Yep if there's two things made for each other, it's Cherry and Chocolate. I hope the girls shared as much enthusiasm and delight as you did Gareth. Nice of your daughter to make the suggestion to review these. No doubt she knew she'd be getting one afterwards. Lol hahaha😅. Nice one Gareth 👍🤤😀
This is crazy, I've been on a diet now for 12 week I'm sat waiting for my Asda delivery he is 3 stops away, I've lost 60 lbs and I've ordered a box of these as my first treat in 12 weeks lol, I saw your video and was like No Way lol, anyway the driver can't get here soon enough, my first treat in 12 week, I've not cheated once and my mouth is watering now. Love your videos, thank you.
@@BaldFoodieGuy well I couldn't just eat 1 I had to take a second, they are to good lol got to be careful not to go back to eating this kind of stuff its far to addictive, cheers for replying
Oh... These are screaming Black Forrest! Cherries, Chocolate, and Gaz's recommendation of clotted cream - A real 70's Classic! (and it's Classic for a reason!) 😁
I've just bought 2 different types of mince pies from Aldi. The puff pastry ones are new, they are OK but nowt special. Those chocolate and cherry ones look yummy. My daughter can pick me some up next time she goes shopping. Nice video, keep them coming 👍
I just found these in my local ASDA. Very sweet, but I dumped one of mine into a bowl of thick, steaming custard! Wot a desert!! Lovely Jubbly! You know it make’s sense!!! Go on. Buy some. He who dares, wins! 🙈😂😂😂 Regards, Dave
A great review. Yes, you can’t beat cherry and chocolate. £2.75 is just right for a bit of indulgence 🤪🤪. I’ve already added these to my shopping list. Last night was my first time going live and it was a blast. I will be on board for the next one. 👍🏻👍🏻.
Take care with hot filling. Try Maccy D's Apple pie. The hottest substance known to man (Or a jam sammich in the breville toastie when I was 9 or 10)...?
I had some of these last week. You're right, they are delicious. Asda have some toffee apple mince pies in the same range, I got those this week and they're equally moorish!
These look great 😋😋😋 it's always interesting to see what new spin on the humble mince pie they will come up next 😊... well done to your daughter for spotting these 👏
I would always heat these, then allow to cool down. It freshens up the pastry and filling. I do this with all mince pies. Re the evenings drawing in, we have to wait till Friday 22 December for the shortest day. Thereafter the days will start getting longer. By 9 January we will notice a definite change. Can't wait!
They look absolutely lovelyjubbly my son as delboy used to say 😃😃😄😄 another proper belting review, going to have to try these, keep safe and well as always Gareth.
Extraordinary timing of this video: I was just about to head out to get some shopping and there's an ASDA near me. On another note: I notice you get lots of stuff from Aldi but not from Lidl. Is this because you prefer the former to the latter or is it just for practical reasons?
Cherries and chocolate, Gaz? Marriage made in heaven mate🤤. I'd go for Chantilly cream with caster sugar and vanilla extract...maybe even a drop of Kirsch or Cointreau👍.
Hey Gareth, when you reviewed Aldi's knock-off Spam, did you notice on the receipt that you get a WARRANTY? ... You also get a warranty on Crumpets too! I asked an assistant, but she hadn't a clue! ... She said the warranty was probably if your Spam has "spoiled" in the can, or your Crumpets are dry. I joked to a friend, that I was going to eat my Crumpets, then claim a refund under the "warranty" in a years time! 🤣 EDIT: I don't like Cherry things, but regular Mince Pies are half-price at Aldi (£0.55 per box of six) ... I got 18 Mince Pies for £1.65 (£0.09 per pie approx.)
Bought mr kiplings new pear and apple xmas pies, £2.85 for 6 and as dry as an old bone with next to no filling. Wouldn't buy s ything from kipling again These look decent, love anything cherry so looking fwd to trying these.
Gareth, I'm not sure if this was an honest review, so to make sure I am going go to Asda and buy some and taste them for myself. I don't often make myself suffer, but sometimes I am prepared to do things for the sake a of humankind. And I might buy some cream just to make sure. 🤣
Of course you need 2 to make sure, looked fabulous. Hope the girls were close handy, otherwise you might have needed another trip to the shop. I don’t need cream, don’t like it, that would spoil it for me. 😂😂😂😂
Bought a pack of these this morning and had a couple of them heated up with cold Ambrosia "best ever" custard. A good recommendation, Gaz: I really enjoyed them. (Un) fortunately, my wife isn't interested in sharing them. Ho, ho, ho.
Guess after this..There's a bat in hells chance of nabbing a pack.... But being out of bog roll and resolutely only buying the budget yellow Asda 9 packs...Might take a shuffle past the bread section! ;)
