Gotta tell ya, I'm completely cool spending 40$ on these indie games that are better than every AAA I've bought in years
Indie games are way better than AAA.
Say it louder for the AAA companies
"Indie". Moon Studios has over 80 employees. Nothing indie about that.
Indie for me at this point is not getting pegged by shareholders and making games simply to turn modest profits. Extracting wealth out of the lowest common denominator publicly traded companies are a cancer in gaming@@Chrisbajs

Not always.
Of the thousands of dudes, sitting in computer chairs, talking into a mic... You're one of my faves.
he is one of the dudes of all time
It's because he's so chill and actually talks about the game. So many other channels are just screaming and trying to be funny.
Force and TB are 2 of the best in their field.
Force just spits out facts and gameplay. To the point and focused. I wanna hear about the game. Not really opinions and other crazy stuff. He does this really well.
@@GRIMSVOLTWho is TB?
One thing you didn't really speak on but stands out to me, is the absolute banger animations. An excellent use of physics, smears, and weightiness combined with an outstanding art style bring an incredible amount of life to your character and enemies. This game looks outstanding.
I was about to make this comment
100%
@@vanquest5341I have almost made that comment. Almost.
My guess is because the visuals are something everyone can see for themselves, and he mostly wanted to discuss the things you'd only experience actually _playing_ the game.
Like backwards body-slamming that one guy - I was like wow. That was legit.
I have high hopes for this new IP. Moon Studios has yet to let us down, so I'm eager to see if their hard work pays off.
Also nice to see this is coming to PS5 unlike Ori.
@@robinwesterbeeke1498recently Xbox has started to port non console selling games to PS5 so who knows even Ori games may appear there too. Nonetheless if they launch on PS5 someday I swear I'll buy them again.
It's like the exact opposite of Blizzard 😂
jesus i can't wait for this one. The art direction and exploration alone sold me 10 times over
Ori is fire and you get the same level design there. Im so excited for this type of game coming from this studio. Ori is a literal masterpiece even to somebody who never really plays platformers.
This game pretty much proves cool stylized graphics are way more compelling than realism most studios are going for.
giving me Arcane vibes
It more or less proves that variety is a good thing, that we can have different art styles and they're all good
💯
I agree we need more stylized big hitters. But games that shoot for realism are good too. Variety in the market is key.
animations, physics and effects are the most important imo
Man seriously ori devs are just good at this craft, really looking forward to this
damn, this dude always plays everygame before its even out and always a hefty amounts of hours too
one of the youtubers i actually trust w his opinions
Thats what 1 milly can do for you
Perks of being a gaming UA-camr that does deep dives and reviews. There are hundreds of channels similar to his. Barely any of similar quality though.
Idk how he even has time to do anything he just put 50 hours into nightingale
Been following him since 2010. He deserves it.
You've become my favorite play tester outside of my main game. It's really nice to hear in-depth summaries about new things without too much beyond the facts. I don't feel like I'm watching an ad lol. Good on you for remaining impartial.
This game looks like a dream. V Rising is the PERFECT game in my opinion, but this game takes that and adds exploration, story, and Dark Souls? My wallet is ready
V Rising was one of the worst games I have played, I still don't know what it was trying to achieve with its shoddy building, weird timed progression and vampire mechanics.
But one day I would like to give it a re-try, because I hear so many good things about it. What is so good about it, and do you think the enjoyment comes mostly from playing Online and having the risk of being PvPed, or is it mostly to do with the PvE?
@@TheCooderix Most of your enjoyment is going to come from the addicting gameplay progression loop of: Hunt a V Blood (boss) - get distracted on the way exploring the world. Finally find and kill the V Blood (or die and return to get your loot from exploring / revenge) - then once you've killed the boss you return home to your base to build whatever the boss unlocked for you to progress your character. This loop can easily take an hour, and there's nearly 50 bosses at the time of writing. After you're done expanding your base, (and decorating it if you enjoy that). Then you head out to fight the next V Blood. Experimenting with the different Spells, Weapons and Jewels you unlock as you play will make the experience feel much more varied than I describe here. So I definitely recommend you check it out. Though perhaps it is worth waiting for the full release in a few months. Expect it around May or June.
You could PvP, but I'm not sure I recommend that on your first playthrough if you seek to maximize your enjoyment the first day or two you play.
Battlerite royale was perfect but instead of updating that the studio abandoned the game to copy paste all the fighting animations, sound effects and tons of vfx etc. into a vampire survival/pvp game. Happy for you that you enjoy the game but i will forever hate v rising
To each their own! Personally I find the most immersion in games that are open world and ones you can live in, so I like the castle building. But the thing I LOVE the most is the combat, skills, and abilities. Legit how many games can you say have combat similar to V Rising, Albion Online, Battlerite, League of Legends, Hades. Isometric games are great for that reason. I like that you have to kill bosses to acquire progression and new abilities. Feels so rewarding. Add PvP on to V Rising, just such a great game. But No Rest for the Wicked’s formula looks so good
This game looks amazing. I don't remember the last time I was truly excited for a game coming out.
That's just sad.
Dragons dogma 2 looks great too!
LOL
I remember! August 3, 2023.

I love your vids about games I never know about! When you do a review with the love you have for gaming it really comes through in your video! This makes me want to keep an eye out for this for sure! Great job again, keep up the good work! ;)
I literally love this in the games that exploring is so rewarding, checking every corner makes sense and there's always something hidden ,out of your sight at first glance.Amongs all open world/exploration games they did it great in Grim Dawn-hidden path were brilliant in there.Great video
Oh man, this is what the aRPG genre has desperately needed for a long time. A nice swift FromSoft-flavored kick in the ***. Modern aRPGs, even the best ones, have started to feel almost like twin-stick shooters where you endlessly "re-skin" your laser-guns. They're barely hanging on to the "role-playing" qualification by having shallow inventory/loot management, and sub-par to decent skill trees.
From what I can tell from the test-footage and Force's review, this has taken the RPG elements and the isometric view, put a little polish on them, and then kicked the click-spammy gameplay loop to the curb.
Just absolutely bloody brilliant.
See now this is the kind of content I like. An early look at a game I've never heard of but would probably enjoy playing!
Looks amazing so far! The art style is beautiful. I like to explore every nook and cranny so this should be right up my alley.
What you were saying about vertical space being almost more expansive than horizontal space is on point. I started playing this game in the Diablo mindset of the world having edges that you couldn't traverse. Learned very quickly that those limits weren't there. The level design and player freedom here are really exceptional.
Anything Moon Studios touches I'm playing. Ori is one of my favorite games of all time!

In the 25 minute game overview they said that the more rare an item is, the less you can customize it's attributes. So it's not exactly what you'd expect from an itemization perspective. Probably worth keeping onto a piece of gear you like and see how you can upgrade and customize it later on.
The art direction and level design of this game are amazing!
Just have to say, I’m so happy for you, man, that you’ve passed 1m subs. Carrying Total Biscuit’s legacy and I’m sure he’d be proud.
the one thing that gets me super hyped is actually having a chest behind the waterfall.
I have no doubts this is going to be awesome. The music and visuals of Ori stay with me up to this day. It's amazing.
I am looking forward to getting into this game. I am sold just on this little snippet of exploration. Well done.
The suplex on the guy at shore is all needed show me, I'm getting this game on release for sure!
Force, this looks like a banger. The intricate level design, beautiful animations and weighty combat are top notch. I am completely smitten with the art style, as well. Looking so forward to this one!
Been watching you since Diablo 3 release back in the days… Thanks for keeping up the good content ❤
Your videos are very relaxing and informative. I like that.
Wow, thanks! This is perfect. I can't wait now. I've searched for this game everywhere. Force Game, you're the best, man! Perfect timing, this is until June 21st.
lol I got shookt when u said "Welcome back" coz I was just watching your pervious video yesterday and woke up to a new vid. 🤣🤣
Sounds amazing. Have had this on my wishlist a while but much more excited now
I've been waiting and dreamt of a game like this for years. An action RPG that's skills based like Dark Souls, and has the exploration of a Metroidvania, plus sweet sweet loot. It's the true next evolution in action RPGs.
It's no longer just mouse click, click, click, basically "playing" on auto pilot, waiting for the next loot drop to make the little green arrow slightly go up .1 percent. While trying to avoid an epileptic seasure as thousands of brightly lit numbers are spamming from dozens of enemies all exploding on screen at the same time in colored number vomit. As has sadly been the case with most action RPGs over the last decade.
This game is going to change the action RPG genre and I love it. The exploration alone is incredible, add to that the skill based combat and the fact it's just changing the genre for the better and I think it's something special. All other action RPG games and companies need to take notes. This is how you evolve the genre.
The graphics really stand out to me, here. I don't usually like dark themes, however, those sparse but highly saturated colours really please my eyes! Very nice contrast.
Augmenting your dodge into a shoulder barge as a tank build sounds really interesting. Game looks and sounds gorgeous
This looks amazing! I hope it will be well optimized as I would love to have this on my Steam Deck to play on the go!
Super excited for this, I hope the map is truly expansive. I adored both of the Ori games but they tended to be a bit on the shorter side (will of the wisps was longer but still relatively short). If the rest of the game is even remotely of a similar quality to this introduction area, I want to just get absorbed into it for days and days.
I can’t wait for version 1.0 to come out, thank you for this in-depth look at the game, always appreciate your insight on new upcoming games 👍
Looks amazing, art work and character movement are mouth watering. Slightly initiative but got everything we love from the other ARPG'S.
Man Ori Art Direction is probably the best in the recent years and this one looks fire too.
This is giving me a mix between V Rising and Remnant and Im here for it.
Wishlisted this a couple of weeks ago. Looks cool.
the showcase and demo really impressed me. cant wait to get my hands on this
Looks pretty cool, but not sure how the random equipment will work since the map is static.
Very informative. Nice to see there is a reason to explore.
This sounds like an Adventure (action)RPG and from what you're showing/describing, this is looking good interesting.
The atmosphere looks incredible!
Those animations are on point.
Looks really good. I like the random loot. While it kind of fits the souls games to have the loot table mostly fixed, in a game like this it would increase replayability a ton for me.
This is one of my most anticipated games of the year. I really, really, REALLY hope it delivers. Looks promising thus far!
This game looks incredible can’t wait!
No Rest for the Wicked has quickly rocketed up my list of most anticipated upcoming games. It looks soooo good.
Moon does ut again... Ori was incredible, and this looks no different. Aninations are fluid and weighty, combat seems tight and punchy, the world environments and SFX look beautiful. Not to mention an interesting blend of games. Execution just seems superb in all areas.
You good sir deserve my sub
I saw a clip of this at the game awards I think.. looked really unique. Got this one wishlisted.
can you imagine a moba like this
their art style are always on point...so beautiful..
damn already the preview looks amazing!! wow, im almost hyped!
This actually looks like the game I've been waiting a long time for
Fingers crossed
this game really shows Moon Studios Level Design expertise!
You had me at "Souls like"
I’m more stoked for this than I am Dragons Dogma 2. Level of excitement after the livestream today has skyrocketed!
finally a good realistic review, nice stuff, thanks for it... surelly I will try this game, I'm a big fan of what they made with Ori series =)
Oh my... This looks fantastic! Can't wait to put my hands on it!
finally a top down ARPG with weighty looking good combat very interested to see more
Looks mad fun dude!
Nice you got over 1milli! Congrats bub
This looks so much better than I thought it would be. I really like noon studio, I really enjoyed the Ori series and I was a little skeptical of this game simply because they were presenting it as an ARPG. I love ARPGs but I know that it can be difficult to get them right, in this case though it seems like they're going towards a more deliberate game which is great. I really like the art style too, the graphics just look so interesting and that they're making use of their strong level design is really refreshing.
Thank you for another great video.
Dude the critical hits and stealth kills look brutal af. I'm loving everything I've seen from this game
Big questions is there going to be a demo getting released on steam and also is it going to be coop multiplayer
Holy shit this looks amazing. The posibilities of discovery in every area is gonna get me
Best Reviews and best upcoming games!
Looks great, I like the style
This game looks SICK! I'm hype for it now
ive been looking into this game and im sold.
This looks awesome! Can’t wait till we get our hands on it
Adventure game. Thanks for your details review and guide. Wow, a lot of exploration. Non linear is very interesting. You are so energetic engaging.
Soft class system of this game looks amazing. I already have some builds in my mind to test.
looks well designed .making exploration rewarding is a good sign
Well the devs certainly nailed the visuals. It looks great in artwork and design/animations.
The rainstorm looks amazing
Level design and visual effects look kinda stunning, damn
Very good video, thank you!
What’s up with the arm leg body proportions. There are more body types right
So many amazing games this year
Will it run on my steam deck? Seems like the exact type of game I'd want to play on Deck.
this looks super good, it's on my list now for sure
I am so hopeful for this game.
The moon devs made a landmark with Ori. It was a piece of art for sidescrollers.
As a big Elden Ring fan - I think this looks absolutely amazing.
Not going to lie...this is the one I've got my eyes on. It's like a mini version of Elden Ring. The fighting looks amazing, graphics unreal, and the sounds are spectacular. Can't wait for this.
Why not just play Elden ring? This is a huge downgrade to me.
@@Yor_gamma_ix_bae Different game style. Not everything can be Elden Ring...but to aspire to that greatness. Just the animations alone are fantastic.
I think comparing this to Elden Ring is an insult, to be completely fair. Elden Ring is an overrated, repetitive asset flip which reused enemies and animations from every one of their games, two of which are well over 10 years old. Anything original in Elden Ring was reused again, multiple times, including seemingly one-off bosses. And it was made on a AAA budget, with crunch.
This looks like something entirely new, with an actual narrative. And, like the devs said, is completely authored by hand, by artists - no old assets, animations, environments repeated ad nauseam. Perhaps From Software will see this and be compelled to do better.
@@LNTRNfly Ouch...seeing that it won numerous GotY's and is one of Steams all time best sellers and played games...I'd say most of us disagree with ya...and it's NOT an insult it's a badge of approval and support. This game looks great. Period.
@@robertbartholomew4473 - Oh, I don’t disagree that most people would disagree with me, but I’m also still right. Nothing I said is untrue. Elden Ring does all of the things I mentioned, and all of those things in any other game would be considered bloat. I’m just going to cross my fingers that From Software go back to making linear games, because open world games are not what they’re cracked up to be.
I'm so down for a game like by Moon Studios, hope they don't disappoint.
Makes me sad. Ori is one of my favorite games and this confirms that they no longer are pursuing it.
I really love the UI design.
I know I'm a month late, but I have a question I think can make or break this game for some people. How easy is it to respec your points? Because in Souls games you can hunt down specific weapons that match your stats, while this game has randomized ARPG loot. If, say, i spec into faith but get no faith weapons and only get something like STR or DEX weapons, how easily would it be for me to spec into those to use my newly acquired items?
I love the Souls games and I love ARPG's. This could turn out to be my dream game! Can't wait to try it out in April
Completely missed this game. Looks good!
How hard/punishing is the combat ? HP Regen ? Potions ? How often did you die ? Block/Parry windows ? Stagger mechanics ?
I love the concept. But I’m strictly a mouse and keyboard player. Some of those tiptoe movements across bridges seems tough on it. I wonder if you can pan the camera
hood on the headphones is diabolical
Love the art style. It reminds me of Dishonored, which is one of my favorites.
wow this is a great deep dive. i added it to my list
