FYI the shoe weighs 9.4 oz/265 g for a US M10.5. Release date is August 8 for $180.
This shoe is a beefed up Streakfly. Gonna be a great shoe for this season.
the throwback color was is absolute beautiful. The nostalgia is real. The upper fits really well, i wish the mid foot was a little wider but for landing in the forefoot and the shoe does run about 1/2 big.
It's just been released on the Nike app here in the Philippines. Had to check once, twice, thrice to see if I'm not seeing things. Launched in two colorways. Just ordered a pair. I couldn't resist.
Correct. Not just Philippines, these dropped across Southeast Asia since allocations are shared with Malaysia, Singapore, Thai, Indonesia, etc. Strange that these days Southeast Asia get the latest drops even before the US, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and S.Korea! Interesting times ahead. I guess MNCs are finally realizing the potential of the SEA region
Same here in the US, but listed as coming soon. We have 5 colorways to be released in August.
The PT2 is one of my favorite shoes. Really hoping this builds on that.
I want to be as excited as you all are for this shoe, but $180 for a shoe that’s already not as good as the Endorphin Speed 4, Puma Deviate Nitro 3, or even more up tempo daily trainers like the New Balance Rebel V4 or Adidas Adizero SL2 just seems like price gouging the people who want it for the fond memories of the past. Nike: Purveyors of mediocrity for over half a decade.
$150 is the standard price for a “daily trainer” $180 is right up there with those shoes you mentioned & with a couple extra bucks you can snatch the Superblast 2. I ran in all the turbo shoes except the nature one, I’m looking forward to this one!
$140 is the standard price for good daily trainers as Rebel v4, Mach 6, Ride 17, or less as SL 2
Nike further cementing themselves as behind in the industry
Yeah you can get so many better tempo shoes for the same or lower prices on sale and for $180 you can even get something like the Takumi Sen 10 or Streakfly which are just better.
@@theperfecteraser5988have you even tried them?
its finally happening!!! Turbo 3 sounds way better
Random, but do you remember Turbo Man from Jingle All The Way feat Arnold Schwarzenegger?
“It feels alot like the peg 41 in the ride” major let down for me :(
You just need to take out the crap airbag and use a modern foam to make a great shoe, I assume this is the intent after the Pegasus 41 disaster.... Basically we only need a less fancy and more stable Invincible 3.
@@alb.1911 more stable than the invincible 3? i found it so stable but need more cusion on it in my opinion, other than that the invincible is an awesome shoe was looking forward to buy the peg 41..
@@manhunni I don’t find the Invincible 3 stable at all, just when you stand up still you see how your feet can wobble around in every direction as you shift your body weight.
Peg 41 are nice tf u mean
These definitely feel better than the Pegasus 41. I ran in these and i like it much more
The upper reminds me of a bowling shoe😂
Was just going say that, but love it.
Just two guys walking along with a shoe each 😂
Can’t unsee it now
I love the Invincible Run Zoom X. Hopefully, the 4th version will fix the 3rd heel slippage issue.
Dunno man… that nostalgia factor of the Adidas UB OGs and the Nike Peg Turbo for the new versions of UB 5/5x and this Turbo 3 might not cut it anymore. Might consider (only) if both shoes hit the outlets.
Wonder how long that ZoomX foam will last. The first 150 miles in the OG Turbo were pure running bliss, but the ZoomX ultimately bottomed out and felt way too firm with that minimal stack height.
It’s indeed 10mm drop as shown on Nike’s website. This shoe has been listed in various colorways as coming soon.
This one and the premium are my purchase target this year!
Man, I’ve been waiting for this one. It sounds unfortunate that Nike has gone from the brand that innovated to 2nd fiddle in this space.
What is actually new here? The OG Peg Turbo was launched in what, 2018 or 2019? At that time, Nike was the first brand to introduce new light supercritical foams and carbon plates. There was a certain hype around them back then and the Peg Turbo was perhaps the first (comparatively) light trainer featuring a supercritical foam and no plate. As such it deserved the attention it got. But since then shoe development has continued and all brands now have shoes in that category. So what does the Peg Turbo 3 - sorry Peg + - bring to the table? What is its contribution to the overall development of running shoes? I struggle to find the answer to that. Other shoes in this category cost from $110 to $ 160. What makes this one worth anywhere from $20 up to $70 more? What is the USP of this shoe? My impression is that Nike hasn’t gone to any length in designing this shoe. It is as mentioned in the video very much a rehearsal of what came out in 2018/19, but at a higher price than the competitors.
Nostalgia is worth $70 apparently.
I still own original pairs of the peg turbo 35 and peg turbo 2, and can say that even after 5 and 6 years they are better than just about any trainer out there right now. If these are similar, definitely worth the $180 price tag
How would you compare these to the Nike Tempo Next Percent (circa 2020, which I think replaced the original Turbo??)? I have been ordering these on eBay since they stopped making them and cannot find anything that I love as much. Would love your thoughts on how they compare.
Just putting it out there but basing on the quality and execution of Nike trainers……..the new Adizero Adios 9 will wipe the floor with this Pegasus when it comes out 😂
As long as they don't ruin the fit... 😅
Don’t forget the SL2 as well
For me the SL and the Adios is major dissapointed after all the hype
@@cuthomas4664 did you already run in the adios?
@@cuthomas4664 I got caught in the hype and got the new SL2. Based on shoetuber reviewers, it sounded like a shoe designed by the best rocket scientists at NASA or something, but it turned out to be a mere slab of foam with a layer of rubber, laces and a mesh upper on top. Oh, boy. But then again, I must be the fool here for believing otherwise, mustn’t I?
In Malaysia, this shoe was available on the Nike online store on the 19th of July. My guess is to counter Adidas' Ultraboost 5/5x which came out a day before.
Yes. Not just Malaysia, these dropped across Southeast Asia since allocations are shared with Malaysia, Singapore, Thai, Indonesia, etc. Strange that these days Southeast Asia get the latest drops even before the US, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and S.Korea! Interesting times ahead. I guess MNCs are finally realizing the potential of the SEA region
A comparison with the Rebel v4 would be interesting... both daily-ish trainers with premium foams🤔
Definitely need to try these. They look great!
I had Peg 35, 37, and 38. IMO the 35 was brutal in the forefoot, the 37 and 38 were decent, although not quite up to current shoes. Depending on what 'thin in the forefoot' means it could make me not go for this.
I know I won't be trying it, but I hope it makes the Peg Turbo fan club happy.
Are the insoles removable (like the Peg 39's I have) or are they sewn in as the Vaporfly and Alphafly are?
But is it lighter than Asics Superblast (2 or 1)? That's the direct competition we are keen on... Clash of the PEBA foams!!
There’s a lot of similar shoes on the market but still nothing beats ZoomX cushioning. Keep on hating haters! Your favorite brand is still playing catch up! They want to be like Nike!
No plate. Nothing that makes the shoe stand out from other trainers. Why would anyone pay 70-80$ more when you can get the same weight and stack height from budget trainers like Floatride 5. Nike needs a wake up call.
I must be a dinasour still running with Peg 36 for daily run. I got it from the outlet and it is fine for daily run just to log the miles. I got other shoes for speed workout and LSD.
As a fan of both the Turbo 1 and 2, it would be helpful to know how does it compare? Having run in so many Nike shoes, crazy they didn't keep that up and instead of making the Streakfly, make an aggressive Turbo 3.
Thomas, I kept waiting for you to say that you never returned your pair of original Turbos and this was all a joke. They look REALLY similar.
Why not bring back the Lunar Epic mids then 😜
@@thachillest1 I still have my originals -T
Hey Nike, we all understood now that you wanted to save some costs lately with a new ZoomX formula, but wasn‘t the real bounce thing the only reason why we bought those shoes?
Thx for video. Sounds like they are firm.can you confirm?
I tried the new peg and it does feel too thin under the forefoot for me ,
Like most of nike shoes
its already available for purchase in Malaysia
Robbie: I'm sure this shoe will find a lot of fans.
Me scrolling the comments... Oh no
I have a feeling this will get a similar write up to the Turbo Next Nature. Reviewers didn't pan it immediately and were somewhat positive but then a lot of people tried it and the mood changed and so did the long term reviews. Hardly anything positive about that shoe nowadays and given the stats of this shoe and the lack of innovation design this is another big missed opportunity from Nike. They should do better than this. But I doubt the reviewers will pan it out of the box given so many people loved the original and 2nd release of the model.
How do these compare to Vomero17 tho?
I don't know how you guys missed the fact that it literally says PEGASUS TURBO on the outsole. These are already out where I"m at.
I feel like you are describing the vomero. How do they compare?
Thomas looks ready to rock a pair of Kirkland's
I still have the original Turbo, with less than 50 miles on them
Yes, finally its here
Great video! We know you guys do a great job reviewing these shows, but as read most of these comments, I keep thinking that those who loved the OGs knew they'd love them regardless of specs or whatever, and those who hate this brand knew they were going to hate them in advance, too. That is, both cults were just expecting the corresponding video to come here and express all their love and hate, and nothings else.
It's a shame, but after 13 years running, I've come to feel there's nothing more divisive, hostile and downright fucked up than the running community at this point. I mean, I read the comments here or on any other shoetube channel and it feels like I've taken a freaking time machine straigh to my lunch break at fifth grade. Everybody knows everything, everybody is a potential CEO, and a shoe expert, and a running specialist, and a product designer, and a great runner who wants brands to manufacture shoes tailored to their exact preferences and specifications!
Can this be fixed? Whatever happened to this sport?
it was always like this (have you forgotten what letsrun has been like since this beginning?), it's just more prevalent now with the advent of social media and running's rise in popularity, especially the last 4 years
@@its1027 That’s sad, I hadn’t noticed it. Either I’m and idiot or maybe it’s because for years I was just running alone with a single pair of shoes and not watching or talking about anything related to running at all. I got into shoe nerdery maybe two years ago as a way to take the next step and improve my performance (though I never really had a problem with injuries or shoes from the 2010-2018 era), but these days I read fellow runner comments on social media and I think about quitting running altogether.
Bruh where are the invincible run 4s at ??! Is the real question 🙄
I tried on these sneakers yesterday. I'll wait for discounts :)
Thanks for this description. Like to Thomas and Robbe. Happy friday.
These or streakflys??
😅😅😅 landingstrip for honeybees or something, but I like the strip 🎉🎉❤
Hate these 10mm drops and a thin mid/forefoot with a giant bumper heel in all of nike's daily trainers
It does need another 2mm in the forefoot to make it an 8mm drop.
Did you like the new ultraboost or this better ?
It’s a personal preference. Nike uses PEBEX, whereas adidas uses TPU based foam for their ultraboost lineup. They’ll have a different feel on feet.
How does it compare against something like a Mach 6
That’s a plated shoe.. it’ll feel way different
@@puffdoobies the Mach 6 is not plated… perhaps you're thinking of the Mach X
@@crzyscorp ahh I stand corrected thanks
Here we are … first on the YT 🧨🧨🧨
quit holding out.. New Balance More v5 review.
they did that in the podcast
@@randenlewis152 not really. thats not a review. i saw that.
Just get the Superblast 2
Strictly casual wear for me.
This is NIKE rushing to bring a new shoe after the Pegasus 41 flop...🤦♂
this one was in the works since last year
Peg 41 was fire fym
They basically just needed to rerelease the v1 exactly as it was
Sounds just like the Vomero.
Nice shirt Thomas
Landing strip for bees 😂
I totally agree with Robbe ... What is up with the racing strip? It is not attractive at all. ...aesthetically unappealing
If you can‘t make it as good as the original version, at least make it look like it, and hope some will buy…
Maybe turbo 4 after peg turbo next nature
@@tono1665 natures do not count for any model 🗑️
Its a no for me dawg. Nikes only good shoe is the Alphafly. Everything is is garbage - mid. They need to step it up... and the stock price reflects it.
Aside from the shoes being meh, its the video production you guys walking and talking is annoying 😢
Adizero SL2 🎤⤵️
Ride close to 41? That's offensive:)
Turbo 4, you forgot about the next nature
we don't talk about the NN
We don't count garbage as shoes
I just ran in the Next Nature this morning. It’s not as bad as everybody makes it out to be, but you do need to be patient with it
Nature was for casual wear, not a true running shoe.
10 mm drop.. 😂
What’s wrong with 10mm drop ?
Nike is so far behind in the running shoe game.
...ja true: thieves believe in the run! ergo:......

I'm not buying that ugly shoe color at that price nike is getting worst and worst every year I hope they make invincible and infinity as squeshie like the first versions of those shoes drop the prices nike!!! Or stop making shoes !!!too thin forefoot make them thicker max cushion thats what we need
We hate cars.
Just not that special anymore!
another flop well done nike
Bruh. That thing is hideous.
Agreed , but Nike will make lots of color ways some likely to be okay …maybe ?
there's always one
thing of beauty
