Ghost is addicting. Never ever have I loved a band so much. Saw them in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. I'm 54 and took my 14 year old daughter. She loves them so much she couldn't stop crying.
The crying thing is an emotional release, it doesn't matter what it is, they're going to cry. Look up videos about giving kids puppies for xmas. It's not even them crying, it's their monkey brain. They aren't in control.
I was going to say that the 2 Goast songs that I've heard so far reminds me of Def Leppard. Literally only dicovered this band today, around 10 minutes ago. lol
My best friend passed away from an accident a couple hours after this song came out. He loved Ghost, and this song touches me so deeply. I feel this song was made for him. He was the sunshine in my life and brightened up the entire room. Rest In Peace Aron Quinn. My little sunshine
Man, that's rough... It's hard not to perhaps find comfort in the idea that he's around somewhere, with a gleam in his eye, as you're jamming to this song along with him. 🙂 Satan speed friend, and be well! May he rest in peace.
I have no words for how excited I am for this. After listening I have decided it reminds me a bit of "Never Land" by Sister's of Mercy... It's beautiful. It gives me the same feeling as Cirice!
My dad's favorite band was Ghost! He passed away in June of 2021 but I visit his grave often with Impera blaring thinking "You would love this album man"
Call me 'Little Sunshine' (A nickname for Aleister Crowley) Call me 'Mephistopheles' (A demon Faust sold his soul to in the legend) Promising to be a constant companion, Tobias refers to himself as 'Little Sunshine,' as the infamous British Occultist Crowley jokingly called himself. Then Tobias refers to himself as Mephistopheles, a demon who granted wishes in exchange for one's soul. Mephistopheles offers council, and was a complex, conflicted character who pleaded Faust not to sell his soul to him in the tale. The song describes its character as a companion, a demon, possibly a mage, and ultimately, the Devil. It's a haunting and catchy song, and the lyrics are classic tongue-in-cheek. Very on-brand for Ghost. I wouldn't expect anything less.

This song is phenomenal. The progression of this band over the years is rare to see. It has that familiar darkness mixed with melodic haunting tones and that power that makes a Ghost song. Well done gentlemen!
@@sumwunspeshal Tobias always wrote the vast majority of Ghost's music, and did most of the studio work, too. The only ghoul who did any serious songwriting was Martin Persner, aka Omega, who's now with Magna Carta Cartel. He testified on Tobias' side during that debacle of a lawsuit, and they're still pals, so I think it's fair to say that Ghost has always been Tobias' project. It's like in the 90's, when every NIN album said in the notes "Nine Inch Nails is Trent Reznor". We've known for a long time that offstage, Ghost is Tobias Forge.
I hear Ghost songs in my sleep. Every morning when I wake up I play the song I heard while sleeping. Today, it is this one. I will never walk-or sleep-alone.
One of the rare bands that is crossing generations. If we can get a second leg US tour, we can bring the youngin's to experience what we did in the 80's...their show is about as close as it gets these days. All the kids today totally missed out. Check out Dance Macabre, it's pretty irresistible.
Entire album is addicting. I’m 70 years old. I thank God there are are bands like this. I’ve listened to professionals all my life, and as they seemed to wither away; I find this and it brings back hope that music will continue on in this venue. Can’t say enuf about this song, or Ghost. Thank you.
The 2 guitarist calibrate very well together similar to the late gr8 Steve Clark and Phil Collin from Def Leppard, I love this '80's sound and Linkin Park and Breaking Benjamin are prolly the only thing close today!!
I am 56 years old ….. honestly I have never heard a group sound as good as these guys. I grew up with rock and heavy metal in the 70s and 80’s and this group is even better than many of those i grew up with!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can tell Tobias has taken vocal lessons during lockdown. Mix of head and chest voice is smoother and listen to that vibrato at the end of his phrases (especially @2:41). So good!
No he had a break from relentless touring , I seen him about 5 shows before the end of his last tour . It was a great show but I could tell his voice was tired . I have tickets for the bands 12th show so it should be great , right before they get burnt out lol . Volbeat is also a very good band can't wait !

You're fucking awesome! I bet you understand the imagery of the video as well! At 90 years old, you won't have to trudge on the ferry ride across the moat, anyvtime soon! Good for you!
Those subtle "pings" 👌 set into the song...the subtle background...and that wailing, yearning "CALL MEEEEEEE" when the ferry hits the dock and the way it drops off is pure emotional genius.
Thank freaking goodness we have Ghost, a modern band that understands how awesome artsy, creative videos like this are. Ghost is addicting. Never ever have I loved a band so much. Saw them in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. I'm 54 and took my 14 year old daughter. She loves them so much she couldn't stop crying.
My wife and I were there too. I’m 40 and she’s 39. The only part that sucked was the rain.
The crying thing is an emotional release, it doesn't matter what it is, they're going to cry. Look up videos about giving kids puppies for xmas. It's not even them crying, it's their monkey brain. They aren't in control.
I love how this combines a modern sound with a sound usually only achieved by 1980's hairbands. Ghost is an amazing band

I was going to say that the 2 Goast songs that I've heard so far reminds me of Def Leppard.
Literally only dicovered this band today, around 10 minutes ago. lol
I feel like 70's "wizard" doom metal would be more accurate.
My best friend passed away from an accident a couple hours after this song came out. He loved Ghost, and this song touches me so deeply. I feel this song was made for him. He was the sunshine in my life and brightened up the entire room. Rest In Peace Aron Quinn. My little sunshine
So sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Aron Quinn. :(
So sorry, Jordan.

Man, that's rough... It's hard not to perhaps find comfort in the idea that he's around somewhere, with a gleam in his eye, as you're jamming to this song along with him. 🙂 Satan speed friend, and be well! May he rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss, may you have peace and happiness to have known him till you meet again on the other side 🙏

Call me 'Little Sunshine' (A nickname for Aleister Crowley)
Call me 'Mephistopheles' (A demon Faust sold his soul to in the legend)
Promising to be a constant companion, Tobias refers to himself as 'Little Sunshine,' as the infamous British Occultist Crowley jokingly called himself.
@Harry64278 ghost makes it very clear that their music and performances contain satanic imagery.
@Harry64278 they aren't. This is all kind of tongue in cheek gentle mockery of the Catholic Church.
@Harry64278 🤣 quite apparent

Around 20 plays later I can confirm, it gets better each time. Should be adding a digit or two between now and when the album comes out.

@@swinetrek I mean to be fair, Tobias calls the shots, they just play.
To be fair "the band" ended on after Meliora album.
Now it's only Tobias writing all material solo.
I will never walk-or sleep-alone.

congrat to your excellent granddaughter. What a fantastic music taste of a young lady!
One of the rare bands that is crossing generations. If we can get a second leg US tour, we can bring the youngin's to experience what we did in the 80's...their show is about as close as it gets these days. All the kids today totally missed out. Check out Dance Macabre, it's pretty irresistible.

The 2 guitarist calibrate very well together similar to the late gr8 Steve Clark and Phil Collin from Def Leppard, I love this '80's sound and Linkin Park and Breaking Benjamin are prolly the only thing close today!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can tell Tobias has taken vocal lessons during lockdown. Mix of head and chest voice is smoother and listen to that vibrato at the end of his phrases (especially @2:41). So good!
Maybe without the stress of touring, he was able to rest.
I first noticed it during the Sympathy for the Devil cover with the Hellacopters that his voice had massively improved
...oooooohhhh yyyeeeeaaaaaa!!!
No he had a break from relentless touring , I seen him about 5 shows before the end of his last tour . It was a great show but I could tell his voice was tired . I have tickets for the bands 12th show so it should be great , right before they get burnt out lol . Volbeat is also a very good band can't wait !

It feels like you’re dreaming in a nightmare, but this is art. This should’ve been nominated for the VMAs at leastZ
It did win a Grammy, Josh. \m/
BUT,,, you are dreaming in a nightmare,,,
These guys are great. Drawing on decades of heavy metal tradition & keeping it fresh & alive, The musicianship & production are outstanding. The songwriting is clearly inspired.
Never listen to ghost before. This came up on the recommendations and wow this song is incredible and can't stop
listening to it.
Welcome
Welcome
Welcome to the club
Welcome brother
Same here my only other intro to Ghost was seeing the pop figures.
My father wanted to dance to this song with me at my wedding.....he never got to, he passed away 2 weeks ago. I got the lyric "you'll never walk alone" tattooed on me in his memory
Sorry for your lost 🙌🏻
So sad to hear this, I hope the song brings you happy memories of your Dad ❤
that's awesome, the tattoo RIP dad!!!
This is very sweet... and very heartbreaking ❤
Aww... I feel for you. And I hope people understand why some of us are so hard or difficult on family to stop with the inaction and appreciate the moment, do what we said we were going to do or what we've always wanted to do let's stop pushing things back but with that being said; a wedding is a little different with planning and Alignment so I am sorry to hear that it didn't Manifest but glad to know the Energy is kept alive through music and a tattoo.
- Exo The Drakon & Trauma Psychic-Medium ***yes Dad is a little regretful for not dancing with you to the song much sooner but all are at peace with how the Events unfolded and so Healing has long begun ... It is true that neither of you are walking alone and I guess that was always the Intention so all is well.***
Take what resonates 🪐🦎♑
First impression was like Hunters Moon, where I wasn't sure how I felt. Then it became a song I play almost daily. I can see this one going that way too. Excellent video and new album is looking great already.
Totally agree
Ditto
Same
Bro it’s been out for 3 hours, how you playing it daily?
@@bohdanbilous7346 I said this song is like Hunters Moon to me, where I wasn't sure at first, but now I listen to Hunters Moon daily pretty much. I feel this song will have the same affect is what I was saying.
FINALLY ,FINALLY,FINALLY A ROCK SONG THAT GIVES ME AN 80’s VIBE 💪🏿💪🏻💪
They no doubt put out an 80s metal vibe, not just this song either.
This. When I first heard this song I immediately thought this was a new song from an Iron Maiden-era band. Then google told me Forge is younger that me. That itself blew me away and my first thought was that there truly is hope for metal music in the future. And it's all from northern Europe.
And it's got that bass from back in the day.
Omg; this is just amazing, the song times, every part, the chorus, the lyrics, the rhythm, everything! That’s why we love ghost, you guys never disappoint us!
Hope to see you live in Mexico, best wishes, you’re the best! HAIL GHOST!🔥🤟🏽
Found this a while back and now I crumble the ground with this song. The sound system I have is about 20 thousand watts and it sounds amazing
It's interesting how the singles from the new album don't catch you from the first minutes as it was with the previous albums. It was only after listening to Hunter's Moon and this song a few times that I realized how great they are. I think this is another Tobias Forge's masterplan and i love it so far.
*P.S. I have a detailed analysis of the Ghost universe on my channel. English subtitles are available.*
exactly!!!
Hunter's Moon is unlikely to be on the album.
@@skepticalbadger it's on the album

Perfect riff, doomy guitars, unique melody... Ghost is one of the best and more underrated bands ever.
Underrated?
@@ElderDragonBrasil Yes, underrated. The videos shared of them on different platforms barely get any attention glad I'm here with their music now.
@@shortgirlbigcakes Pfft. That's completly bullshit! One thing Ghost isn't is underrated. They won a grammy, almost two, and almost everybody knows them. Underrated would be if they didn't get more than 100.000 views in a music video.
Nah, they are huge. By 2015 they got the attention they deserved.
@@ElderDragonBrasil You are right, plus they got all the recognizion from pairs like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Mikel Akerfeldt, Dave Grohl, and many more.
Ghost gets it. One of the few modern rock bands that I can support.
Hear, hear!

Gotta hear this !!!!!!
I really love this song and so do my neighbors! It's never too loud for Ghost!
So far out of the three songs released so far, this one hooked me from the beginning. I didn’t really know how to feel about “Hunter’s Moon” and “Twenties” at first but they grew on me.
Same, I like this one the best. I like Hunter's Moon almost as much; Twenties is still growing on me.
Twenties got me almost instantly, this one was honestly the one that's taken the most time but now I'm listening to it by itself so I guess it's good now.
Darkness at the Heart of My Love got me right away. Little Sunshine and Hunter's Moon are growing on me. Twenties is the weirdest song and one I am unsure of.
@@williamerickson520 I like the Darkness one, too.
Dude, stillways is my new daily listen. After like the tenth listen it’s just become a part of my soul
The bass line! The harmonies! The chord progression! 🙌
I really wasn't sold on Hunter's Moon, but this is literal perfection.
ITs a matter of taste for sure. I thought moon was waaay better.
@@Bruno-Guitarist No way
I am not an expert in music terminolgy, but for me it has the same effect as the Hunters Moon, this one. As well as the most of Ghosts' bangers.
It memorable and catcy AF, but it will get to you after a while. After the first listen you might be like "eeh. New from Gost, cool" but give it a week and youl'l know what you will be humming all day.
I don't know how Tobias does that. Of cource, there must be plenty of youtubers explaining used techniques in sophisticated music terms, but he might be sacrifising lambs for all we know :D
@@Professor_Vince For me, this one was reminiscent of Square Hammer in terms of catchiness.
@@Professor_Vince i listened to it one time (!) after waking up when it was released and already sang the chorus. After listening to it once. If that doesn't mean anything then I don't knoe
"You will never walk alone. You can always reach me" Man I love this line. Tobias is a damn genius 👏 .
New Football fans anthem I guess
@@fxbxtattoo ghost never disappoints
I am 66. I have been waiting all my life for this band - now I can die a happy gal 😅❤ !
There is something strangely addictive in Ghost's songs. To be honest, just like some of you, I wasn't that enthusiastic during the first listening. But, only 30 minutes later, here I am playing it over and over again. Same thing happened to me with "Hunter's moon"
It's intrusive pop. That's why you like it.
@@deathwishwave1492 is Black Sabbath Pop? Several of their tracks feature similar clean vocals and tempo, but they where literally pioneers of heavy metal as a genre
Because satan led you here
@@dankeaziz bruh
@@deathwishwave1492 Does it really matter? :) At the end of the day, I'm sure we all needed some good news in the midst of these awful times. I'm just so happy new material is out and band is about to start the tour. I have already bought my tickets for Vienna and I'm still hoping I'll see the Pope and Ghouls in Budapest too
Absolutely can’t wait for this new album. Best band that’s come out of rock/metal in years. Tobias Forge is a genius.
I’m not sure how heavy you listen too, but Gojira’s 2016 album magma is one you should listen to
@CreepingDeath wouldn't call the band it self metal, but they have metal songs
To even consider this metal is ridiculous, u can't claim to be metal just because of skull imagery it's no where near metal haven't heard a song by them that is metal , rock yes it metal no. Learn your generes
@@ROPEBURN who pissed you off lol, He never claimed this particular song was metal he said rock/metal band.
And as i commented above, i woulndøt concider the band "metal" but they defently have metal songs
