I know you took some stick but to be fair this was a good guide. To get the speaker working is confusing for modders (I messed it up twice , bought amps etc) but you explained that well. If only you had shown how to use the stock on off switch this would have been a complete video and one of the best guides.
Why would you cut the leads? Just unplug everything and you could sell all the pulled parts on eBay to make some of the money back you spent on the new system.
I think if I were able to get a cabinet like that for cheap, I'd probably cut a few extra hole and add 3 more buttons to the unit. Just so I could have the option for games like UMK3 and MVC2.

@@rayriley9102 yes it’s recommended to safely shut it down. this video was just to show the mod. One of our previous videos shows how to operate the arcade. From the main menu, press select and shut down. You would still need to flip the switch to power off the marquee and monitor.
My packman partycade only has 2 buttons on the right versus 3 in your video. Does this mean i will need to drill a whole to accomodate the third button for this conversion

Option 1 would be to drill a hole 1 1/8” forstner bit Option 2 just connect a wireless controller since this system has Bluetooth and you won’t have to drill Option 3 don’t drill at all. You’ll lose the search function but it’ll still work the same. You’ll have to scroll down to find most games. I think there’s only 1 game in the collection that uses 3 buttons so I don’t think it’s entirely necessary.

@@DaveMunsie very good question. The third button changes nothing except that you can’t search in the menu. You’d have to drill a 1 1/8” hole into the control deck. If you decide not to drill you can always use a Bluetooth controller to search for games since you won’t have that third button. The vast majority of these games use no more than 1 button, and in many cases, no buttons.
You will crash your crash your SD card if you shutdown the way you are doing it. Maybe not today but soon. Ask me how I know. You meed to put in a shutdown line and use pin 5

Don't but 1up crap. You can either build your own or buy one from the thousands of people building cabinets in the US using a pc or raspberry pi. They are much better made and easy to mod if you want. 1up cabinets are garbage, the system is crap.
