What you should have said is, who would fight for a man that's wanted by ICC. Anyone fighting for him could be seen as assisting a possible criminal, "if found guilty". But there are many crimes being committed in Ukraine & someone has to answer & be pay for theses crimes.

Vietnam was the first war that was broadcast into American living rooms. People who only knew what Holly Wood told them about Would War II and the Korean war actually got to see up close how horrible and gruesome combat really is.
Veterans usually wouldn't talk much about their experiences.
It should also be noted that in 1970, the voting age in the U.S. dropped down to eighteen years old. And since it was men who were between the ages of 18 to 21 going to fight it was politically expedient to leave Vietnam. Moms, dads, and son used their vote to go home.

There's so little reliable info that accurate predictions are impossible. My PERSONAL opinion is that there will be little drama with many of the collapses. I think what we'll see is a slow response or no response when a stronger, faster response would be expected.
Also, many statement about any collapse have qualifiers attached. Ex. If there's a full moon on Wednesday, you can expect the tanks to explode. Guess what? There's no full moon Wednesday. Yet everyone is expecting tanks to explode. SMDH.

Don't make the mistake of thinking any of these conscripts are necessarily opposed to the war in general; they probably know none of the truth at all. They simply don't want to die, and that's it, but that's good enough to prompt them to surrender.

They know exactly what is going on because they hear it from friends and they see the coffins coming home. They have probably been beaten during hazing, which is rampant in military training camps. They are afraid of their superior officers, lied to about the glories of the front, but reality sinks in when their "armor" is filled with plastic and their rifles jam up because they are rusty.
The reason Putin is reluctant to conscript men from western "white Russia" is because when those coffins come home, it's hard to hide them. Until now, sending coffins back to the far flung regions east of the Ural Mountains ain't a big deal because no-one cares about those "cousins of Mongol goatherders". Kinda like how Serbia doesn't respect Albanians...

To prevent revolts Putin has replaced a lot of the military leadership, moved people around senior positions. That is all because of Putin's fear of internal revolts.
When there is a major military revolt, I expect that opponents will just step aside. No one will willingly die to protect Putin if he starts to look vulnerable.

Dictatorship is the opposite of Democracy, not Capitalism.. Communism is a primarily economic concern and dictatorships use the concept in an effort to control everything. Democratic Communism is impossible since it would require a level of altruism in a population which humanity is currently unable to achieve. Socialism is the workable middle road.

Is this really a new thing? As far as I know the Afgan war 1979-1989 showed a poorly armed, poorly trained and terribly badly supported Soviet army where more than 50% of the troops were ill on average?

Why are lying? I can tell you, you describe the Ukrainians
It is what certain persons for the Transatlantic club are doing. You don't care about the Ukrainians, but for other interests😢😢😢

At 2:00 mins news flash, there is no conscription in Germany. Get your simple facts straight.

    • @Conz3D
      @Conz3D 11 днів тому +2

The (not so) simple fact is, that Germany still has a conscription, but it's put on hold. The military conscription in Germany has been suspended, not abolished.

Technically you may be right, but you are splitting hairs. The guest talked about the efficency of German conscription, whereas there hasn't been any since 2011.

Not a single piece of data, not a single fact.
Without this, all we are left with is opinion and assertion.
Expert opinion sits as the weakest form of evidence on any research or evidence hierarchy.
I would expect better from The Times.
