Two of these and two jp43 would look really good on the wall of my cargo van.
battery delete does that mean don’t run it in series with the under the hood battery? i have a mechman 370 alternator under the hood , do i just run a whole new power wire from the alt to the back & connect it to the jp40? & don’t run the stock battery to my car audio in the back ? also how do i check what volts my alt charges at? i have the Mechman 370 amp high output alternator for Dodge / Chrysler 3.6L / 300 / Challenger / Charger #11572370 . THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
I just commented on 'Part 1' but for the first question... she can try to replace the Big 3 (or 4) with stock wiring or OFC 4AWG. I'm assuming that she has done a Big 3 or 4 upgrade and if so that it was 0/1AWG OFC or bigger. If she installed the High-Output Alternator w/o/ the B3/4 upgrade, that's an impressive voltage. Resistance prior to the battery will reduce the voltage (not alternator amp output).
Cheaper isn't always better
Your tha man jp..onward and upward!
For the system pushing about 3000w rms, would you prefer the single JP40 or the LTO 6.0 paired with ultra cap? Also, does the JP40 needs to be charged before using or can it be used right out of the box? Will be running the stock alternator 160amp as well. Thanks!
it needs to be charged
If you arent going to delete your front battery, replace with litihium or supercaps or isolate the jp40 stick with the lto 6.0 and cap its the easiest install with factory everything else.
Thanks for clarification much appreciated!!!
Limitless also says not to go over 14.8 but I do anyways it's only at 15.3 when it's cold then after it warms up it's about right... what should we do to keep the voltage right or should we look at a different type of battery
I have this same issue
I been running it this way for about a year never had a voltage issue or battery issue, not saying it's ok to do it, just saying I've been doing it and haven't had a problem yet 🙏 I take it like a sub rating it will probably take a little more lol... it's only for about 20 min that it's at 15.3 once the engine bay warms up it's dead on 14.8.. I really like these JP40's I kinda wanna get rid of these limitless just to get some of these but if it's a little over voltage, how long will they last is my question. Limitless makes one that will take more voltage I just like these better
They make diodes to turn Up the voltage on a alt
my concern with lithium batteries is the risk of fires. how does this battery mitigate this? love your content
Great question
My question is regarding the integrated monitoring system. It appears in the first video that once you start to buss multiple JP40's together, that only the first one will have full access to the plug-in for the monitor. So, if you buss 2, 3, 4, or more of the JP40 together, does the monitoring display keep watch of all of the JP40's that are bussed together, or is it just monitoring the one in which it is plugged in to?
One display will work for how ever many
Was just wondering Could you still run a agm as a backup battery?
So the lithium is main battery but run an isolator that turns on when it's running to keep the backup battery charged but shuts off/disconnect when truck is off.
Just thinking incase the lithium died which isn't good but then I could disconnect it and run the agm.
@jp may I suggest considering making a marine grade battery and amp, I would love to see what you come up with…
Might be a stupid question but if I have a under the hood can I mix this one in the back ?
Don't mix the JP40 with an AGM or LeadAcid battery, as stated in the product description.
Will you be making a lithium battery similar to that that can withstand 15.5 maybe 16 volts in the near future?
Yin long luithm cells needs that high of charging you should get those
@@cuh_2023 I have 20 cells of yinlong for sale
@@TheKBshow I'm on a 12 volt system I can't use em I was gonna go head way cell anyways
@@cuh_2023 im usuing them on a 12 volt system as well! you just use banks of 5 cells instead of 6 so you can. charge them properly
C-max of the same size fully built will run right at the same cost as these, yinlong and the XS Power Titan8 would be close to that as well so id say its within the price range. Also no need to build a case with the jp as you will with the others.
I have 2 cab22’s a cab-m4 and a rp75.4 with big 3 done would a jp40 battery be enough to run it or would I need 2
One jp40 would be good
Nice.
Will the jp40 come in different colors?
Does this have a ca or cca rating?.
Could i wire my LTO 6.0 down4sound battery directly to my jp40? Or should I run a separate power wire from the alternator to the LTO 6.0?
Do the JP40’s have internal heat mechanism for use in colder climates, if not what would you recommend?
Curious about battery isolators and if that would make it safe to use an AGM under the hood if it was isolated? Being stranded without the ability to "jump start" my vehicle (because no AGM) is pretty terrifying for my daily drive to work vehicle...
You don’t have to actually take out your under the hood battery. Just take off the negative terminal. Maybe once a month or sooner disconnect the JP40 and hook up the under the hood again and let it charge up for awhile and then go back to the *delete*
What cells...
JP do you have a charger to charge the Jp40 battery or the high input alternator keep the JP40 battery chargered
14.8 V @ the alt or 14.8V @ the JP 40?
Alternator can not charge above 14.8
3:15 somebody is hungry
I herd that too
Hey JP can these batteries be use for solar system.
It says in the video description it's made for pulse charge use, meaning what you need is a steady slow charge/dissipation. So no.
Looking for some input got 2 b2 audio rampage 15s on a 350amp mechman alternator and about 1200watts of speakers do you advise go with 3 jp40 or simply go with titan8/xs power
Do they work with limitless lithium 12k
Good question. I have a 6K and was wondering the same thing.
Heyy JP,
Can I Use This Battery With A Inverter At Home For back Up Power ?
I Can Keep Them Charged Up Using 250A battery charger at Home
So are the both of those one battery
Can you use that battery with a standard battery if you use an isolator
Where's the best place to get my pos brand new wolfram Amp got back in 19 defective out the box and had it sitting in my closet for about 2 years before ever trying to use it
Do the bus bar have a 2/0 option
Can I run this battery with a red r yellow top lithium battery under the hood n this in the trunk
Can I run this off my car factory battery? Or have to delete my battery under the hood?
which lfepo4 cells are used in this battery
So I can run a jp40 without a factory battery and still run a 3.5k amp ?
How about in hybrid vehicles
Wish the buss bars came shorter for one jp40

I just bought the JP 40 and I have a durlast platinumagm battery under the hood can I use a diode
battery isolator to completely separate the batteries
I have a factory 150 amp alternator and I bought a
Victron Energy Argofet Battery Isolators 200-2AC
(2 Batteries 200 amp) to separate the battery will it
work I'm running a salt 3 k and a salt 200x4 and 1 15
ZV6 in a D4S custom box I'm running stinger 0
gauge wire and audison voco speaker component of
front coaxial and the rear stinger x series rca and aKENWOOD DMX957XR ) head unit
I would do the delete and just run the jp40. Do a ground and power run front to back if possible.I ha e 2 jp40 on a crescendo 8k @.5 and a crescendo s1 and s4 battery delete with zero issues
So I have 2/15 sundowns and a single mb series Memphis 12 if I were to build a custom box and throw the 12 in their with the 2 15s how would it sound with all 3 subs in the same box. is that possible I just don’t want it to be pointless or just know if it would sound good in general💯🤟🏻
They might have a different frequency response and it might sound weird.
Would this be enough for my Laramie limited 2014 ram 5.7 hemi as a stand-alone battery, I'm running 5k to a zvx 18 d1, the truck has factory air ride also. I need to know soon as I've already ordered the jp40 and will be here tomorrow. I want to delete agm in back and underhood. Will this work solo
Yes
@@THELIFEOFPRICE I said YOLO and FAFO at the same time and grabbed the jp63 too
@@jnichols3rdthank you!
You get what you pay for!
Big facts.
Will this push a sundown salt 8k @.5 ohm on 2 nv5 15” and a 320 high output alternator. Will 1 be enough.
Depends on setup. I have 2 of these on a crescendo 8k at .5 just got it set up to be honest I was shocked how good they work. I have a gp audio 320 alt I never go below 14.2. As far as 1 jp40 better off at 1 ohm
Could you use this for a solar set up ???
No
👍
Does the jp40 have to be fully charged before install?
Yes, with a low amp Lithium charger.
Also can a NOCO GENIUS be used to charge these b4 install? Has a charge lithium option
I just order 1 of these and have same charger did you ever get an answer
@@NickVaughn-en9bb never got a answer from them, but I tried it anyways and yes you can asking as it has a lithium setting.
@@jesusfavela3434 great I guess now we wait how long till you think I'll get it I'm in Florida
@@NickVaughn-en9bbI got 3 in parallel..for a 10k surge audio. Should take like a week .
@@jesusfavela3434 dam they say 1 will run a 10k but I'm just trying to run a jp43 so 5k rms sense I'll be at half ohm
I don't understand how the LTO 6 can work with a under the hood battery like a AGM but a JP40 won't because aren't they basically the same except the JP40 is larger. Could someone please help me with this because I'm about to pass on these?
The lto 6.0 is lto this jp 40 isn't it's life po4 it's bigger better cells
If you have an amplifier with 3 power and grounds what is the best way to ground it?
Best ground is to the battery or the thickest metal in the vehicle that's close by it.
@@MazdaBass971 I mean more like all in one spot, spread out on the metal, different body spots?
Buy a ground distribution block then wire straight to the chassis or directly to the battery
Which is better, this one or the limitless 12k?
I think they are very similar in power.
HOW MUCH IS IT? I HAVE A AUDIO APEX CAB 45, THREE JL AUDIO SLASH SERIES AMPS, AND A AUDIO ART 200MS. HOW MUCH?
1000
3:14 u hungry lol
Nice but the price is sky high
take off the back and show us the cells as well as what balancer ur using.....
