What a car ! My dad drove one from Texas to Wisconsin without a problem . He was an auto mechanic and pulled the pistons out and did a ring and valve job on it .I never forgave him for selling it.
According to the 1956 Cadillac brochure, the rear mounted a/c was available on convertibles with the unit being in the top well. I've never seen a cvt with this, not even in a photo. Has anyone else watching this?
a work of ART it is. Back when a new car WAS a work of art. It really shows in the caddy's and Lincolns around 58-59 for sure. those Dagmar bumpers are a thing of beauty, put there for JUST that purpose, because they were beautiful. Price is a bit high though at 85K..... there's a 4 door Fleetwood convertible in Miami; completely, and i mean, down to the door locks restored, in apple red with a black top and they're asking 70 grand for it. It has only 13K original miles on it too. not even broken in and its a 63 year old car. i think it still for sale too. they dont last long though when listed under 80K no sir.

Those pointy things on the bumper are called Dagmar’s . Named after a well endowed actress of the same name.
