just awsome comment.
@@willhughes6205 i know right
Got to do pencil evade and endure drills. Everyone runs into the crazy kid with a weaponized pencil eventually
😂
Remember kids: The sound effects are important. They give you +10 to hit.
the noices make you sound faster so they scare your oppenet i take mma
Astra squad sounds like you take 1st grade there little buddy.
Actually I read a study on this and making those sounds releases more adrenaline per movement and therefore making each movement more powerful

so many people forget how important basics are
facts
Even a master needs practice the fundamentals because basically every other thing you learn draws back to the fundamentals
Keep making this beginners crash course. Make it a series bro!
You could teach basic fundamentals of MMA every episode

Welcome to Shane fazen's patented "I upload exactly what you've been thinking about"
3weeks for me
First week
3 months for me
I’m 30 and I finally beat up that 4th grader that’s been bullying me, thanks 😄
Is he in 5th grade now?
LMFAOOO
@@harrykeobounhom8356 He dident make it. RIP 4th grader
Nice but if you didn’t put him in a coma u didn’t do anything
All the playground bullies seem to have disappeared in adulthood. In prison or are cops now.
4:11 (in regards to the uppercut) "it's just to lift our opponents head up, then follow up with more punches"
Unless you're Francis Ngannou, it's used to lift your opponent's head OFF.
who are you rooting for in the Miocic vs Ngannou fight?
ScottyYaBoi Don't forget Mike Tyson.
ScottyYaBoi I'm here
Hooks are for ko
You are wrong there pal
Blessing from all the high school kids.
You are making high school rights more enjoyable
Hey the funny thing is I have been learning from this guy for like 6 months now, and I defended myself from a highschool bully that was probably trying to kill me ✋😃 and so let's just say his ego hurt and he made sure half the school watched him
for all of the people who is hesitating and thinking "I'm way past beginner level" you are very wrong! I'm an advanced fighter still I learned a lot watching this quick video! don't let your guard down and keep up the hard work, just because you pass a level doesn't mean you are done training that in this level or those basics!
bro can you add me somewhere need to ask you a ton of question
@@kartiknegi655 Lmao
Advanced fighter that learned a lot from a basics video?
@@TWolfyG there’s no harm in trying to perfect the basics in any type of skill project you are working on. Especially since there may be instances where someone needs to take a break or hiatus from something and needs to warm up again.
@@elnarwhal5677 he should’ve gave more context on what he learned I guess lol, because he probably knows all this but maybe saw more skilled technique or mechanics with this guy? I’m guessing he already knew about the basics but maybe just learned more about the form or something…
This is probably the best time for you to post a video like this.
You recently announced your gloves, you built your fan base fairly high, and you don't have dreads
Even tho it's a year after, I take offense to that, I have dreads, fam, u got a problem?
@@sanstheskeleton904 i think that was a just a joke... keep calm killer
Wargwarn about dreads? Any need? Or are you living in the past?
Can’t say anything now a days bunch of ponces you take offense over hair shut your mouth ya sausage 🤦♂️
me: *wants to learn to fight*
also me: *doesn't have the motivation or strength to get into a class*
brain: *ahem* "may I introduce you to the wonderful world that is UA-cam"
Motivation is half way to success. 40% work and 10% talent. Keep that in mind brother! Good luck !
Theses can help in a street fight
@@shikov111 discipline is within those 40% work, yeah I know.
You can't learn to fight without going to a class. This can help you a little but it's not gonna go a long way.
To repeat what Dug said You cannot learn to fight without going to a class. Get proper instruction. These videos are a handy guide and nothing else.
My 5 year old brother won't last a minute now
impressive but he will be 8 by now did you able to handle him steal
😂
😂
I like how he makes his own sound effects for his punches
It just helps you get the pressure into the punches, inhale and exhale is super important. If you dont make a sound when hitting you are limiting yourself because u need to spend energy on actively surpressing sounds
Watch ANY fighter, ufc, boxing, muay thai doesnt matter. Even on the highest levels. Its just something you need to get used to. My sounds are deeper and a tad longer but basically the same. Try it, it helps
He is breathing with each strike you dumb fuck. Dont comment if you dont know anything in the first place. Clown.
I always do that when I'm training
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:

00:53 🚶 Movement and footwork: Step with the foot in the direction you want to move, avoid crossing legs to maintain balance.
01:21 👊 Jab (1): Extend lead arm with quick corkscrew motion, protect chin with shoulder, swift retraction.
02:03 ✊ Cross (2): Rotate hips, pivot on rear foot, power generated from ground through hips and back to fist.
03:12 🥊 Hook (3): Rotate lead hip, turn knee and shoulder, maintain 90-degree bend in arm, keep elbow aligned with fist and shoulder.
04:08 🥊 Uppercut: Short-range punch, lift from hips, minimal drop, maintain opposite hand's guard.

This made me start my journey on the MMA path. Since I have 0 regular access to MMA gyms (due to living in bumfuck nowhere), I decided to get the main techniques down on my own. This video is what I'm basing my foundation on. Since I also seem to have 0 training equipment whatsoever (due to being more broke than a glass vase that fell off of mount everest), I will be trying to make my own and focus on shadowboxing in front of a big mirror.
Thank you for making this video. I have no doubt that this video made many others start their journey. Keep making these basics videos.
I’m in the same boat brother. Shadow boxing in my apartment hallway. Maybe we’ll meet someday ;)
In the same boat. What other videos are you using for reference?
Relatable😂
Same but I’ll buy a bob so I can actually practice my punch better, if you don’t have the money for buying one i suggest just finding a random dude named bob and get some smoke with him, works good too.
Train hard bro!
Hey Shane. I Know You Probably Don’t See This Video Much Anymore But I Learned From This Video And As I Am Now A Coach I’m Listening Back To This And Realize Everything You Taught Me I Almost Verbatim Teach Back Without Even Realizing I Was! Thank You So Much For The Awesome Insight For When I Needed This.
No mortal kombat punches?! Then how can i get my opponent through the roof?
Anyways good video shane.

Thank you for this. I'm an old lady that just came back from checking-out a MMA lesson and found it to be tons of fun. This will help me practice a bit before the second lesson so I look like I know what I'm doing - besides the old lady karate I already do. The forward kicks are just like "magheri" so at least I won't be a total noob. I subscribed and am looking forward to lesson 2! Ciao from Italy, L

Almost broke my mirror doing the last move 😂 amazing training and well explained. Thank you!!
Lol

He is.
Fuck you yoy
Hey those mortal kombat upper cuts lift opponents into the air😂
I’m thinking about starting to train MMA. I tried it today, and it was a lot of fun (it was 80% wrestling today but I learned a couple of small things about boxing, protecting yourself from punches and how to wrestle down a opponent).
Thank you for this video, helped out!
FightTips is the best channel for learning combat sports as a begginner
This is by far the best beginners MMA video on the internet period.
I've been wanting to start training mma for a while and not just boxing, and i can't go to any gym right now so I just like to workout at home and practice the basics, so this is super helpful! Great job as always!
If you didn’t do a video on it already I’d love to see one and I’m sure other people would as well. How to control your anger while fighting.
Shane the FAZEnitor
i am so happy to come across your videos. These are the best fight lessons I've seen so far. You're seriously helping me out a lot
Alyssa Theimer I hope you try to fight a dude cuz you think you're tough and he whoops your ass so you can get out of the delusion.
I like the way you move. It's the best demo I've seen. You execute everything very precisely.
it's great to remember the basics, specially after a long time trainnig for self defense only I've even forgot guard stance basics... (raising gard and getting in stance have actually got people killed at times, so I'm used to skipping that part). Nice info, thanks for the tips.
As a pendekar, regarding self defense :
1) Your hands should move and stay above your waist (not necessarily in an ostensive guard) at the very moment you identify someone moving toward you or talking to you. Hands don't go down until the risk of agression has dropped to zero.
2) You are supposed to "fall into stance" first move you do in a fight - you do not "take stance" before the fight. Stance is for balance and at no point in your life do you want to be on the ground facing multiple agressors.
3) Eyes (gouge), throat (punch), genitals (smash), nose (upward strike), shin (kick), toes (stomp). These are the highest stopping power, best strength to impact ratios. None of these require technic nor a specific stance. Your grandma can pick them in ten minutes and use them the day after.
@@oneoranota great points, thanks for the input... I didn't consider a 2 yo comments would get such a Poignant answer. Alertness and mental disposition was the missing link for me to formulate a proper point here... Just perceiving danger and acting upon it is very different than something escalating into conflict
So pumped to get started!
Tips are textbook🙌🏼
boxing, kick boxing, teakwando and mua thai... etc just everything that usefull from each martial art. I love MMA! and bruce for creating it!
I looked at your MMA split training program and realized I was not advanced enough for that. This is a much better place for me to start, thank you Shane.
Great work. I'm excited to see some takedowns and submissions soon so I can show it to my 11 year old son.
Great video for people just starting MMA well done Shane 👍👍👍
Please keep this going, Shane.
I've just started watching your videos, this series will help me a lot 👍💪
Step by step you always deliver. You're a legend thanks for this video champ.
Keep them coming.
this is bad ass. excellent work I'ma keep learning and learning always. west side San Anto Texas steppin through proud. gracias
may God continually bless you
Damn your on the west side makes sense that you're a fighter lol, btw I'm on the North side of SA Texas, next to north star mall if you know it
Loved it! Thanks for putting this up, imma go through the whole playlist not only watching it but also learning it.
First time i saw this vid, i never gave it much care. Now I’m super thankful ! One of my friends is in a bad situation and i need something to help train and prepare him .
im addicted to your videos. Keep doing such awesome videos! Gretes from Germany
cyberdarknes you didn't comment in German!! German is cooler than English 😂
Those basic strikes are probably more valuable and useful than say, a year of traditional martial arts forms. Learning some strikes for self defense shouldn't take forever and cost a fortune. Thanks and keep it up. Also some blocking and slipping might be good to add to a MMA basics video.
I'm going to start training my kids and these videos are really helpful. Thanks man! 🥋
First serious fighting video to start my journey. Thank you.
"put your dominant side leg back"
Me, an ambivert: *panik*
I mean that is a win cuz u can use both stances and switch then mid fight if needed
Hee hee
You guys are lucky, you can fight southpaw or orthodox
What matters is which arm is physically strongest. Put that one at the rear. It's good to confuse your opponent if you have a few seconds' advantage in a fight to briefly switch stance, land a few hard shots and return.
Perfect video for personal training clients - thank you as always for great content, Shane!
Constantly keeping it fresh and varied Shane, you are in a different league.impressive.
I’m 52 and have been practicing each of these punches for two years now. Old dog learning new tricks! And I LOVE having zone 5 cardio punching the hell out of my Bob!
Thanks for the tips to get me started!

Great video!
I mostly wanted to understand how kicks works as I have had pro Boxing classes when I was younger but I must say, I really like how you explained the different punch. I think it will help a lot of new fighters to understand the dynamics of weight transfer.
can you make a muay tai video fore beginner´s?
Almost everything about the striking here applies to Muay-Thai as well. Except that the stance in Thai is a little bit different. More weight on the back leg and a lot more mobile front leg.
Step 1. Kick a tree.
Step 2: repeat
Damn this guy is so awesome been watching so many vids lately honestly one of the most realistic and well explained tutorials/tips out there

Shane is agreat youtuber but not a great figther
Master Juan ive not seen him fight...but he seems to be a good teacher
might not be the best but hes certainly competent
Blank There are Videos where you see him "fighting". Just watch them
Blank HEEYYYY he missed the slap so what do you mean he shown all the basic punches
Hey Shane, quick question about the sprawl you demonstrated: I was a wrestler for a couple years in high school, and the way we were taught the sprawl was very similar, except for the feet. We were taught to put the tops of our feed on the mat, that way if they keep pushing, you slide, and they can't get the leverage to complete the take down. Is there a reason you're landing on the balls of your feet instead? I'm guessing it has to do with the differences between MMA and wrestling, but I wanted to be sure.
I'm starting MMA soon I'm so excited
Thank you man you are teaching sooo well really , really Thank you
dude, how accurate you punches are😂
you gonna break some bones
