It was Natwest Series 2002, followed by Champions trophy for me. 2003 Final made us grow thick skin as fans, as will 2023 final will for younger fans today.
School time nostalgia...hiding a battery operated pocket radio, listening to commentary from hostel bathroom, cramped with 10 to 15 people.. I just came here to see those fans who have similar feelings like me for this special memorable series between our neighbours. I wish I could live those moments again in my life. That period was so amazing . We saw real cricket real entertainment . I was studying in school 4th standard at that time and this was when I started playing and watching cricket.
Fill my heart to see Kaif, Balaji and Yuvraj hug Ganguly in the ending minutes of this video. Shows the forgotten contribution of Ganguly to Indian cricket. ❤
YOU BEAUTY!!!!! As a 40-year old from the subcontinent, this was such a nostalgic video to watch. Great effort, looking forward to more videos, especially on the different cricket rivalries around the world
🇿🇦Can you please do a video of South African's readmission (1991-present) International Cricket? I'd appreciate it🙏🏾 yes a bit of rundown on a period before that would be appreciated so that viewers can understand
Thank you for giving the Pakistani context at the beginning which is often discarded when discussing this tour. We had number of legends retiring a year prior which gave a massive advantage to India before the series even began.
@@kashif2309I don't think so that the legendary Pakistani players would have changed the result in any way they would have affected it but all those players including Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and many other players were past their primes and a few of them were even present in 2003 World Cup but ended with the same result.
I exactly remembered the series while I was at class IX th standard in school. I was desperately preparing for my board exam but in between watched each and every match by painting the tri color flag in my forehead. This series also witnessed how great Sourav Ganguly changed the Indian team's attitude and playing style forever. Later on MS came as a skipper and carried the tradition. Jai Hind!
Man.. i loved it.. once again the narration was just perfect. Please do the test series too. that was a classic. Saw all these matches on TV... it was a fantastic series win for India.
I am once again asking you , where do you get the footage for these old matches , is there any website which contains the archives of most of these past matches, it has become increasingly harder nowadays to find extended highlights because the streaming platforms remove these once the rights expire
If Inji would be present on the crease surely he would have taken the match away from india as 293 was a very much chasable target on that pitch. Throughout the series all pitches were batting friendly. Even a score of 320-325+ was also not safe and the calculated way by which India chased down exactly same score of 293 on fourth odi with 5overs to spare, was a readymade example about the possible way to chase a target. So in this perspective and as per cricketing historical point of view I believe the catch which Sachin Tendulkar took on last odi to turn Inzamam dismissed is the 2nd most important and pivotal catch (after Kapil Dev's catch of Sir Viv Richards in 1983wcup final) in the history of the Indian cricket. That catch finally helped us a lot to win the only odi series in Pakistan's soil till date.
Your style of letting the story reveal itself and let it come alive in viewer's mind is something special. One suggestion if i may, would be to change the channel's name as I rememebered you but forgot the exact name. I thought it is sixandout, kept searching it but to no avail. I think you may consider rename it so that more viewers can find you easily.
Hey man one of the possible future subjects could be the indian resurgence after 2013 ipl fixing and dropping seniors by winning 2013 CT. Nonetheless i always love your content. Edit: very good and deep research
Ignore the comments saying "Where have you been?" You took your time and delivered a masterpiece, thank you.
Much appreciated!
This was the series that made an entire generation of Indians fall in love with the game

Cricket in the nineties and 00's had a good balance between class, fervour, and entertainment. Now only entertainment remains.
There was definitely something special about cricket from that era!
Agree. Today cricket appears to be woke, overfed and too commercial
@@nipra123i agree with the commercial part but how is it even remotely woke??

Both the teams had same no. of senior players with more than 50 odi experience

The way you capture emotion and the military mindset of the players, specially in an Indo-Pak contest is absolutely magical
Takes me back❤
i still remember..i was in school getting 4th class final exam results and teacher told me sehwag has hit a 50..go home quick !!! enjoy !!
what a gem of teacher

Ganguly guide the team very well Rahul contribution in this serious is also major reason for victory ❤
It was of Ganguly’s mainly in terms of leadership and field settings and Dravid made some valuable partnerships and supported the batting very well
