The pegasus 34 was the last pair that was great. Ever since that model the material and fit has gotten worse...the back heel design changed with the 34 and has caused slippage ever since.

Your videos are an amazing resource to bounce my thoughts on the same shoes from. You are one of the only running shoe content creators I trust with opinions even on shoes I am yet to try.
i guess it is what it is. A Peg is a Peg is a Peg....in the early days, they did not keep the numbers, they just changed the color. I got my first Peg in 1978 or 1979, and i have a Peg in my rotation ever since, running everything in them from a 5k race, 10k or marathon half all the way to a 100k and a 100 mile.......total mileage of the older shoes back in the 80th were always more than 1000 miles without any problems Average shoe for an average old geezer like me. I take a Peg over any plated shoe on the market.........thanks for another great video ......before i forget, absolutely like to get some recipe ideas for healthy eating......wholefood plant based for life

I got 70 miles on the Pegasus 41 now and while I really like the foam, the 10mm drop is kind of severe. Older versions of the peg kind of felt more like 6 or 8, but these out a lot of pressure on the toes. They do feel light and a somewhat bouncy, but I wish the toe box was a bit wider, similar to the toe box on the Vaporfly 3.
Brining the sneaker culture vibes to the running side of things. very nice video Yowana. Also, I spend time in New England and The South, I haven't seen ANYONE wear the structure or vomero.

I had to chuckle as I'm watching this review as I'm on my treadmill for Global Running Day in my Pegasus 38 which after 300 miles still has some life. Oh! Watching from Trinidad and Tobago btw
My favorite is the Pegasus 2000. It had the perfect amount of cushioning and responsiveness. It was even more responsive than the newer iterations with React cushioning.
Great video I got these earlier today from roadrunner and am excited to run some more in them.I just subbed to both channels I’ll definitely watch some more content
I run with no shirt all the time. No apologies from me because I really don’t care. When I run the world around me disappears. Love your vids I just found you, keep it up bro
Great stuff as always! Now, the real question is - how are the peg 41s compared to the vomero 17s? How about the novablasts? Like you, I thought the vomero 17s were the unsung heroes of the Nike lineup and what the peg 40 should have been. So would you wait for the vomero 18s to come out (assuming they don't kill the model or ruin it by taking it a different direction) or are the peg 41s a step in the vomero's direction?
Great question! Vomero 17 is definitely softer and more comfort oriented. So far I think the peg 41 is better for faster running - doing a faster workout and comparison tomorrow in the pegs so stay tuned for that!
You don't even have to ask of recipes would be amazing, maybe a runners recipe swap page on the supwell site? Great review as always! Pegs are a classic
I got a pair today and I ran 3.5 miles on stairs and they felt a little tight and my feet are a little sore but they felt so good anyway I’m excited to use them more. Pegasus 39 was great for me can’t wait to put 300 miles on the 41s

Very informative video. But i have one question. Are these shoes only suitable for running (jogging)? Or are they also suitable for longer shifts in the catering industry to relieve the strain on the back or are other models recommended? I'm looking for the perfect shoes for the 10,000+ steps I take 5 times a week in my restaurant. Best regards :)
Brooks ghost max! It's the best shoe for long hours standing and walking. Much more comfortable than these. They are my go to. And they are on sale for $120 since the second version came out recently (first version is better for walking and standing)
Sagasu Running has a really good review on these. Argues that the 41 is really more of an update to the 36, which in many peoples' minds was the last great Pegasus. As someone who's taken a break from the peg line for the last few years (the 38/39 didn't agree with me) the 41 is a really solid return to form
I always enjoy seeing what's cooking in Supwell Kitchen. Yes to some Charli food content, although I'd guess that she stays pretty busy so only if time permits.
Technically the Triumph 22 but I prefer the hurricane 24 as the max cushion Saucony pick. The hurricane is one of my favorite comfort-oriented shoes this year - it soft and bouncy but has great support
Hoka Mach 6 and New Balance 860v14 are my current favorites! Both are cushioned and bouncy - the Mach 6 is a little lighter and faster and the 860v14 is a little more stable and structured. Both are comfortable and fun to run in
UA-cam was bugging out for me the other day when I was trying to comment. You should try the Altra Experience Flow though! It's their new line of 4mm drop shoes (they have a stability version and a trail version). I also think it would be cool to see your thoughts on the Altra Via Olympus 2 (their max cushion shoe).
Hey yowana good review, I run in Nike and ASICS , although ASICS seem feel better for my long runs. I feel like I run faster and faster pace in Nike . I’m just worried Nike won’t protect my running as much which should I use for longer distances u think? I don’t feel my pace is as fast with ASICS but I feel more stable with ASICS
Do you know which Nike and Asics models in particular? The Pegasus definitely aren't as protective as some of the asics training shoes for long runs, but it also depends which type you have
Hey yowana yea I get ASICS gel contend , and Nike free runs, but I have heard Nike interacts are light with good protection. I am a heavier runner 5,9 190 so I have to get a lot of my mileage on treadmill to avoid injury and shin splits . And I have do a lot cross training. Do u think it’s better to try to run everyday? Or run longer runs 4 times week every other day for better recovery? I try run everyday but always seems be slower with recovery issues . You think it might be better for me stick to running 4 days week if I’m training for fast half and better full . I always try do 15-17 mile long run every week with 3 other shorter run days. My body doesn’t seem respond well running everyday
I haven't run in either of those specific models but I prefer more cushioned shoes for longer runs! Also personally if I'm having any pain I will always scale down my volume and intensity - and then once I'm feeling better I will ramp back up again. But I try not to push too hard if anything hurts
The 40s are like $60, so while invincible 3s and vomero 17s are around $100 and less on sale I think ima have to wait to try the 41s. Either way great review bro!
Thank you! And after putting 100 miles on the Pegasus 41s, I would suggest either the Vomero 17 or invincible. The Pegasus just felt flat and not the best shoe for any type of run. I'd take Vomero as a daily and the invincible if you want something fun
@@supwell I personally got the invincible 3s, they’re definitely fun like you said and worth it if you get them on sale. If I get another daily trainer from Nike I’ll grab some vomeros at a clearance store
The thing with Nike is the shoes can be really good value on sale but at full price some of their shoes are just not worth it in my opinion-I’d be willing to pay full price for new balance or hoka, but Nike is different ya know
Great video, i have the Pegasus Turbo next nature i run 5-10k and i m looking for something a little bit different, more perf but not less confort, which one do you suggest ?
I haven't tried the InfinityRN yet but that's going to be a lot more cushioned. The Pegasus has a decent amount of ground feel in the forefoot and feels like a simple shoe. From what I've heard the InfinityRN is pretty comfortable but feels like a lot of foam - so more protection and weight and no ground feel
they look ok in black/white, but i wanna see how the outsole holds up in a 100mile+ review ;) (well done on the crocs colab, always liked their wide fit for recovery!)
New to the channel and running. Currently getting in my miles in the ghost 15 and run anywhere from 3-6 miles at a zone 3 pace. Is the peg 40 similar to that? What would you recommend as my next shoe? Thanks in advance!
Glad to have you running and here on the channel! If you want something a little more fun and bouncy than the Ghost, I'd go with the Hoka Mach 6. Pegasus is pretty similar to the Ghost in that they're both simple, no frills kind of shoes. I actually think the new Ghost 16 is a little bouncier than the Pegasus. But Mach 6 has a nice soft and bouncy ride perfect for those zone 3 miles
Thoughts on fit: We both wear a 10.5 but you seem to be on the upper end while I'm on the lower end. It was the Novablast 3 that convinced me to go 1/2 size up. My DN2 are 10.5 and I don't have any issue wiggling my toes and I have a duck-shaped foot. Fox in Crocs and Crocs in Box: Those Crocs look really comfy with that cushion. I'll definitely keep those in mind. I've only worn the traditional style. It might be good to have an easy to find Crocs link on your website too, to make sure you get credit. I was just there and there were ads on your page now; I hope you're getting a cut. Just one more thing: good to know the Confederate flag is not Supwell certified.

Nope they are a little narrow per usual for the Pegasus but comfortable for and no rubbing/hot spots! Have put 30 miles on them so far and the fit is comfortable
The peg 35 was my first real running shoe and I hated them, felt too thin under the forefoot and would cause terrible foot aches. Soooo many better daily trainers around the Peg 41s specific price point
Pegasus are really outdated now, technically. Some shoes are speedier while being also comfier AND cheaper, like puma velocity nitros for exemple. I think people who are still buying Pegasus in 2024 are buying just for the style, or because they did not try competing brands recently. Over the past 4 years, the market changed a lot, and as you said... the Pegasus stayed the Pegasus.

I don't think I will ever buy a Nike Air... I am too terrified that the air bag pop 🤷♂
What are you talking about?! White and black are the best colors!
