Autocannon is a normal as far as I know, it means a auto gun in any huge caliber. Basicaly my favorite type of gun, most mordern aa are auto cannons
Specifically equal or greater than 20mm that is automatic. Gatling guns also are included in this category
@@thatothersanecustodian8034 yup
Don't forget IFVs as well. Not quite the same as tanks but heavy users of the autocannon.
Edit: just to put more weight behind, the Australian army calls it's 30mm guns for their new upcoming IFVs autocannons.
Yeah I was gonna say… what do you call everything from 20 to 50 mm?
Goddam it ofcurse you're also here
as far as I know, autocannons are literally anything that fires ammunition designed for cannons (anything bigger than 12.7mm basically) fully automatically. I'm not a military expert though so I could definitely be wrong lol
Yes. 12.7 mm is the divider between bullet and granade callibre.
For USA. In Czech Republic 14.5 mm still counts as machinegun. It goes from country to country.
Wikipedia says 20mm for what that's worth, but effectively agrees: an autocannon is a mech- or tank-sized machine gun, even if the setting itself doesn't have mechs.
Basicallly anything that could conceivably fire HE rounds, even if it's normally using solid-penetrator AP, is considered a cannon. Anything below that is a machinegun.
It really depends on deffinitions, but I agree
"You shouldn't have a favourite insurgency"
My man's never heard about the Vietnam war (certainly has but still)

I'm surprised Porsch waited this long before making SUVs. The amount of rich idiots in the world implies its an incredibly smart business decision.
This long? You say that like they started making them last year or something. The Porsche Cayenne was launched 20 years ago in 2002...
@@JustLiesNOR Should have said *that* long. My bad.
Luxury car brands have been making SUVs for quite some time, the most notable being Lamborghini in the 80s with the LM002. The reason is because you can fit bigger engines, and more cabin luxury than a regular sedan shape, and in case of sportscars brands they have the technology to handle exceptionally well, maybe the Lamborghini Urus doesn't quite handle like an Aventador, but still miles ahead like a Toyota like Paul said.
Maybe it's because, specially in America, the SUV has become the most dominant body style and people tend to notice/consider them more often, but luxury SUVs have existed for quite a long time.
Also, SUV means "Sport Utility Vehicle", and for example, Toyota tends more towards the U and Lamborghini/Porsche towards the S aspect of the acronym.
@@jgllanesv I'm going to be honest... I'm normally pro-massive trivia comments, but most of that went completely over my head.
I''m incompatible with cars and don't even drive...
And tbh, I think the toyota is likely to spend far less time in maintenance or warranty repairs than the luxury SUVs...

6:00 very true. I live in Poland. My brother knows a dude who’s a streamer. He gets only around 50 viewers per stream on average, and it’s enough for him to earn over twice the minimum wage. Like, enough for a very secure middle class lifestyle.
Not really secure. This is one of the jobs that can make you wealthy, if not rich, but hardly ever lasts for a lifetime... I know this from athletes and singers, they often get used to a lifestyle they can't afford once their career is over and that often ends badly. Plus, what do you write in your CV once your streamer career fails you? If you have been a decade out of education, or any business you apply for, you'll have a very hard time getting back in...
@edi "content creator" or "influencer" are the go to buzzwords to describe this "job" as far as I know, so just put that I guess?
@@dude2299 that's only marginally better than writing unemployed. LOL
@Robert Kaevur Yes, but I've never seen a good example for it. If they only saved a few grand every month and invested it in stocks (going with the market using basic averaging techniques to reduce risk), they could live off the savings, or perhaps even the interest after a decade of investment.
Recently, I heard that a V-tuber used her income to pay off her parents' mortgage!
So, they could clearly make it happen, but even in good intentions, they usually squander it.
Plus, making money fast is often more a curse than anything else.
Personally, I knew a local celebrity from Latin America. She was a child star coming from a poor family. Her parents had control over her income and it was more than both of them earned together! They moved to a better quarter, bought a nice home, and lived in comfort, but left their daughter not a dime for her future!
Even worse, her parents started to squabble
over her money and it cumulated in her dad driving the car into a concrete pillar on the highway, while the entire family was on board!
She survived and ran off to Europe. Another person, I've talked to got rich writing a book and suddenly he couldn't do anything on his own anymore. He had to schedule everything with his security specialists and they decided if it was a good time and where he was able to eat in a frigging restaurant and he got still robbed... Soon afterward he went broke (wife left him, legal disputes, etc.) and he was pretty much a one-hit-wonder. Being broke made him free again in some way, though my experience with being broke was a different one...

Autocannon is actually a very common way in real life to describe a cannon (20mm caliber or larger) that have atleast around 100 shells per minute it fires.
Also, Zeros that the japanese used in ww2 were not torpedo bombers, they were fighters. You were most likely thinking of the B5N Kate.
Then again same difference as they were widely used as kamikazes
@@SP-sy5nq Way different. The fact that Kamikazes would use Zeros doesn't make the Zero a bomber.
@@jonathangrafton4016 only the first generation of kamikazes used zeros. later generation used variants purpose built for kamikaze attacks
and i'm not sure the 100rpm is the true determining factor as some autocanon fire more realistically 60-80RPM (76mm otobreda french and japanese 100mm naval gun although these push a bit the definition of autocanons)
Well at the end of the day you still want the plane attacking you to wave off just from the deterrence. I would imagine a kamikaze pilot might change to an easier target if it meant he could actually hit it.
A cannon is 15mm or larger
There is an actual definition for 'autocannon'. It's just one of those more 'formal' things that your typical operators of said weapon aren't going to refer to it as. They'll likely just call it a cannon or a gun.
If it's I think, 20mm or more (not sure on exactly where the line is between 'cannon' and 'firearm') and it isn't fired in single shots (as in the mechanism can handle semi or fully automatic fire) then it's an autocannon. Autocannon is literally just meaning 'automatic cannon'. Something like a jet fighter, have what is known as a rotary autocannon, where there is a descriptor added to the device to distinguish it from normal autocannons. Those are typically ranging 20-25mm, very rarely hitting 30mm.
I don't think I've ever heard of anything bigger than 76mm being classed as an autocannon, with even that size of gun mostly only being seen in naval situations. Ground vehicles tend to cap out at an absolute maximum of 57mm for an autocannon, due to weight and size concerns (and supplying ammo as well). Most the time you are in the 20-30mm range for autocannons, with them being supported by some form of ATGM or something.
What's in the video looks like a BMP of some kind, so the autocannon would likely be a 30mm.
from wikipedia: An autocannon, automatic cannon or machine cannon is a fully automatic gun that is capable of rapid-firing large-caliber (20 mm/0.79 in or more) armour-piercing, explosive or incendiary shells, as opposed to the smaller-caliber kinetic projectiles (bullets) fired by a machine gun.
I do wonder then. Does the Swedish Bandkanon 1 count as an autocannon? It's a 155mm self-propelled artillery, and can dump its 14-15 round magazine in about 45 seconds.
@@pirig-gal Not every automatic gun is an autocannon, and we also need to draw the distinction between an automatic loading mechanism and an autoloader. One cycles as the cannon fires, allowing for smooth rapid operation, the other loads a new shell between each shot.
@@SethAbercromby That's a weak differentiation, though I understand the basis for it.
@@pirig-gal Both can have their advantages. Autocannons function essentially like an oversized belt-fed machine gun. On the other hand most modern artillery is designed to be capable of MRSI, but that requires at least two different levels of propellant charges for the shells. An autoloader can use the on-board computer to quickly and intelligently select the correct propellant after each round has been fired.
Suppressors still absolutely do their job with supersonic ammunition. It muffles the sound of the gunshot. Just because the sonic crack of the bullet breaking the sound barrier is still loud, it's still not anywhere near as loud as a full on gunshot. Suppressed 5.56 with supersonic ammo a little quieter than an unsuppressed 9mm, which is a HUGE difference and your ears will thank you for it. Not to mention, it's a lot harder to figure out where a shot came from if all you heard was the bullet go over your head and not the gunshot itself.
If you want "hollywood quiet" yes you need subsonic ammo. But hollywood quiet isn't all that useful if the enemy has a harder time figuring out where the shot came from either way.
Also reduces muzzle flash by a lot if I'm not mistaken?
@@JustLiesNOR Yes. With a lot of good suppressors it's unlikely your enemy will be able to see the muzzle flash unless the bullet was meant for them.
@@carbon8ed and in that case, the bullet itself hides most of that flash, for a fraction of a second before it hits the observers forehead
Also, you can make (usually pistol) ammo subsonic with fairly good punch by increasing bullet weight. Doesn't do much for ballistics, but it'll have the same kinetic impact.
Correct me if I'm wrong but won't using supersonic ammo damage the suppressor?
If a drone can circle a target that long I imagine it’s also pretty unnerving if whoever it’s watching manages to spot it.
That's assuming you can actually spot the fucker before your hit with a missile
The real question is that even if someone manages to spot the drone, can they actually do anything about it? SAMs are pretty expensive for the average illegal insurgency and HMGs don't really have the range nor the target acquisition capability to shoot something flying at 5km or higher in the sky.

From a quick google (so take with a grain of salt) an autocannon is an automatic weapon which fires large caliber (20mm or greater) explosive, incendiary or armour piercing shells. One key factor seems to be that they function essentially like a machine gun for large caliber, rather than like a cannon as you would find on a tank/artillery normally. It also seems to be typically accepted that they are single barrel unless otherwise stated, and multi-barrel setups would be specified as rotary autocannons.
And externally powered autocannons are sub categorised as chainguns with rotary cannons beeing a sub category of the latter
@@SonsOfLorgar Ah, nice, didn't know that, thanks!

I'll add to why drones are so good for overhead recon is that they're surprisingly stealthy just by their size. It's damn hard to spot them from the sky, particularly if you're already focused some other task. And the sound they make gets easily masked over by your own vehicles.

P.S: Let's also clarify that its only you and seven or eight soldiers with basically the typical stuff soldiers lead in a Squad(?) which, let's say, were given equipment for a long-term 50 day stay at an Observational Post. Water, food, and general supplies. And it's also on their day heading out and waiting for the next Squad(?) to come in for it -- and the squad coming out disappears upon being "transported."
FYI, I'm not sure if Squad(s) of 7-8 soldiers have their own vehicle(s), so if you could say anything about that that'd make my story more accurate & such which would make me extremely happy!
Actually, the primary benefit of suppressing firearms in the military context is NOT to make the weapon totally silent, it's to almost totally eliminate flash and the bang from the rifle itself. Without the 'bang' at the source location, pinpointing the exact bearing of a sniper for example is virtually impossible if all you have to go off of is a sudden loud snap by your head. There are many weapons systems designed from the outset to be used suppressed with supersonic ammunition, notable examples are the M110 SASS and the Mark 12 SPR. A lot of the weapons you see designed to be virtually movie quiet are things like the manual action Berettas you see in some Air Force survival kits (these are specifically issued with subsonic rounds), or the Mk 23 offensive handgun (chambered in .45 ACP which is subsonic in the standard military loading). Most of those weapons are for extremely niche uses, like eliminating enemy sentries from about 50 yards away, or some other niche use case within that very short range. With changes in firearms and suppressor technology you can push that envelope out to a couple hundred yards with weapons like the Honey Badger by Q or some other equivalent chambered in .300 blackout. Arguably the Russians were a bit ahead on that front with the various integrally suppressed 9x39mm weapons they developed, but those weapons are capable of very similar exploits.
Escobar's "plata o plomo" is very similar to Porfirio Diaz's "pan o palo" meaning "bread or the stick".
He went from combat veteran to relationship veteran in like 10 seconds. Cool
So with the suppressors with supersonic ammo; The Marines have been issuing suppressors to the standard infantry for a while now even though they are still using the regular M855A1 ammo. It's to help with battlefield communication among other things, like being able to hear eachother better in the middle of a firefight
Cyanide is able to date Gorty because women like men who have a good sense of humor.
Gorty is able to tolerate Cyanide because she also has a good sense of humor.
That's generally how I perceive their relationship to work.
Watching these reactions of Antistasi, I can see how the "starter kit" of an insurgency or terrorist organisation is basically the same as organised crime. Like with Mafia in Italy (I'm italian) it's a lot more about having support from the population, though violence AND kindness at the same time (like Escobar did) and psychology with law enforcement and the government than brute force.
There was a period from the '80s into the '90s when Mafia was really put under pressure by the special anti-mafia police. And that was the moment of peak violence with bomb attacks and mass killings. As soon as the law enforcement lost some of that pressure, Mafia went back to infiltrating goverment and doing underground business. Because clearly outright violence and terrorism is not viable in the long run. And they basically hold some territories in this way, de facto.
TL;DR Taliban basically are really similar to Mafia, which makes me hate them even more now.

The Americans and Russians in this game actually fight differently. When they attacked the Russians, the Russians would send infantry patrols to find them. When they attack the Americans, they send in seven attack helicopters and a tank to destroy their entire hill.
I agree man; the "ideal body weight" and BMI is absolute bullshit.
12:30 I guess you didnt know about the time Lamborghini made a light utility truck for the military called the LM002.
They what?
I saw it in Forza, this explains a lot
21:46 true but you're also going to have to have the logistics to back up those 10 drones which in the case of the u.s we do
I'd argue that even with 10 drones the logistics would miniscule compared even to a single fighter aircraft, but I don't have any real numbers so this just speculation.
23:00 That's a Bradley, an IFV, not an Abrams lol.
Based on some of the other videos you've reacted to, you'll probably be pleased to know Autocannons are a thing in 40k :P
Autocannon is absolutely a real world thing.
Cy and Maja actually have a really good relationship. They just like to joke around a lot.
0:46 it's definition is in the name it is a Canon that fires in full auto for example the main gun on the Bradley is a 25 mm autocannon
The Bradley is armed with a 25mm autocannon.
@@MPdude237 thank you for the correction
People call autocannons, "autocannon" because they are too large to be a heavy machinegun as its round's diameter is over 15mm, which is the largest diameter gun that can be considered a gun rather than a cannon.
I believe an autocannon refers to any machine gun above 15mm. I think the Soviet heavy 14mm is still considered a heavy machine gun, but the mg-151 15mm are either hmgs or auto cannons. The bushmaster and other similar weapons are autocannons. Things like the Vulcan and avenger are considered rotary cannons. Anything that is single fired or standardly auto loaded is still just a cannon. So leclercs and t-72 don’t have autocannons.
I've beem waiting for this video in particular to get your commentary and I am not disappointed
Now we all know that Wikipedia is not always the best source of information but apparently "An autocannon, automatic cannon or machine cannon is a fully automatic gun that is capable of rapid-firing large-caliber (20 mm/0.79 in or more) armour-piercing, explosive or incendiary shells, as opposed to the smaller-caliber kinetic projectiles (bullets) fired by a machine gun."
That intro you made only raises one question are you trying to kill us by making us laugh
If I recall correctly Autocannon are basically cannons that are fully automatic.
Think of things like 20 mm Hispano, 2cm Flak 30, 40 mm Bofors etc
adding to the car rant, newer cars breakdown so much more easily and are more expensive to fix if you are rich and you want a nice car to fix, get a 1970s muscle car convertible and drop a big block 440 in it give it a nice paintjob and your good as gold, you will pull more chicks with a muscle car than you will with a porche.
Shoutout from Belgrade Serbia, I love your content 🇷🇸
Don't joke about killing your partner if for no other reason than that statement can catch you a first degree charge if and when you actually do kill them. Yes I am joking.
As far as shotguns effective range goes? It depends. Firing shot your effective range will be somewhere within 100 meters, but with the right slug load and proper sights you can take deer at ranges up to and even slightly exceeding 150 meters, they make excellent and often overlooked weapons for unconventional urban warfare and guerilla snipers.
4:54 I interpret that as a military move or a move for power, not simply moving home.
31:19 that businessman is the villain of the series.
11:35 That WAS really out of context, afaik Cyanide and Maja are living in a happy relationship.
I can't wait to see the reaction of his to the other two videos in the series!
2:48 and that's why i respect all pilot from ww2 era
The word autocannon is used to describe a heavy machine gun that is shooting larger than standard ammo like 20mm or 30mm but doesn't have a rotating barrel. If it has a rotating barrel it's usually referred to as a gatlingcannon. This is not something that's used in the military but mostly among gamers.
Honestly, the only military incision I support, is mine, against any of my enemies.
I enjoy watching your videos, it’s very educational.
I like how he says "only 40% of Americans are obese" like that's a low number
That’s the joke.
@@jiraffe9600 I don't even remember commenting this. Was I drunk or smtng
