youtube channel learning like you? I can't understand the way they learn.
Hi
Do you allow me for use your designs in commerical projects?
Thank you
Hi Nick, I'm a fan of your works man. Can you make video about t-shirt design with Inkscape? can we do tshirt design with Inkscape? Thanks in advance
Awesome!
Amazing
Seriously? On my birthday? Can't be coincidental! LOL

I have a tutorial on setting up the dark theme here: logosbynick.com/inkscape-dark-theme/
@@LogosByNick thank you!
@@LogosByNick what version of Inskcape do you use?
Do you think you could show how to do the lightning effect on props
1st page! Great work Nick, thanks for all you do.
Do you have any Ink Stitch tutorials
Muchas gracias¡ Eres genial.
hey nick what version of inkscape do you have coz i cant get the version you have
If you're talking about the black theme, here it is: logosbynick.com/inkscape-dark-theme/

Ok but then the marks would be white and not transparent. Or did I misunderstand?
Is this for Inkscape, or for another software?
@@ninopriore You could do Path/Difference to remove the white sections from the letter's fill, effectively making those bits transparent.
Hey nick, can you do interstellar objects like nebulas, blackhole, or galaxies in Inkscape 😅
I tried zooming into the video as if I were in inkscape. lol

Thank you
Hey Nick, I would like to join your Inkscape Masterclass, but unfortunately here in Indonesia 🇮🇩 Vimeo is blocked. Is it still possible for me to get access to your course?
Yes, the course isn't hosted on Vimeo, it's hosted on Teachable. I only use Vimeo for the website tutorials.
I followed you step. But note does not appear. Can you please tell why.
I duplicated the letter.
Changed the color of the letter.
I simplify.
I click dynamic offset. but note does not appear.
can u explain about the function of object to path
It converts it from a text object to a vector object that can be altered the same way you alter regular shapes and drawings made in Inkscape.
it would be fun to creat your own textures by splattering some paint on paper, scanning it and tracing the bitmap. unique texture guaranteed
Did you create Inkscape?
Once I get to “path>intersection” everything disappears…any tips?
How can I do dotwork effect?
Is the scratch license free for commercial?
Yes
