I appreciate you.
Had a '69 Skylark I purchased in Checotah Oklahoma. Had a bad engine. Brother towed it to me where I lived in Nebraska. I had a wrecked four door '69 Skylark that had a great drive train. I made one good car out of both of them. Drove it for 8-9 years. Great car.
I love mine, ive got a buick problem, 5 of the 68-69 cars are at my place.
Also checotah is only about an hour and a half from me.
@@BrokenWrenches I currently have a 1970 Skylark 2dr hardtop. I've had two '69 Skylarks. I am very familiar with your project. The Buicks are a great buy for people who want a 1960s GM A-body.
You might want to consider putting a return-style fuel pump on your car since you already have a return line going to back to the tank. I think I heard you say you live in Oklahoma, so you probably get some pretty warm weather there, and the return line can help alleviate vapor lock issues that tend to occur on these cars when it's hot outside.
Thanks for the video and I really look forward to more on the '69 Skylark.
Thank you for following along and for the tips. Summertime does bring on major vapor lock problems here, especially with high performance engines and the overall poor quality of fuel the last couple years. Im actually putting out a new video on this car this Wednesday, kicking this project back into gear. Getting very close to having it back on the road for the first time since 1986. Stay tuned.
Great video. I will be changing the tank on my 69 Skylark soon and this is a real help
Me too! I’m nervous but I’ve done some work on my tractor so…. 😬

Hi from Australia.... Years ago I was changing a fuel tank in a VH Valiant Pacer and fuel got into my ear, never want to do that again.
Wow mate that sucks
My dad used to own 30 or 40 Valiants on a farm but his idiot cousin crushed them
But luckily my dad saved 2. But then he had to sell them because he had no job and my brother and I was little kids then about in 2006
Never got fuel in my ears !!! Everywhere else yes.
And whats a valient pacer ??? We had plymouth valients and amc pacers but ????
@@BrokenWrenches Look up Chrysler Valiant Hemi Pacer on Wikipedia.
I’ve been enjoying your videos. I do wish we got to see it run after all the work but we’ll see next time around. Hopefully the starter doesn’t give you an issues. Weird how that was chewed up, maybe it got loose in there somehow. Or maybe someone switched it and they just threw a used one in that was chewed up. New one lined up great so it’s hard telling. Looks like a lot floor rebuilding. But it’ll be sweet when done.
Im happy to report it starts very well now, and with the key. The old starter also caused the no voltage while cranking problems. Thats all in the next buick video i already recorded. I really appreciate you watching 👍
@@BrokenWrenches I enjoy watching the variety of things you seem to always be turning wrenches on. Cool she runs now.
Awesome video
