Why so complicated?? I do Uber and Uber is very simple..press GO and drive...if you have time you can deliver and thats it...it shows busy areas and so on...DD is too complex and too much info...unnecessary DASH for 30 minutes, DASH in this area...set up the time to deliver...too much
This app is so much more annoying than using ubereats...especially the GPS system..good thing I know my area...also I HATE having to take a photo of every order unlike uber you have the option to skip that..the whole "dashing" thing is annoying as well...I have to keep clicking the app on and off to refresh it to get any action...only reason I signed up really was because the payouts are good and I need to start multi Apping BUT lordd the things I mentioned need to change.
Awesome video. If a person wants to do this 6 to 8 hours a day, would you suggest they take their vehicle to a hot zone surrounded by restaurants and just sit there until the next dash comes in?
For Android users on Android 13 use the beta I think it may help with issues I couldn't log in and even get started, I think that's common sometimes backing out bypassed it because it actually worked but didn't validate in JavaScript on their side but it'll log in.
I tried dashing a couple of times this week and will not be continuing. The app is so inconvenient, and distracting,, like someone said Uber, and even Lyft is straightforward and simple. It would be helpful if you could project it to your car's screen.
I’m so glad your in same city as me. I just got approved yesterday I’m in Arlington. It wasn’t busy so I had to drive to Berry. Ok not bad but just wanting to know can we dash in areas that’s not busy because apparently all my dash keep pulling up is like downtown area. It keeps showing it’s not busy where I stay.
I don't get it. I signed up and was accepted but every time I log into the app I can't get past the 1st page that says *_"Set Goal For The First Week"_* The screen just keeps repeating. Could it possibly be because I live outside of the zip code I want to dash in?
So, I just became a dasher last Friday Nov 25th. I was in an accident today while on delivery. Does doordash do anything to help us. Was on the clock while doing my job.
Great video.Question if I may. Just started DD. When I get to take photo section I assume you select the camera option but after snapping the photo how do you get back to the confirm page? Is there a button on the actual photo page that brings you back to where you should be? Is it automatic? I close out the photo then the app brings me back to the take photo page again. @@realbkg I take a photo and the app does not take me to the next step. The app takes me to the previous step and again tells me to take a photo. No photo is sent to DD or to the customer. It asks me to repeatedly to take a photo. I can never complete the delivery process because the photo does not save. I hope this clarifies my issues.
I know what you’re talking about & this screwed me up big time. When it was time to take the photo I thought I was supposed to leave the app, go to my own/separate photo icon & take a photo. Then I could get back to the app to the next step. It turned out that on the same page as where it tells you to take the photo there is place/thing/icon right on that same page that lets you take the photo they want. I didn’t see that & NO PLACE told me that. Sorry, but I did not see it or understand that. NOW I got it but it was NOT clear. So you take the photo FROM that same page & that’s how it gets stored & sent directly to Doordash. I hope I explained that ok & helped. Good luck 👍🙋♀️

When it asks me to complete the delivery steps, I'll select the photo using the "from gallery" option rather than the DD "from phone" option. The reason I do this was that there were many, many times when I would use the "from phone" option, started back to my vehicle only to find that the picture did not submit and it wanted me to take the photo again. To do that, I'd need to go back to the address and take the photo again. If the customer already picked up their food, I could not retake the photo, and I had no proof it was actually delivered. If I take a photo using my phone camera app, the picture is stored in my gallery, and I don't have to be concerned about it not submitting while at the door. I can even wait until I return to my car to complete the delivery steps.
What he is not saying is they do not know how traffic or weather conditions are where you are. Example it snowed here a couple months ago and the had pick up times and drop off that were unrealistic with the snow. Every puck up was late and every drop off was late at least 10 to 15 mins. Because they do not monitor weather. They also do not monitor construction of any type. Sometimes the construction is not a big deal but more often than not there is a major street or highway closed for construction so you have to detour around that takes time they don't take that in to account so you drop off the order late get a bad review. Not to mention door dash base pay is crap. They all offer bonus pay at times that are dead in some areas. Up here in Tacoma Wa we have a great $5 bonus per order all the time almost 24/7 the issue is its on a island and you have to take a ferry to and from a d the ferry are not running on usual time due to covid however the times on the app do not reflect that
I was under the impression that their software monitors the weather, in detail, everywhere. If that is going on like you say I myself would call DD immediately & explain the situation. I don’t know this for a fact but this is what I myself would do. Good luck.

Hi! If you haven’t got this worked out yet I would call Doordash right away & get them to go through things step by step. Their instructions are AWFUL. If you can’t get them on the phone email them & ask for a phone call. These are just what I would do -I don’t work for DD & am new myself. Good luck.

We had $500 DoorDash earnings (our whole weeks living since my husband and I are both dashers and do team work) stolen from hackers pretending to be a doordash rep. Doordash doesn’t ask you for any email codes, your passwords or any personal information over the phone. So even if you think you’re talking to a rep through your dash app- DO not give them information! Say you’ll call doordash directly. If their legit they won’t care that you want to call back for safety. Also, DoorDash does not require its dashers to sign up for the direct dash card. And they don’t make you sign up for it while you’re on the line with them. Please be careful. DoorDash isn’t warning people. This was the only way I knew how to warn people. Customers turning on their light can be a safety issue as well as a timing one. I’ve been texting after confirming pick up: “I’m headed your way. Please turn on your porch light if you have one. Thanks!” I’ve only got positive response so far. Also, please don’t steal food whether you’re a customer or a fellow dasher. A lot of us dashers are out there trying to what living we can. (After being laid off.) We need the earnings and have to use our gas and time to do these jobs. It’s probably talking to deaf ears because maybe people who do that only care about themselves anyway. On Door Dash, the amount shown includes the tip, unless the tip amount is over $8.00. Then the actual amount will be shown after delivery is completed.

Also, I'm confused on how to let DoorDash know when and where to send me deliveries..should I drive to a hot location and sit and wait or should I check the app to somehow request deliveries from certain areas?? Correct, if you schedule a Dash, then you'll get orders during that time period. If you open your app and see the Dash Now option, that means they need Dashers to login right now to handle orders. Many drivers say it's best to not drive around empty too much, but they map can help you. You will quickly learn the areas in your city that are most busy. Hope this helps.
I just made a dasher account. Every time I log into my dasher account, it always ask for my bank and routing number even though I entered that info already. How do I stop that?
I just did my first order yesterday. The app told me to put in the last 3 digits of the order number. I put it in and it kept telling me that I picked up the wrong order. The last 3 digits was OEC. Should I have just put in the numbers that came before it?
Do they really deactivate if you fall below 4.2? I don't know why a couple people gave me 4/5.. but I guess I need to be more careful about picking up orders that will be late.

The app will tell you when you can "Dash Now". If there are too many Dashers on the road, it will tell you to schedule later.
