Straight, plain Jane, it looks too good to mess around with.
Decent set of tyres, wheels brought back to life, get the engine running as it should (without the K&N)
Haha, I KNEW you wouldn't be able to resist saving it from the scrapyard!
Much better project than the previous one. Dont start a car without checking fluids first, especially when you know it's been unused a long time.
Keep it standard, look great once it's had a machine polish
Brilliant we cars keep it standard look forward to the updates👍
It looks great Kev. I'd keep it all OEM doing what you suggested and having the paintwork fully 2 stage detailed and ceramic coated, then keep it as it'll only go up in value and will be a modern classic with it being a rare sight on the roads.
Nice little spotex exhaust and clean up. Will be good little runner. Good luck kev
Kev: "I'm a chav at heart"
Also Kev: Drives a Honda Jazz and CR-V
😂😂😂😂
Just the CRV, I definitely have a bit of chav in me that's dieing to escape but never had the chance until now 😂😂
@@KevTee Oh well perfect opportunity 😁
My dad had a mondeo with the same 2.0 engine. Oil changes every 5k and genuine filters and ford service parts including oil as we get employee discount. Car had done 215k when it was written off...oil was still golden then....engines are indestructible if looked after and correct oil is used
That's cool, love those. Keep it stock. That'll be a classic!
What a beautiful little car! Great colour too.
Sort the wheels, sort starting issues and other minor problems. Back to stock and good valet. Bob's your uncle, nice little earner and a future classic saved.
I had one. The exact same colour too. Most grey plastics went to satin black. Wheels in gloss black. Mountune exhaust. Lowered a little, so it didn't look like a 4x4. Looked amazing but close to oem. The black gloss wheels with the performance blue paint work was my favourite mod. Set the car off really nice.
The jack caps on the side skirts are known for flying off. Them and the alloy wheel caps. Looks like previous owner has put some sort of bolt on the wheel caps.
Gorgeous kev, I think you should have some fun with this one
Glad you got the fiesta ST as the next project car , will be a great little car
Absolutely love this car 😍😂
Poor little ST, it's had a rough life by the looks of it, and yes the stainless steel fuel rail is standard...
Kevin keep it oem them cars are so nice. Check the fuel pump they suffer from fuel problem
I had one of these but in white few yeara ago, lovely little hatchback great on fuel, insurance etc. Onky thing i actually done it was lower it 30mm on eibach lowering springs & got the alloys re coated from standard silver to gloss black
Glad you enjoyed your st and there both mods I've been considering 👌
Try using as many parts from Trents. Then total up the cost. This will demonstrate what can be done with reclaimed parts without breaking the bank. I bet your bosses would love that idea.
That's a great idea, maybe not for this project though as it doesn't need much 🤞 fantastic idea for a future accident damaged project 👍
Good choice Kev this is going to be a great project, I reckon keeping it simple would be best for this one, Alloy refurb, good clean and wax,Gloss black the grey plastics and get it mechanically spot on 👌
Keep it straight, don't mess with it keep it original Kev..x
Yep my thoughts too 👍
Looks a nice little number Kev. Don’t blame you for jumping on this one👍 good luck mate hope you get her back to nice condition and back on the road🙏🏼
Love this little car and can’t wait to hear it fire up. And I think we should go with your idea keep it some what oem but upgrade it a little. Keep up the brilliant work and thanks for the awesome content stay safe and take care
would love one of those for a track car. great for saving it :)
Loved my 05 Fiesta ST Blue with white wheels and straight through exhaust..... Swapped it for an 08 vectra sri doh
Absolutely love it kev all OEM but deffo a bigger back box.👌👌👌
I'd defo lower it. They look so much better lowered!
One of the best cars I've owned. Had mine for 12 plus years and regret selling it. Bring it back to life please ☺️
Good Friday evening everyone from wellington Somerset
Keep it standard and keep it for yourself Kev, in a few years time KEERCHING! 😊👍
Pretty much as you said Kev, refurb wheels, new tyres, I would put the air filter back to standard or fit a cold air intake as the one currently fitted will be sucking in hot air from the engine bay causing loss of power, like the idea of gloss black grill, oh yea and get it running first 😁
Yes priority is to get it running, I hear the ome induction kit is very restrictive so I think a new induction kit is required 👌
Hi Kev after watching you reveal your new project, it reminded me of a 2 litre Carlton i had, and that stopped running for no reason, turned out it was the cambelt. I was told if it was a 1.8 it would of trashed the engine. Luckerly it was just a new belt. Fingers crossed for Kev..
Just come across your channel and subscribed. Love these fiestas I agree keep it simple. Looking forward to the next video
Check the Cam Position sensor! Engine sounds good on turn over but if the Cam position sensor can't determine what the cam is doing it will do exactly what the little ST is doing and just turn over! Inexpensive part too replace too.
Thanks for the advice stew, I'll look into it 👌
Wow what a clean car definitely modify with OEM parts go a nice grey on the wheels and gloss black trims and uprate the brakes 👍
Yes Yes Yes!!!!! Keep Up The Videos Kev👍
Hey kev unlocked at a 2008 plate today.Absolutely mint.New refurbished wheel no marks on the bodywork, upgraded power steering pump, new mintex pads front and rear and new front coils, mint interior nontears or bolster marks on thenleatehr seats..Totally standard and engine was really smooth on start up amd no smoke.Wants £2500 is that too much?
Kev nice to you have a good boss and company to work for mate good luck with the car fella
Nice st Kev can’t wait to see what you’re going to with it make it a track day car
Hi kev I love the car get it back on road it looks like a lot of fun thanks again take care 😊👍🏻
Kev nice little Ford, will look great once you've done your magic to it.
Great cars I had one.
I loved a mk6 st. Wish I never sold mine
Big exhaust way to go, hope you keep it as your daily car 😄
Looking forward to this
Check the oil, if low they have a sensor to stop it from starting
Kev I’m a truck driver and I have still driving a proper Chav car a modified black 2002 Vauxhall Corsa C 1.8 16 valve with full irmscher body kit
Nice one kev be great I got 1990 RS turbo ford fiesta in White had car since 1995 in 1998 I fully restored car big thumbs up for channel 🤗 have great weekend with your family
Cheers jack, well envious of your Fiesta turbo, always been on my car bucket list 👌
@@KevTee it's great car it's my everyday car for work and I'm in middle of restoring ford escort RS turbo at moment in garage was heavy modified car taking car back to original factory spec
Love the idea of the car as I’m a ford guy at heart
For the none start issue, it can also be the crankshaft sensor Kev.
Keep it original. It will be more rare as an original, and probs worth more. Nice car.
Great content Kev 👍🏼👍🏼
OEM Kev. get it running then Front to back check with fluid changes then wheels to ford spec. Lovely little quick runaround. I'd keep it .
Nice one, have a great weekend Kev
Great little project car!
Personally I’d keep the look as close to OEM maybe change the wheels to gloss black and get some mountune upgrade goodies for the engine and exhaust !
Can’t wait to see the progress
hi kev i knew it would be this car i know you will make it look like a good car again keep it for yourself this time and do little mods to it take care bud
This was my first car I had it in silver. Loved it. Would love to get another one as can pick them up cheap
I don't think good ones are going to stay cheap for long so grab one whilst you can 👍
Absolutely beautiful car 😍
Thank you Chloe, it's going to look fab once it's complete 😊
Mega power upgrades but keep it looking oem
Nice car Kev keep it as standard mate, you stay safe mate
Absolutely Kevtee do up the ST & you canny beat being a chav at heart Pal. 👍
I've never owned a chav car, I do think I'm makeing up for it 😂😂
@@KevTee aye you could be making up for it Pal lol. You love cars & so do I but I love buses more if I’m honest but I’ve always been more of a bus buff me since the late 80s. 👍
Hi Kev really good into for trents and the s t looks really nice and let’s hope it’s a quick fix and you make a good profit on it and hope you are staying safe and well
Hi Kev,.. may be an idea to check the low voltage side of the ignition system generally thats indicated by sudden problems. Also check wiring for corrosion - trigger wire to the starter motor may need replacing.
You could invest in an OBD reader to see what faults (if any) are registered 👍 😉
Great vid looking forward to this
Max power!
I agree with what is said keep it plain, as you don't know why it is a non-runner yet, maybe the first thing to look at before doing any major work. but things like interior clean, wheel clean can be done before the engine repair. but what am I but an old guy. thinking sensibly in my old age of 44!! lol
I think you should put a full stainless exhaust and new KN filter. And referring wheel's+ new brakes disc/ pads.
Nooooooo lol no boy racer stuff. Keep it factory original it’ll be worth way more to resell.
An obd reader is a good addition for a non runner car it helps breakdown what could be wrong why its not running for
I’d say keep it as close to original as possible Kev, lovely looking car.
Kev m8, I was so pleased you got this lovely little st, do all you said, but i would put couple of nice white strips over bonnet roof like the newer s1600 etc. Sure the engine is a quick fix and please do cam belt, water pump. Csnt wait for more, Andy
Cheers mate, cam chain on these so don't have to worry unless it gets particularly noisy, water pump is a good shout though 👍
nice project!
Awesome kev do it up keep it st
Boy racer in Dorset .... yes keep it as it is clean up, wheels work as you said ............looks better than the Clio you had
Keep as is Kev.
Great video kev
Kev the chav haha love it, keep it oem just bring her back to life, I use to have the focus st170 fun little b road car
Looks like no fuel in it m8 😎🚗🚗🚗
Good man 👍🏻
I know we ve had some bad weather Kev,but the Scanias getting smaller and smaller! Great vid, stay safe.
Didn't you know thy shrink in the rain?
And go blue with the cold?
nice one Kev.....superb do it up and keep it for yourself..but please keep it standard, but concourse
They make great track cars.
Cracking little car kev 👍 and least this one doesn't have a swimming pool in the footwell! Definitely keep it standard but like the idea off a better exhaust to let it breath a bit better. Refurb the wheels tyre's and brakes. Look forward the next videos on this one!
Nice suggestions Luke 👌
I think that you should go oem mostly. Maybe straight pipe it and put a 3 inch pipe in the back for some nice exhaust sound. Maybe a new open air filter
I could see the glisten in your eye when you put it on the truck a couple of weeks ago 😂 me I'd keep it standard with maybe the exception of a decent exhaust and some detailing. Either way can't wait to see what you do, especially what the engine fault is (sounds fuel related to me) 👍🙂
Kev one of the best things for the interior that will make a massive difference will make of feel better and newer is to drop the headlining out and dye it black and any trim lime door pillars sun visors get them done black to. Will make the car feel a whole lot different inside. I recommend Autobrite black dye and Autobrite for any other cleaning stuff you need.
Nice mate, thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into headlining 👌
Would love to do this to mine.. need warmer weather!
I recon you should keep it as a plain jane tbh mate, belting little motor that!
Keep it absolutley bog standard for me Kev beautiful motor by the way I'm a huge ford fan myself
Kev : all it needs is a bit of tarting up, some body work upgrading, wheels need replacing with proper Ford wheels. No service history can be checked easy enough and once you are happy everything is tickety boo, get it in for an MOT and full service - then sell it on.
Strip it out
Set of bike carbs
Bucket seats
Half cage
Pbs pads
Go send it at castle Combe! 🤣🤣
Nice 👍👨🏻🏭
Go full max power mate could be fun
Get in there Kev :-) I even left a comment on said video about how can you show us this little ST and not save it ;-) You have done the right thing by the car & I am genuinely excited myself, can't wait to see the outcome. Just remember originality is the key with this one. You never know, maybe you will end up keeping it yourself as a weekend toy ;-) If you don't hit me up :-)
Standard all the way
Get a code reader on it and that should tell you what the non-starter issue is. Could be a crankshaft position sensor, coil pack or fuel issue. I’d do that before reaching for the valeting kit...
for the engine sounds like th coil pack has packed in mate .
Hi,I was looking forward to the clip as I have a diesel with 110k miles
Kev, please pass on my thanks to Trents for their superb service in the past few days, when I decided to pass my MOT failure Peugeot 207 over to them, thanks to your vlogs. It was all so easy, Ash, the driver who picked up was great, and the money was in my account in a few days.
Glad you had a pleasant experience with the service, I shall certainly pass on your thanks, cheers for the great feedback 👌
I would keep most of the car standard with a good clean, a gloss black grill some new gloss black BBS rims and some new tyres and some upgrades to brakes, springs and some engine improvements to get a little bit more power out the the engine.
We're on the same wavelength I think mate 👌
I knew it was going to be that st
Kev as Jeremy Clarkson once said speed and power solves mean this
First thing to do is bin those Chinese Ditch finders and get some proper tyres on there.
