Would you be concerned about the charging voltage of that alternator, I know voltage fluctuates, and wouldn't want to damage these, JP40 & JP630 combo. Is there some kind of voltage regulator that would cap the voltage that you might recommend? Or should I be good to go? Thanks in advance.

It should be noted that this is a 5S configuration while everyone in car audio normally uses 6S. Anything above that 14.25v can cause the caps to immediately fail. You shouldn’t be at max voltage on caps all the time either. The cases look nice but I’d never put these in a car unless you’re charging UNDER 14v. You’re better off spending the money on an alternator and external regulator combo.
@@brian6029 no one uses 3s headway and calls it a 12v max battery. Those aren’t a comparison to this. Headway is safe to 14.6 max which is within normal range for most cars. 14.0 max is way too low a threshold.

@@62dobie You might be running those headway cells above 80% which requires a special constant voltage charger. If your only using an alternator I would charge at a slightly lower voltage to make sure they last a long time and don't overheat.

Don't you think that's enough lol

I competed with 8 banks in the 5 configuration ran them at 15 volts for years worked perfect I would clamp 10,400 watts out of a sundown 7500

If your using a lead acid battery or agm it should be compatible. Check its voltage output to make sure its not too high.
