    A magic loop for knitting! Yay!

  • @debbygranberg2626
    @debbygranberg2626 Рік тому +2

    my first thought was to use a same size crochet hook for pulling through the loop and then transfer to knitting needles. Then I realized it really is a crochet magic loop.

    Best pinhole cast-on I have seen. Looks very similar to a single crochet magic loop, but the last yarn-over is only puled through 1 loop, leaving 2nd loop on the hook. Would be easy to do with a crochet hook and then moving loops to double pointed needles.

    Thank you so much for this. Every other time I’ve done the pinhole cast-on it was such an exercise in frustration. I’m doing the Musselburgh hat now. This is so much better!

    Thank you so much. You've made my day. I've got the pinhole cast on now thanks to your clear no-nonsense tutorial. I tried to knit a Musselburgh hat last year and had to abandon it because I couldn't do the cast on. Sorted now and already at the 'knit stockinette forever' stage.

    This is the best method ever! I like that the same needles are used rather than a crochet hook where the hook gets in the way as the stitches are transferred to the knitting needle.

    Even tho' I "PLOWED" my way through casting on my first Musseburgh Hat I was really reluctant to start another one because of the dreaded pinhole cast-on. Well lo and behold, I found your tutorial and I'm starting my second hat today. Thank-you so much. Ditto to every comment before me❤

    There are just some cast-on's that I don't frequently do and this is one. Only once have I done this and thankfully you've got this on vid. I don't like reading and following pictures though if that's all I had (the first and only time) I would and glad I don't! 😉
