I thought you might like a look at this very slick 1949 Cadillac Convertible. This truly is a beautiful automobile and it has been correctly restored in every way. Under the hood, you'll still find the original, numbers matching, 331 V8 that is kicking out around 160 HP. The paint is slick, the chrome looks like new, and the interior is really well-maintained. This car is ready for some cruising. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look!

Those years, of Quality.
I can now appreciate why my aunt and uncle had one back when. Yes, a beautiful car it is.
Just the best looking Cadillac ever , and one of the best looking cars of all time...
Derrick Rees -the 49 was perhaps the first truly "postwar " Cadillacs . It came with all the goodies and they always worked. But for some reason the 49 stands out..
This is a fantastic 49 Caddie!!!
A 49 Cadillac was my parents car back in the 1950’s/early 60’s. I grew up from age 6 to 16 with that car. It was a tank! Over 4,000 lbs, maybe 1/4 of that weight in chrome (LOL).
As a kid, I loved to stump new friends by asking them to find the gas cap!

THIS IS A SUPER RARE & CLEAN MACHINE
Thanks for the look see. Great car, Gateway.
What a beauty! Looks and sounds fantastic
Thanks for taking a look!
Another great vid! I enjoy how you changed up the beginning by showing parts of the car.
Even if it would not be a convertible - an awesome car! And you have a great job - to do this kind of work :-)
Came across one of those in a junk yard when I was about 11 or 12 years old. I fell in love with this car at that time. I wanted to take it home.
Beautiful classic 😊
It is a Pretty looking Caddy
Thanks for taking a look!
Absolute stunner, must have spent a fortune on chrome alone..I didn't notice any pitting where you normally see on the Marzak fittings like the hood ornament and the instrument surround.
Beautiful is the right word
+justjazzieful Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
+RamblinAround very kool
OMG!! My very first car, other then the color, its exact, even sounds the same...I was 16, back in 1960, and my dad sold cars, took one of these in on a trade and thought it would be a good heavy car for me to start driving with. It was!!
Damn, bet you wished you had kept it.
Cadillac liked that tailfin so much they used practically the same design from 1948 all the way to 1956, except for the 1955 and 1956 Eldorado. After that they had to become even more flamboyant to keep up with Chrysler Corp's "Forward Look".
dlwatib Cadillac never had to keep up with anyone least of all Chrysler. Cadillac was/is the ‘standard of the world’ First with electric starter motor even the fins you mentioned were a Cadillac first.
Wow 😊 That's such a lovely car. It looks....tasty!!!🎉
You'd think that thing was a Rx-7 with the motor that far set back. beautiful machine!
Great looking 60+ year old car :)
Pretty!!thanks for sharing this one :0)
Back when Cadillac had its real quality. Not today's heaps.
I appreciate it has its original engine. I hate when someone drops a small block Chevy in a classic car like this.
What a great wedding car that would be. :)
Que auto tan hermoso yo tuve uno igualito a este ...El mejor auto que jamas halla conducido

Classic Cadillac's definitely are cool. Thanks for taking a look!

Wonderful car! Does anybody know for how much this was sold? 🤔
Nice and electric windows in the forties I didnt think they had that then.
I wondered the same thing.
They were hydraulic, as was the top and seat. If you look at the firewall, you can see the pump and reservoir.
OK ! I'll take it ! ... Just send it on over, TYVM.

Everyone wants a Ferrari when they win the lottery but not me
It looks like a Cadillac.
Trunk........?
🇹🇷🌹❤️🔥🦋
Weren't Cadillac engines GREEN back in 1949?...Not blue.
What’s the ask?
I'd like to work with that company, I crash test cars
Im on the fence about what to do with my father's 1949 Cadillac Coupe Deville series 62. Restoration then selling it is one option but might take too long. I would keep it if I could afford to restore it and convert to a convertible but people freak out when I mention doing that. It is my car and there is no point in owning something I don't enjoy and drive. The mob enforcer Johnny Stompanato bought this new in 1949 for his girlfriend Lana Turner. After he was stabbed 14 times by Lana Turner's daughter they moved the car to Idaho where Lana was born and my grandfather Elmer Keith bought it. It has been in my family since 1958 but right now it just sits out front of my house, and I'm not a mechanic.
