Typical acoustick guitar bridge issue

- A fairly common problem with acoustic guitars of this type.
The bridge is an essential component of the guitar that holds the strings in place and transfers their vibrations to the soundboard. Over time, the bridge can become loose or damaged, affecting the guitar's playability and tone. In this video, I show the repair process, which involves removing the bridge, cleaning and prepping the guitar top, cleaning the bridge and installing it on its palce.
In the second part, I show the process of fret leveling. It is a crucial part of guitar maintenance, as it ensures that the frets are level and even, allowing for accurate intonation and a smooth playing experience. Over time, the frets can become uneven due to wear and tear or changes in temperature and humidity - Розваги
I love the sound design of your videos. It's like guitar workshop ASMR. Good job!
That fret sanding block is RUTHLESS though 😬
I find that there is so much crap in the world nowadays that I don't watch anything except for music and work videos such as this , you are a special person to have this gift , wonderful job on this Acoustic !
Fabulous work and such skills! Its a pleasure to watch someone who takes pride and care in their job.
Nicely done as ever :)
Thank you :)
You are a true craftsman. Your attention to detail is 2nd to none. I don't know how you have the balls to place a chisel on a finished surface and scrap glue like that. Well done! I wish you all the success you deserve.
Learn so much from your videos. They are a joy to watch and easy to observe and understand. Thank you and please continue to make them.
Just found your channel. Nice work. I love your fine attention to detail.
Thank you :)
U could enter that Fender acoustic in a Beauty contest now
I really do enjoy the calm and peacefulness of your shop and videos.... Reallo soothing. MInd you, I sometimes find myself holding my breath in more delicate parts of your super workmanship. Thanks a lot for sharing your work and experience..............Peace and Courage to all Ukrainians. -dan
Wow! Those frets ate MIRRORS!🤯👍🏻
The fretboard looked really gorgeous at the end. If you have time, it might be fun to show us around your workshop, with all the interesting tools on the wall.
Stay safe over there, and 👋
Nice work. Thorough and very consistent.
Your talent and meticulous passion for the fretboard is stunning! Thx for the post.
I fixed a friends guitar with a lifting bridge a while ago, but luthery is just my hobby. Cheap guitar, bridge was factory glued onto polyurethane top coat, hence the lift. I used similar methods and this video verifies I did it the right way. Still, my repair left a 1mm gap surrounding the bridge showing the repair work because I don't have your exacting skills. Again, cheap guitar and also a free repair. Ugly but functional and the bridge is now anchored. I'm pleased with how I clamped it without long reach clamps: a top block and bottom block sandwiching the bridge and the soundboard with screws through the bridge pin holes, then wedges fixing the wings of the bridge till the glue squeezed out.
the sound of the luthier's work is very good it calms me down a lot
I could watch your videos all day. I get the ASMR vibe. Plus, I love your artistic fingernails!
You are better than most in the USA
i love your work because you dont spend the time talkig you teach.very good job tanya .
i really like seeing this stuff. i grew up running around guitar shops with my dad, so this kind of brings me back
Thank you, those are great memories!
Another nice video, appreciate your commentary in the subtitles. Peeling that glue with the chisel looks very satisfying!
Thank you! This is my favorite part of the job :)
I really don't know how i got here....but this video helps me alot with what i want to do with my guitar.... excelent work you did!👍
Hey that's clever with the card scraper to check the nut slots !
Awesome job, looks great.
✌️❤️😁
I have learned so much with your videos...
Gracias :)
Excellent work 🎉
Thank you :)
Those frets look great at the end - awesome video!!!
Thank you 🫶
Beautiful work!!
Thank you :)
Cool work !
I love watching your videos.
Patience, knowledge,skill, determination .
your videos are therapeutic
Great job, Tanya ❤
Thank you 😊
You’re amazing!!!
What are you spraying on the back of the bridge before you glue it, is it just water, what does it do?
I just posted a benchtop video on Tuesday. I'd love to hear what you think.
... Also, that trick where you used the fret rocker to check the nut slot height... I'm stealing that.
I don't understand what's happening. AFAIK the tops of the frets should be lower than the bottom of the fret slot, but then ...
Chisels are scary at times. I try to pay attention and take my time.
What sandpaper do you use to finish the frets? I'm always following the videos directly from Brazil, incredible work congratulations
I keep forgetting to say you do really fine work. Glad i found this channel. Oh and Slava Ukraini
Hello , have been watching a few of your fantastic videos and have a question for ya.. Which crowning tool are you using and approximately how many necks can this tool be used before it wears out? Thanks...
Good job. Thank you
Nice clean work.
How difficult was it to scribe through the chippy polyester finish around the bridge edge?
You did a great job of preparing the surface.
Thank you :) Not too hard if you know what you're doing :)
another great job.
Good job 🖤
Exellent job
You got some CRAZY nails there, girl!😃
Love her attention to detail. What made you get started doing this?
Perfect!
Cold bridge removal. Very cool
You're amazing, girl! Keep Going!
Thank you!
@@TanyaShpachuk waiting more videos from you!
Is that a Fender CD-60? A repair job like that here would cost nearly as much as a new one probably. But great video and work!
Hi !!! what are u spray before putting glue? water? why?! thanks 💪💪💪
Your videos are beautiful and your work is even better, congrats!
Hope you're safe in Ukraine ♡
Thank you!
Love your videos Tanya! What are you use to fine polish the frets? @12:40
Hard felt wheels and green dialux compound :)
Yes this shoddy manufacture bridge fitting is rife in the industry.
Yes it is a time consuming skilled job to remove soundboard lacquer to the full extent of the bridge.
Yes a precise and complete fit of the bridge base is critical to a long lasting fit.
Guitarists thank their stars that the are patient luthier to fix shortcuts.
Great work. What liquid, or liquids, are you spraying on the fretboard at 12:05 and 13:00? Is it just soapy water or something else? Thanks for your videos
Thanks it's Dunlop 01 :)
Thanks Tanya
Excelentes videos Tanya!!! Sigue asi☺👍
Thank you :)
@ 1:00 : HELP, someone call for help. Tanya is trapped inside the guitar!!!!! 🤣😁✌🖖
ahaha :)
Great video. Why the heat gun at 2::45?
I can't get over the blisters on her nails 😵💫
Absolute crap factory work here. Did this same job on a friend's 15 yo Ibanez a few months back. I didn't have to do much to the bridge, it was near enough off, but half an inch of polyurehtane with the bridge glued on top. Really hard stuff to clean off. You have a bit more gear and a surer hand than me, but mine worked.
Great work on a guitar that doesn't deserve it.
I can tell from your hand movements and from the way you hold the toold that you've done this many times before.
I'm really curious about what kind of superglue you are using for the frets that you are able to apply it directing to the fret board and still clean it off? What is that ?
Stalahoy she use some kind of oil/and or wax applied to the Fretboard so the superglue can't bond with the wood .
@@powertothebauer296 I am trying to replicate this and not getting the same results. I am using a bees wax based paste wax and I think the one she uses is petroleum based. But what is the fast drying liquid she applies right before using the fine chisel to remove the super glue? That's what I'm really curious about.
@@stalahoy Alcohol or Acetone
Awesome videos, very relaxing :-) Can I send my electric guitar to you so that she can get your full service?
Good job. Fender logos on 3x3 headstock will never look right to me 😄
1:00 👋
what if the wood above the bridge is broken u.u
Relax...😊😊
Cutting the strings at full tension is so satisfying haha
Dares to go where other luthiers fear to tread ;)
👍

8:17 What kind of glue is? thank you
💛💙👍👍👍
serious head tingles
What glue do you use on the frets?
🎉❤
1:00 helloooo
was the repair more than the guitar value?
👍❤🤟
As soon as the bridge was removed, I camed and started farding.
See a doctor (psychiatrist).
Damn my guitar is doing this
What's the strap for?
To hold the guitar firmly, to the work surface.

might i recommend heat applied to the bridge to melt the glue before you start your wasting a lot of your time there
I doubt that bridge was actually loose enough to warrant re-glueing. The "loose" area was just what was over the finish where it was never really glued in the first place.
You have no understanding or reason why the owner wants this done, yet here you are, being ignorant of the whole process.
@@danduntz2539 The owner "wants this done" because he/she was TOLD it needs to be done. I am not at all ignorant of this process.
