Thank you , for explaining the app in great detail. Now I feel more comfortable working this app. It was very slow for me in the beginning. I like the Uber app, hopefully one day Door Dash will update their app that makes it easier to move around in.
Uber app is waaaayyyy better, not to mention, I have non stop deliveries with Uber but Door Dash to most I got till now was 4 deliveries in a day.

I DD last night for the very first time. My problem was getting lost. I have google maps on my phone. There were a few occassions when it told me to turn left onto a one way or turn right onto a runway. I was very fustrated. My rating was very low because it took me so long to deliver the food. I will give it another shot tonight. Appreciate the video it helped quite a bit. Thanks

Correct! the standard for Door dash is prescheduled times, however if there are red areas on the map you can jump on board!
I'm seeing schedule availability in towns FAR from me. Not seeing cities that are closer.

Hello sir hope your day going well I've just recently watched your doordash video on how to operate the app and start making deliveries I recently downloaded the Dasher app and I can see on your video which was uploaded August of 2017 maybe that they've updated the app a little bit I hope it all works the same and I wanted to say that your video was very educational and I think it's going to be helpful to me in my venture this is the first time I've ever signed up for this type of job using a mobile device so just wanted to say thank you for the video very helpful

can anyone answer this for me - so if an area isnt "red" or doesnt show up when you hit "start dashing" you cant work in that area until it turns red, right? in this scenario this is not a scheduled dash. thank you for any help.

1. What's a safe blanket?
2. Where do I get a door dash hot bag?
3. Do I need to wear a door dash uniform in order to do this? If so where can I pick up the uniform ?

A safe blanket is just something you put your food on in order to prevent a spilt on your car seats. Doordash should send you a bag after signing up. As far as the DD shirt, you can wear one if you like but you're not required to

So, do you have to order the food as a dasher? Or just go and say you're there to pick it up?
I could see customers getting angry if a dasher decides on comparable item if customer's original choice wasn't available, even if dasher tried to let customer know and wasn't available to talk. I wonder if selecting nothing is better than guessing what comparable item could replace customer's original desired item. also, nowadays with potential food allergies. thanks for posting, though!
This is like postmates very easy and to the point.
I don't understand why I cant schedule 6 to 7 days out. 8 counties in the area and still doesnt. I only get it after others have e selected theirs. So what the catch?
I just moved to Knoxville and the only decent DoorDash day I have is on Saturdays I moved here with a promise of a job that didn’t happen so I said I’m gone do dash until I find a job one good day not gone make it lyft drivers here get like 52 cent per mile and other suggestions of what I can do ? Grubhub not hiring in this area
0:34 - the first screen that pops up on my Doordash app is the "add new address" screen. Also, I haven't received my kit yet, and it's been a long time - couple weeks or more.

Unless things have changed since your video, it is my understanding that the grey areas mean there are sufficient amount of drivers in that area and nothing to do with the amount of orders.

When I start my door dash app it literally says not one order in my whole entire state and all states around me , the whole map is grey. I just become a dasher one day and didn’t even get a chance to do one order. Last night there were so many pink areas to do business in now NOTHING. I was looking out of curiosity last night at how to set up an order and I declined about 10 offers, did that cause me to be fired? I sent screenshots to a customer service agent and called them and they said they have never seen anything like it. Also when I try to schedule orders it says cannot load data because not it right format. I could really use the extra income. Can someone please please please help me out?
Im confused it doesnt give me the option to adjust my schedule all it does it give me these 9-9:30 blocks and I try to make them longer then 30min and it just keeps resetting i am beyond confused

It's crazy that you can only 'Dash' at certain times or schedule your driving time. When I drive, between my other two jobs, I turn my Uber, Lyft and DoorDash apps on at the same time and take the first request that comes to my iphone. I don't want to have to turn Uber and Lyft off just to do DoorDash. They need to fix their app to be more like rideshare.
Aint none of that in app and you place order u put in address and it says u half to pay basically out of your pocket but ur looking to pickup to work not eat
I don't know if this is a dumb question but when you go to a restaurant to pick up an order do you actually order it or do you just pick it up and pay for it?

Do u have to drive 50 miles just to dash? That is crazy my app says 50 miles. Why would have to drive an hour just to dash. There is a mall and lots of food places 30 mins away from my house. An hour is too far.

K C unfortunately no. You only get paid for the distance between restaurant to customer. Keep that in mind when accepting/rejecting offers.

My city doesn't even show up in the schedule but they still sent me a starter kit. I selected motorcycle and i get 0 offers. Ive contacted support and no help. They continue to harass me about not haveing completed and offers. I cant change my vehicle type so im stuck.

I just started today 3-4 hrs and I only made $7.56. Im feeling that im not wairing on the right screen. Should it say "looking for orders" or should I be on the screen that allows you to "dash now"? So confused!! :(

How to put the Door Dash in pause? I turn off the app, since Uber was very busy for me, but Door Dash still sent me calls, and because I didn't pick it up, was very busy with Uber, now they don't really give me rides, I don't have the Dash Now, just when they really need some one, I'm even limited with the schedule, it does not allowed me to get what I want, it fill like they want to punish me for not picking up those calls. So yes, I'd like to be able to pause, so at least they don't get mad at me and I try to get some just when I want.
honestly there has to be some sort of false advertising because it says - whenever you want in their advertising you know and you're saying like when you get to that point it's not just like that

Today I was in the city but my dasher app kept saying I was not in the right area so I could not login. I had no Dasher # to call. It was so frustrating. Your links only have URLs. Is there a Dasher 800#?
June Breeze. It does this to me as well, if I am trying to start my FIRST dash away from my home area. I have to start my shift close to my home for me to begin my FIRST (and only the FIRST) dash or the app will tell me that I am not at the correct starting point. Hope this helps.
One question? Did u have your GPS on when you left your house or did you turn on GPS when you got to the preffered area?
So when you hit dash and go is it guaranteed you will get orders right away?
My first doordash was a disaster. I drove 15 miles to a red zone area. I accepted an order, then it navigated me 15 minutes away to the wrong restaurant. At that point I was late. It then navigated me to the correct place, which was next door to were I started. I collected the order. It said to confirm drinks, etc. Then it kept giving me an error code. I could not accept the order in the app and the food was already late. I found the address in the app and used my car navigation to give the person the food anyways. As I approached the house, the app finally caught up and let me deliver it and collect my $5.40. I logged out and went home. Debating if I'm going to try this app again or switch to Ubereats instead.

Doordash steals your tips too. If they tip $0 or $20, you still get the minimum.

as far as doordash I just got my activation kit today and I was expecting my shirt I mean it even asked me what size I was in the application process should I still expect them to be sending me a shirt or am I one of the only States where you have to buy it yourself at the headquarters

You have to go to the restaurant or place DoorDash tells you to go to, pick up the item and take it to the location on the app. You'll have to accept requests first in order to see that info.

You don’t have to schedule, just drive to red zone and the dash now will come on, then start dashing 👍👍

Does anybody know how to get in touch with Doordash support? I just started using Doordash but during sign up, I couldnt register my red card and now im stuck. Does anybody else have that issue?

They made it sound so damn easy, but then you realize there is a hell of a lot more you have to do than just pick-up the food and drive it to your destination. No. Plus, you actually don't get to pick your own schedule, nor are you your own boss.

They used to provide it to new delivery drivers, but yeah, now you have to go out and buy your own. You don't have to buy theirs though.

I have the same problem. I don't understand why my app looks so different. I very rarely see the hot spot sign and before accepting an order it does not show me the distance between the order and the customer's house.
I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days now. I also called them Finally got a chat to help support. They told me to uninstall the app. Then reinstall it. I did that, and still don't see the page when it says Dash Now. Do I need to be in a RED ZONE for the app to work? I'm confused!
There are problems I'm having a hard time with too.. stuff on the app that I'm supposed to b able to find and I can't.. like I would like to schedule ahead of time for the next day but can't find out how.. and; ve been instructed to use the filter ... I can't find the filter.. I think my app is faulty or something
@@jamilikins5185 I did get mine working. I kept messing with it. Call customer support. They helped me. Lately they saturated my market with way to many drivers! I went from over $300 a week to $150, same hours too. So, I'm doing Waitr right now, they paying more too. No more $300 runs! I'll stay with Waitr as long as I make the money.
You know the first time I dashed I got my schedule right from my house but could never again even if the map was red... Last night I found a lot of comments of people saying the app itself doesn't work well..

That area is a it in need of any dashers they will email you when a need becomes available....I was getting the same thing they emailed me and now I'm active in my area
@@letsspeakfacts well I called them and a woman said she would go over my file again and they would send me my red card and schedule me and she didnt say nothing for like 15 minutes but was still on the phone and I kept saying hello hello and nothing so I hung up.. really could use the extra money
@@katamatv212 don't worry you will get there just keep checking the app daily and email the support to let them know you have not received any knowledge as to what you should do next....Do you have Uber and Lyft where you are that good money.....You can also try Amazon flex if available....Postmates and grubhub....

The thing that makes me mad is when the customer changes there address the one I had already accepted this the address was 11 miles the new one I called customer services about thisthey told me it would not effect my time but sure enough it did those liars they knocked me down took 33% away from me it rect my 5.00 I guess most of the people are complainers they want u to find the place where there at most houses are in a maze they get upset if u want there help then give u a bad score I reported 2+ tonight that they were unruly to me maybe it was a minute or to late the one woman was upset as she did not tell us no instructions on what place there at I am going all around this place then she comes out and was pissed off I know she gave me a bad rating on this I ended it after they only gave me one run every hour so I called it for the night
Do we go up to their door or wait in the car?
I've seen it done both ways. Most people prefer drivers deliver, but you can always wait in your car if you need to.
With the Red Card, do the dashers load it with money?
The Ali Robins Show yes it is loaded before you even get there. You simply show up and swipe with the card.
