- Parenting a child with intellectual disability can feel overwhelming at times. But it can also be wonderfully rewarding. Leading IDD expert Dr. Ambrose shares his top 5 tips for parenting a child with intellectual disability.

Dr. Adrian Jacques H Ambrose, MD, MPH, FAPA is currently the Medical Director of the Psychiatry Faculty Practice Organization at Columbia University. Integrating business development with clinical medicine, he also previously served as a subspecialist consultant in operations management and design thinking for industry through the Mass General Brigham Connected Health. For almost a decade, Dr Ambrose has also served as private consultant in user engagement, market entry, diversity/equity/inclusion (DEI) program development, wellness promotion, and burnout prevention for Mid-to-Large Size Companies, and executives and management leaders.
Clinically, Dr. Ambrose specializes in treatment resistant mood disorders for both the adult and child & adolescent populations. In interventional neurotherapeutic psychiatry, Dr. Ambrose also provides procedures in esketamine, ketamine, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
Dr. Ambrose completed his medical trainings at Dartmouth and MGH, public health training at the National Center for Primary Center, and value-based healthcare training at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice. He completed the Commonwealth Minority Health Policy Fellowship at Harvard Medical School and has a Master’s in Healthcare Management and Public Policy from Harvard University.

People does not connect with us for help our child rehelibilitaion
Wish i could meet with my daughters school :/ they refuse to accept her disabilities thry just call her lazy and told me they dont have to accept her disabilities either they have refused all help for her shes bullied and hit by the same girl every single day that child is never told off
Then u better go in there and rage war don’t let ur daughter get bullied and do nothing!!
Can these kids be retained in school ?
My daughter has been held back in kindergarten and is required every school year to attend summer school to advance to the next grade. Majority of her summer she’s sitting in a classroom just to be able to attend school. I wish she didn’t have to.

Don’t get involved with or procreate with people with Cluster B personality disorders. Even if they aren’t diagnosed, if they exhibit high toxic or narcissistic traits, that’s a good enough reason to leave despite any history uou may have. PD’s are highly hereditary. ADHDers often date people with BPD.
Why do disabled people have to exist? They’re so difficult and time consuming. And I should know because I have a sister with a disability and it can be a real nightmare sometimes.
