Piers Morgan is 100% correct on this matter. It is not OK to stop the Tennessee proceedings for similar reasons to why it is not OK to stop the Federal proceedings on January 6th. That is, government is how we avoid physical force, so interrupting governmental proceedings cannot be tolerated since it tends to erode the norms that are keeping peace in society. The principle should be easily acknowledged in both instances. Now, the reasons behind the Tennessee protest are clearly more defensible than the wholly indefensible January 6, but neither justifies stopping a session of government.
Interesting that they don’t mention and asked to be heard & the speaker of the Tennessee would not give them the floor for their motion on gun reform. Terrible no one mentions this. That’s why they used a bull horn

From my outside perspective and from what I’ve watched/seen, the Tennessee Democratic legislators (not just the two young men) have been silenced by any means necessary by the the overwhelming Republican majority and their protest was likely out of pure frustration and to attempt to save the lives of other young people from this senseless violence. This doesn’t happen in any other developed countries for good reason!

Yes, Parliament is hardly decorous. But, they do take turns speaking, and when their time is elapsed, yield the floor. My understanding is, regardless of how just their cause, when these young men's time elapsed, they didn't yield the floor, so their mics were cut. And then they resorted to a bullhorn. Neither side behaved well. It is not quite as black and white, as others claim. Pun intended.

I think it's disingenuous to say, are you saying it's the same as January 6th, because you are accusing him of not even making an analogy, that's just a straight comparison if he's saying it's exactly like January 6th in scale and damage.

I have been very disappoited with Bill's show. If you put yourself out there as an expert commentary and yet zero research has been done. I could go to the local bar and hear the same, lame, uninformed BS.... opinion....
@@jamesjewell957
Bill has become a loudmouth know-it-all whose research is sometimes wrong or non-existent. He once cut off a guest who was speaking, with (I'm going to paraphrase) "you've done enough talking. It's my show, I get to do the talking".
I became an infrequent viewer after that.
Yes, lawmakers were fleeing the building because the mob took over the building, and in fact were FIGHTING police trying to get to the fleeing state reps. It's ok to admit being a total pos hypocrite that shouldn't have their opinion taken seriously or credibly by anyone going forward....just yeah, thats what happens as a consequence. Good luck with that lol
A typical biased partisan view. Jan.6th was wrong on a bigger scale, but this was wrong deserved punishment.
Exactly. I kept hoping someone would say that but maybe none of them had followed the details of the story that closely. Not contradicting Piers with the full truth only leads to more misinformation.
Piers would jump off a cliff to follow protocal; America was founded on protesting protocal. Love Ms Porter's wonderful American reaction!
Morgan is the Howard Cosell of television commentary.
I’m sure you’d feel that way if a bunch of conservatives did the exactly same thing in a left wing state house like Massachusetts. The entire media would make it the biggest story in America for weeks on end.
Hello are you doing?..
When did Melissa McCarthy become a politician?
bill maher: their microphone was cut off, and they were prepared
The GOP House in Nashville had been cutting their microphones off for a very long time!! Allowing No Debate. Only republicans were allowed to speak! Can you imagine that?
No democracy, no voice, no representation, and you’re elected to go represent your people.
One of the best shows so far this year. Ben McKenzie really told it like it is. Hats off to him.
More people need to dig into how crypto is not good at currency, or being an asset, or a security, for criminal use, or a good idea, etc. It is a popular get rich quick scheme though.
Then why have the last 3 administrations not outlawed it? They HAVE to go against ponzi schemes, no? Bitcoin has been around since 2009, and the only thing that’s happened is wider adoption by the market.
@@philosopher2king That's not an argument.
Especially that part when he called insurrectionists heroes 😂
@@philosopher2king mmmm ponzu schemes. 😋
The Justins weren't trying to stop a peaceful transfer of power based on nothing. Not even close to the same.
Does that make you feel good?
Piers Morgan will be forever known for sucking, not kissing, Trump’s butt. Jan 6, 2021 was an insurrection and comparable to nothing else in this country.
The Justin’s were black men who need to be put in their place by overseers. Gloria Johnson was just lucky enough that they couldn’t do the same to her, because these white men in the Tennessee legislature are traveling on the road to Fascism.
I'd imagine it feels good to tell the truth!
@@thandocezula9219 Based on nothing. LOL. leftist.
I think his analogy was good. The point of an analogy isn't to say the two things are the same, it's the underlying connection between the two. And analogies are most effective when you use an extreme more clear cut example to point out the connection to the original that isn't clear cut. I think it's disingenuous to say, are you saying it's the same as January 6th, because you are accusing him of not even making an analogy, that's just a straight comparison if he's saying it's exactly like January 6th in scale and damage. Comparing a coup in another country to January 6th, isn't an analogy. I would like to see actual gun reform and I think the punishment was extreme to kick out elected officials, but I agree with Pierce Morgan.
Plz god dont let these ppl have absolute power.
The royal family? I agree.

They keep saying they're on CNN, but I don't see the logo anywhere.
I thought we finally got rid of Piers Morgan? Why is he back?
The UK sent him back. They didn't want him either. We need to send him to North Korea.
I'm in UK. We don't want him here.
@@keithgriffiths9864 how about sending him to that island off the coast of J Dia or Sri Lanka where they don't particularly like visitors. I think it's called the North Sentilese Island, or something like that. You can find it by googling the island where they've killed every missionary that showed up for all of recorded human history.
It's who you know in the business .That's why.
He's friends with Bill. Bill also had him on the podcast Club Random
Couldn’t be more impressed with Ben. Ordering the book.
He's sus😂
@@anthonymusto3537 Would love to have seen a counterpoint guest. Not insinuating he's all wet, but it seems he was put on because he was going to say all the things Bill wanted to hear.
