Yea I have a feeling this album is going to blow Prequelle out of the water. Ngl I wasn't really into Sunshine the first time I listened to it...but then I kept listening and now I'm hooked!
It's actually Fredrik Åkesson from Opeth who plays on the album. Tobias has dropped the guitar for the first time. He just didn't have the time for it himself and also thinks that Fredrik is the way better of them so it's a win win situation.
this is so helpful,i just started playing guitar (im a bassist and i just bought my first electric guitar) and once i heard call me little sunshine i knew this HAD to be the first song im learning on the guitar.
@@NickPerezMusic i know right?ive originally wanted to learn panic attack by dream theatre so i could record a solo-cover of it since i also own a drum kit and know both the bassline and the drum parts, but figured it would be too hard for a first song to learn lol

Hey Joey, there’s video on my channel where I walk through my process on getting my tone for my Ghost covers all in the box. I use Bias Amp, but any amp sim with a plexi or orange style amp should do the job!
The only thing about using those 5th fret notes in place of the open strings like on the record is you dont get to hear it ring out under the note that comes next because you have to lift your finger.
Tips for getting good ghost tone? Im using marshall jcm 800 and a fantomen Hagström. Which pedals should i use? Reverb? Delay? Just an overall good ghost sound for most of their songs! Thanks and awesome video!!
That's a pretty good rig off the bat. In my experience with JCM 800s, you may have to use an overdrive in front to get that extra distortion from the amp. Add a touch of verb and delay and you should be in a pretty good spot! I think I read that Meloria was mostly Marshall amps (don't quote me on that tho lol).
13:49 - THAT PART KILLS ME HELP , I'm a rythm guitarist but anyways I can afford to play the rest of the solo, but that fast part stops me, do someone know some exercise or stuff to learn how to do that at that speed??? :) Also, awesome lessons, I just compared some songsterr tabs with this and this is hugely most accurate, at least for my ear
Glad you enjoyed the video! What I would do to get that lick is grab a metronome and slow the bpm down to a comfortable speed. Play the lick to that speed until you nail it ten times, then bump the bpm up by 10-20 depending on how comfortable you are with it. This method has helped me a ton in the past and hopefully it will help you as well!
Hey dude, I made a video on how to get the ghost tone a while back which I'll link below. This one is geared towards amp sims, but I'm working on one that uses real amps/pedals. So if that's more your speed stay tuned! How To Dial In A Ghost Guitar Tone: ua-cam.com/video/sm8nfb5ywR4/v-deo.html
@@NickPerezMusic thanks heaps man! Im currently doing captures using N.A.M because its amazing. so im sourcing hardware and doing captures for some of my favourite bands gear
You didn't miss it...I did! Hopefully I can explain this here but you want to play the 5th fret on the A and D strings and slide them up to the 7th fret to start. Then you wanna bar the 7th fret from the D string to the B string with your pointer finger. As you play this bar shape three times and add a few notes. Start by fretting the 10th fret on B with your pinky, then play the 8th fret on B with your middle, and finally just play the bar shape. Hope this helps you! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and happy playing!
The way you described it at 11:14 should have clued me in come to think of it, I mean you pretty much explained it right there yet you still took the time to respond. Thank you again, this lesson has been so insanely helpful to me.
@@carlhaggard3792 sorry just seeing this now dude! Yea I love my SG but tbh a lot of the recent Gibsons haven’t really been all that great imo, and the high end epiphones feel like more “solid” guitars. Having said that, I the only nice guitar I played at the Gibson garage when I went last year was an explorer, and had it not been for the cost to fly home with it (and ya know…the cost of the guitar) I would’ve bought it.

I think that the first note is D on 6, then open on 5, while tuned to D. If you listen, there’s a distinction

The first Part of the Intro reminds me to Metallica - Fixxxer😉
they start the song with 5 on the low E string and then open A. It's the same notes as double A in standard but yeah. You can hear it.

Fun fact: Call Me Little Sunshine is a reference to Alister Crowley because Mr. Cowley would refer to himself as Little Sunshine.
I thought it was referencing the german demon Mephistopheles
Incorrect. Lucifer literally means "morning star", or in other words, "little sunshine."

Honestly I’m not even sure it’s chorus. My ears hear a super compressed neck pickup with that glassy reverb 80s clean and an acoustic blended together
