    Me thinks 3/8" not 1/2" a half in is a big hole!

      0713mas You 100% need a 1/2" hole. the documentation and numerous installs I've done confirm this.

    The M1A is a legend. I've had two (currently have it with my Epiphone DR500MCE) and are the best thing going.

    Ok, thanks a lot for answering so quickly. It's just that I don't know my likings and therefore don't know which pole could go lower or which one could go higher. I have no idea whatsoever on how to equalise them. I just want to equalise the poles for standard use and not have to adapt the poles whenever I play a different song or music type.
    Thanks
    Max

      Maxime de Laet OK, then I suggest to keep the poles almost flush to the pickup. Plug in to your amp/set up, play a bit. If you feel like a string is not coming through clear or strong enough then raise the pole that is underneath eat a little. If you feel that a string is coming through TOO strong then lower it away from the strings. These poles though might not make the amount of change that I think you might be looking for. Which is why i suggested the additional gear. You should also check out the FISHMAN Aura.

    I had an M1A on a Yamaha FG800 I bought lately (barely used and pristine) and I like the sound thus far into a clean Fender Princeton Reverb. Will know soon at open mic what a mixing board makes it sound like at SamAsh events. M1A is about $150 new and my guitar deal was guitar, pickup, locking Gotohs and a RoadRunner nice padded case for $170.... nit used enough to tell from brand new.

      Enjoy it! I haven't purchased the LR Baggs PARA DI but that will be next on the list but I've heard it works really well with this pickup. So that will be next on the list.

    Good demo . Guitar with m1 direct to mixer then audio goes out from studio monitor? No pre , no effects?

    • @Diego.Alonso.Music.
      @Diego.Alonso.Music.  2 роки тому

      Nope, no effects. Totally dry. On this demo, I just plugged straight in to a powered monitor.

    I stopped listening to the review and just started listening to you play. Dude you're amazing at guitar! How long have you been playing?

      Thanks so much for listening and your kind words, Davena :) I've been playing quite a while. Luckily, my parents started me on music lessons in the third grade and I haven't stopped playing since then.

    Hi, I bought an L.R Baggs M1 active too but don't really know how to equalise the poles with the allen key? Can I equalise the poles for standard use only (if yes, how do you tune them) or is it more convenient to adapt the poles whenever I play a different type of song?
    Thanks.
    Max

    • @Diego.Alonso.Music.
      @Diego.Alonso.Music.  9 років тому +2

      Maxime de Laet Hi Max. You just need to insert the allen key in the poles and turn to your liking. As you turn them up closer to the string, the sound of that string and around that string will come through stronger. Lots of guitarists prefer the poles further away from the strings. If you are looking to equalize for different songs and adjust frequencies or sweep through frequencies then I suggest you take a look at the LR Baggs Para DI or LR Baggs Venue Di.
      Thanks for viewing my video!!!

    you state in your video you have the LR baggs partial install on your guitar then from there you run cable to your mixer then output to your studio monitors? whats the exact connection and what kinda mixer ? behringer ?

      Apologies for the very late reply. I didn't receive a notification I was getting comments for some reason. Anyways, I was using a Samson micro mixer during the time I recorded this video. 1/4 inch guitar cable into the mixer. XLR out of the mixer into the XLR input of the powered studio monitor.

    Those are wire clips not something to protect the sound hole finish.

    How about the taylor gs mini,do you rehole to fit that output socket to amp?

    • @Diego.Alonso.Music.
      @Diego.Alonso.Music.  7 років тому

      If the hole on the Taylor GS Mini is not 1/2 inch already then yes.
