A bit of care for this Gibson
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 кві 2023
- In this video you will see another simple Gibson Les Paul maintenance. In which I level the frets, slightly correct the unsuccessful paintjob of the headstock, replace the mechanics, the nut and make a general setup of the instrument.

There some typical YT scam activities, beware. If you got similar messages this is definitely not me. I do not provide any giveaways or somenthin that kinda stuff.
I’m just curious do you mainly fix guitars or do you play for fun as well and are these your guitars you fix or other people guitars.
Tanya which fret crowning file are you using here . Is that the FG diamond ?
Looks like a nice tool I’m curious.
You may do well posting affiliate links for some of the luthier tools you use .
Thanks for the vids
@JoeyChopstixx Yes it is a fg diamond dagger, but it was out of stock when I check last time. Also their action gauge is a must have))
@@TanyaShpachuk Thank you, that is an impressive looking file for sure
I received a scammer saying it was you.
Another great video! I love when you comment/describe what you are doing, and why. Please continue doing that! It’s also nice that you take us up close to the fine work when filming. Am glad I still have a lot of your videos left to enjoy…
Thank you for caring about these old instruments, they bring joy.
I wish I could do half the stuff you do in your videos. Your fret work looks outstanding. Inspires me to do more than just my normal setups. Keep it up!
Thank you!
Excellent work, again! I'd love to hear you play the guitars after you work on them! Anyone else?!
On some of her videos there are cc explanations. Just click the cc notification. I personally prefer the lack of talking but having her comments via text is also nice. To each their own. I
You make complete art out of your craft with these videos ! Nice work and nice editing, I marvel at your talent ! 🎸✌🏼😉🍻🙏🏼
Nothing beats the look of mirror polished frets 😍
How would i get them to that polished state?
@@Paul-rt4ix after sanding them with high grit sandpaper, you polish them with polishing compound. It's a paste that you rub into a polishing pad and then rub the surface with the pad. It's best to use a power tool to speed up the process. A dremel with a polishing pad attachment is what Tanya is using in this video.
@@user26344 Thank you 😉
Your channel is everything I’ve been searching for! They’re so soothing and well done! Thank you for all the amazing content!
Great job, Tanya! You made that look easy 😊
Your videos are always so pleasant to watch.
Привіт! I love watching guitar restoration videos and I just found your channel today. I hope you are safe, happy, and healthy. 🎸
Fabulous work, Tanya! Loved that you went for the new nut rather than fill with superglue and bone dust! ❤
Thank you! CA is a great quick fix, but I always prefer new nut :)
Your job is very accurate and precise you are very good you put passion in the things you do compliments 👌👍
Well and truly brought that geetar back to life! Nicely done :)
Seeing how you did the headstock particuly usefull as i have a bit of a rough spot on my les paul that could use that treatment.
Excellent work as always, some proper skill right there :)
Another great video . Very relaxing watching you work.
I enjoy these videos. Your work is meticulous. Very good. Very very good.
Fantastic to see a young person working on guitars!❤
Glad I stumbled onto these videos, fun to watch! Nice work!
It looks simple, but it's very precise. I'm enjoying it!
I'm sure the owner will be quite pleased!! Bravo!!
Thanks for letting us look over your shoulder! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Wonderful work, cant stop to watch your videos
i´ve been building and repaired guitars for almost 30 years and what you did here is spot on, great job... :D Thanks
merry Christmas! Beautiful job. Thank you for sharing.
You are a magician.I wish you were in my country.
Excellent work, Tanya. It's obvious you take great care in your work and the results are fabulous.
Thank you! :)
Guitar Doctor 🎸🩹💉🩺
I’d love to have such a good guitar tech close to where I live. Thank you very much for the videos!
I could watch you work for hours 😊
Fantastic job again
I liked your refret video! Very cool! keep up the great work!
Nice work as always. I love graph tech nuts for L.P. style guitars. You and my wife share the Tanya name. She is actually "Tatyana", born in Siberia and moved to Yerevan Armenia as a teenager. Then to America and we met and married in 2007. She does industrial sewing, I repair and rebuild guitars/build acoustic after retiring as a carpenter. Thank you so much for ALL the wonderful videos you have made.
The world would be a better place if everybody was a Luthier. 👍
Very nice channel! Wish You all the best! Cheers from Poland! 😉
You make that look incredibly easy. Looks awsome
Thank you :)
love your channel, nice work on the guitars !
You are great. Keep doing what you do. It’s a lost art. So nice to see someone doing this work. Great stuff!
Thank you :)
More and more luthiers appearing you’ll find
Lovely craftwork, enjoyed this process, subbed! 👏🏻🎸💫
Thanks!!
So relaxing video to whatch.
I started using that same wax cuz I saw you using it . . so far I like, however I dab a hair bit of lemon or rosewood oil on top of it for more sheen . . works TY
Your people need music; I’m glad you are there for them -
PERFECT JOB...Thank you!
Great work, really good.
Great job
From beginning to end you make sure it is done right and set up right. I appreciate the care you give to your work. Honestly I don’t have the attention span to watch videos on UA-cam from beginning to end but I do yours. I even look at all your background stuff. Hugs for great job Tanya !!!
Если бы была возможность, я бы без всяких сомнений принёс свой Gibson Les Paul именно этому мастеру! Выше всяких похвал! Удачи и процветания!
Its weird , I am a luthier and still enjoy watching luthier videos. Even after working on guitars the whole day.
Truly a perfect job...
Great work, pretty guitar.
I love a Les Paul. That one looked barely played.
EDIT: I have a 78 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe (Black Beauty) That I am getting restored now as we speak, and this is great to watch.
Hello from Canada,,,,, you know iam going to watch the next video,,,,, teach me well,,,,, have a great day
Great work!☑️
you take good care
If u can play the guitar after u finish the job…that will be perfect 🎉
No need this is like ASMR just the way it is your doing just fine keep it up I fall asleep watching these I'm a drummer but I love guitars!
Yeah, please don’t start playing the guitars at the end. There are thousands of guitar playing videos on UA-cam. Yours are unique. Showing your skills without talking or music and just the sounds of your labor is what makes these videos so enjoyable.
I agree there's too many critics. Critics is a nice word.
@@jonathanramsey8582😊
I was thinking the same. Although I get why some would only want the asmr part of the video. Maybe a video of just playing before and after would be nice.
I am amusing you had a very good teacher. Either he or she can be very proud of you! I particularly like the way you just eye things up without the use of fancy tools. You have proved it’s not rocket science! Love your work!
I'm Brazilian, o love your job
Sweet little wrench for that pickup switch nut.
Real confident and effective
What a good job you did. We need you here in New Zealand!
Good morning beautiful your work is wonderful
Шикарна робота! Молодчинка! 👍🏻
Josss tenan, detail banget
Loved the video, only I really wanted to hear it at the end.
Ones up on a time long long ago i oned a Gibson studio in pelham blue 2012.It was a nice guitar
Good job
@14:35…I have never seen anyone check nut slot depth like that…it’s brilliant…well done👍
Thank you!
I would have used baking soda and superglue to build up the slot. No kidding.
Previous was graphtech too , and I found that with time soda and ca not really likes to bond with this material
Thank you for shearing this video.. please do a detailed video.
My pre bed watch, saved and ready.
Fantastic ❤️.!!
Good work T. I thought for sure you would shred a little Slash, next time🤪🤘
MASTERFUL
Nice to see the return to a lighter tuning machine set.
This will be a solution to neck dive and easily broken headstock.
Nice work.
Very cool, I know you were doing it by eye but what's your optimal spacing when your checking 1st fret clearance with with straight laying on the nut and the 2nd fret.
First, really enjoy your videos. I am learning a lot! Question...what are you looking for when your gauging the nut height? What your doing seems more accurate than how I was taught?
Love it, the opposite of the so called aging and relic jobs.
Totally agree with you. people wouldn't buy a new car and then kick in the panels and break a window just to give it more mojo. So why do it to a guitar? It doesn't make sense to me.
Wow that's so delicated
Really curious where I can get those sanding pads you used for the fret polishing! Also what grits (and how many grits) are you using? I’m just a amateur but I love your work!
Ah the wonders of using the proper tools
I do the fret level recrown and polish and setu in my neck jigg for 60 pound
I used to have a Gibson Flying V and it came with those plastic head Kluson (?) tuners, and they were awful. If I'd kept it, I'd have put some proper tuning machines on it, for sure. That thing looked fabulous once you got through with it!
TLC is exactly what Dr. Tanya ordered! Beautiful job! Which bridge did you use on this great Les Paul?
you won't believe it but seeing you make repairs, it relaxes me
It's like your Indiana Jones of guitars... uncovering the guitars mysterious history, by restoration. Done done done daaa ....done done done! 🎸
There's no reason to tap the frets in with the dead blow hammer if they are not loose. The blow could actually loosen the fret. You do a few things without reason, and that's not necessary.
Great job .. what size fret wire do I use on Gibson Les Paul ? Any help and information is much appreciated.
Well done, I do work on guitars as well just not for a living though.
I mulled through a few of these comments and had to laugh a bit thinking to myself if half these comments would even be there if you were a guy lol!
Regardless, nice refinishing job on this LP 🤙
Bravo
Good work, I would love to hear you giving step by step instructions, and what materials are being used...😊
Come al solito video superlativo, coda usi per pulire la tastiera inizialmente ?? grazie
Do you edit the videos yourself or does someone else do it, such a great job?!
greetings from indonesia
nice
Please talk to us about what your gonna do with . Would love to hear your voice
What is the tool that you use to measure nut height? Seems like a great way to know where you are at without feeler gauges, etc...
that off centre treble - rhythm switch cap though
Great vid! I love how you stopped to paint your nails at the end haha! Good work
Thank you!
What was that fret crowning tool you used? I have never seen one like that.
Great Job Young Lady
Хороша робота! Мирного життя!
Sure wish you were my luthier, you do outstanding work. ❤
Just keep doing what your doing. Don't pay any attention to the neg comments. Your dang good. !
Thank you!
Well done. My LP would need a level recrown too, just a bit far away. What's a bit strange about this guitar is, the body is brown, but the back headstock is red?
Someone did refinish, actualy not a great job(
