Midori Green RSX! Rich's CRAZY BUILD!

- In today's video we took Rich's Midori Green RSX and the Honda S2000 for a nice cruise to the beach. Luckily the South Florida weather held up and we were able to film some amazing content with these two JDM collector's items. Huge shoutout to Rich for bringing out his beautiful Acura RSX Type-S build. This car is an icon in the import car community so it was a real honor to get an up-close-and-personal look at this meticulously thought out RSX build. This is honestly one of my favorite RSX builds so I'm glad i got the opportunity to share it with you guys!
Our first stop on our cruise with RSX and S2000 was Hollywood Beach in Ft. Lauderdale, where we got some great footage. However, due the large amount of people, we decided to hit downtown Ft. Lauderdale to get a better look at the RSX. We were able to get some tunnel runs in right after running into a beautiful white Nissan GTR(can you blame us?) Overall we had a great day filled with great weather and some beautiful cars!

P.S. I should also mention that although we recently got the opportunity to catch up and review this amazing build, Rich's RSX was painted Midori Green around 10 years ago making it in fact the World's First Midori Green RSX!! What an amazing build!

Most definitely, I love that in our culture there are so many different routes we can take in terms of how we build these cars. The possibilities are literally endless! Hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to link up with Rich once the turbo setup is all done!

Love the Rsx👍I too just picked up O5 Rsx type s for a project build for my 15 year old boy...he says once it go ktuned and turbocharged he’ll smoke my Evo x ass😅I told him we’ll see cuzz that’s a big dreams for him but who knows ...my Evo x is got its own big talk if you catch my drift 😅
Hahahahaha, Evo’s are some of my favorite cars! For years they’ve been forces to compete with. AWD and the ability to make some great power makes them super hard to compete with! Honestly I’d love to see that race when it happens! The K20z1 makes some great power as well once you go boost! I’d really love to see that race, that should definitely be a good one depending on how much power he’ll be making!
Evo's weight almost 400lbs heavier than an RSX, and boosted, RSX's are no joke. If you are making the same power the RSX wins. RSX has the better motor. Evo has a better trans.
@ The Evo X weighs in at around 3500 lbs while the RSX weighs in around 2700 lbs. So weight is definitely on the side of the RSX. However, it all comes down to driver and the type of race. An RSX that can’t put the power down will lose to an EVO all day from a dig especially when comparing cars with equal power. Roll racing on the other hand would more than likely have a different outcome.
What type of headlights are on the Rsx???

The main things I love about this build are the numerous stages it’s gone through! I remember he had a full track inspired Mugen setup before it was Midori and I’m sure once he boosts it, it’s gonna look different again! 🤣
"Build"? I dont know about that lol.. I wouldnt really call throwing rims, calipers and paint on a car a "build", but to each their own.. I do like the color a lot. A bit too obnoxious for me personally, but it is a beautiful color. If this guy does a real build tho and puts together a built motor and a turbo kit now that would be a build and would be SICK! But he'd have to ditch the stance boy shit if he does add power. He would just spin and tear axles all day with stretch wheels on a slammed RSX. His suspension would suffer as well if that car had significant power at that amount of drop.

Great memory! Chances are this is the same one lol, Rich's RSX was painted Midori Green around 2011, it's been featured on various sources and there's even a build thread on ClubRSX from back in the day! It's truly a remarkable car, first in the world and a super sick build!

Idk if anyone can answer me but. I be seeing some rsx's with like...two round shapes on the front headlights...Is that just a type of front bumper or is it a actual headlight with that style? I prefer that 1 and probably would get a rsx just for that look
The one with the circular shape is actually the headlight and bumper combo, those are the first gen RSX’s from years 02-04. Hope this helps! 💯

@@hakimdurand8427 For sure, one of the cool things about the 02-04 RSX Type-S, is that it comes equipped with a K20A2 which is one of the best engines Honda ever produced. It’s a great engine for swaps and also a great engine for boost.
@@Scubah Its really between the RSX or Accord LXS Coupe but I am still thinking more on the Accord...any issues the rsx is known for that you know?
@@hakimdurand8427 I can’t think of any issues in specific to the RSX. In my opinion they’re great cars and the Type S models seem to hold their value very well. If you can score on for a great price, there’s a possibility you wouldn’t even lose anything if you were to sell it!

Although we didn't disclose the exact date of when this car was painted while we chopped it up, Rich's RSX was painted Midori Green back in 2011. Although this build has been around for years, this was the first time in MANY years we got to chop it up. I finally got to see this amazing build in person. If you Google "Midori Green RSX" you'll see the archives from the various stages this car went through all while being painted Midori Green. There's also a build thread on ClubRSX showing the various stages of this build. Many RSX owners can also confirm that this RSX was the first Midori Green RSX in the world! It's truly an iconic build!

Is it Vivid Blue Pearl?! That's one of my favorite colors for the RSX! But there's a huge array of colors you could choose from, I think it'll look cool with any color you choose!

@@filthyrsx Why bro, why do people slam our cars!?!?! I just have to shake my damn head every time I see one... The RSX is one of the WORST cars to slam. Our suspension geometry is one of the worst for lowering and it does not take lowering well at all. Ive been in so many slammed RSX's and the ride quality and handling is just so bad. Its such a shame cuz these cars handle SOOO damn good if done right with a very slight drop and a good wheel setup.. I get its a fad and its about being cool but why people want to make their cars slower and ride like shit is beyond me. The RSX is a beautiful car as is. Everyone I know who has had a slammed RSX has had it maybe for a year tops and they move on quick. It gets old fast. If you keep it longer, you just a warrior putting up with that shit for the clout lol
@ honestly bro I couldn't care less about clout. I don't have an instagram or social media at all so "looking cool" for other people isn't something I even consider. I've had my slammed rsx for about 2 years now and Im so glad I did it because having a fast car isn't something I care about. As long as my build is something that I enjoy working on and admiring then Idgaf about speed or none of that bro. All love

It’s a factory Honda color that some of the Civic hatchbacks in 1996 were released with but not factory on the RSX 👍🏾

Adam West It’s painted Midori Green! It’s a factory Honda color from the golden era EK hatch! It looks even better in person, in the sunlight it really pops! 💯

They're Rays CE28's, I'm sorry I'm not sure of the specs on these, I do know that they are a really aggressive spec though. If you check out the MidoriBoyz page on IG you'll see more photos of Rich's RSX, hope this helps!

It was produced by Anointed Aero. They ran a limited supply of that prototype but they also make wide body flares for the DC5 as well! Check them out on IG to see more of their products ✊🏾

What year is the acura rsx from?
They were produced from 2002-2006! The 2005 and 2006 have the facelift that a lot of people love along with the K20Z1 instead of the K20A2 from the earlier models. Funny enough everyone loves the K20A2 as they say it’s easier to swap into other cars! Rich’s RSX is an 05-06! 🙏🏾

@ Good looking out, for the price point of the Megans, I’m really impressed with how they’ve performed so far. The spring rates are great for the street and I honestly have no complaints about them. They’re a huge improvement over my stock suspension however that may be attributed to the lower center of gravity and wider track as well. Once I begin to track the S2000 I’ll more than likely upgrade a lot of the suspension components. 🙏🏾

Rich’s RSX was painted Midori Green in 2010-2011. I apologize for the confusion, I think perception makes it seem as though Rich’s RSX just received the Midori Green treatment. It is in fact the World’s first Midori Green RSX. If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find archives dating back of this build through its various stages. There’s even a build thread on ClubRSX to help clarify. It’s been verified as the first since releasing it about 10 years ago but earlier this year we finally got the time to catch up and chop it up about his build. If there are 3 in your town then I’d say it really caught on! 🤣🤣🤣

Google “Midori Green RSX” and you’ll see time stamps dating back to 2011 of this exact car and the different stages it’s been through! There’s even a whole build thread on this car on ClubRSX also dating back. Many RSX enthusiasts can confirm that this is the world’s first Midori Green RSX. I understand the confusion considering the fact that we filmed this build almost 10 years after this car was painted! However, like many awesome builds out there, they go through stages. The one we captured was just one of many stages. There’s a huge possibility that the next time we see this car, there might be a whole new look although I believe it’ll always be Midori Green!
Scubah I looked it up on google and the rsx site and yes rich is the first. I remembered following somebody yearsss who who had a midori Rsx but you are right. I should have looked it up before commenting. I thought the guy I knew was first but I guess not.
