    This is a fantastic tutorial, it is much easier than I had thought. The tip with the eraser is really great, I had no idea that is possible. There is one thing you can do simpler (at least with the newer version 1.4). If you want to set the transparency, you can actually right-click on the transparency box at the bottom (where you typed a number manually). The right click shows a pop up with the options 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. If you use transparency a lot, that is quite a useful "trick".

    I've looked through your videos and am unable to find what I'm looking for. Have you done a tutorial on cutting/dividing an image into repeating triangles where each piece can then be saved as an individual series of images? Maybe you did one with squares? It would be like replicating the process of cutting up pieces of an image with scissors and putting the pieces in a pile for a collage. Thanks in advance. Stay inspired!

    I'm not sure if this is anyhow related... I am having trouble clipping a rectangle out of a photo. I want to use photo's as a background for a video, with the video inset into a box in the image, (without using canva, etc)... I have tried using clip-set, mask and path-difference with no luck... Not even converting the image to a trace bitmap.. there has to be a way, but I'm just missing it somewhere. I have been making my own video pins for pinterest, but this has me stuck unless I keep using. This tutorial seems somewhat close but not quite... I'm sure it's simple, I'm just making it hard... Great video as always.. now I just need to play around with this new technique!!

    • @brainangles
      @brainangles Рік тому +1

      You need to use the bezier tool to draw the rectangle for your video opening over your background image first. Then fill it with a colour you can see over your image. Then create a black rectangle over the entire image; set it back one layer so you see the smaller video rectangle; hold shift and click on both and then path/difference. Then select the whole thing and click on Object/Clip/set clip. The video opening rectangle is now a transparent cut out. I learned this from Michael Brig. Stay inspired!

      I probably should have time lapsed it at least. I was out of time that night filming. You basically draw a shape around each part with the Bezier pen. I turn it green with 50% transparency, but that’s just personal preference. Here is a video that shows it better: ua-cam.com/video/zLuQSBXWpt0/v-deo.htmlsi=ZFrzDG8aR1SgJRSS
