Hahaha. The deodorant comment is absolute truth. I've went to anime and video game conventions for over 10 years now and there are always people who smell terrible and make it a bad time for everybody else. It was such a known issue that this group of people decided to cosplay "Anti-Con funk" and dressed up as deodorants and soaps. Aunt handing them out LOL
Some people just have no shame and any kind of nerd-adjacent gathering will get some of them. It got so bad with Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments that they had to make and official ruling that any time any rule says you shake hands with anyone you only have to agree to the idea of a handshake, not actually shake hands because some people were so disgusting people were losing games because they refused to shake hands.
Component > SCART I had all retro access SCART cables. They were great. But i switched to all HD Retrovision cables for an all component set up. Way easier to find video switchers for multi output, easier to find CRTs with compoment in, frees up electrical plugs without needing an RGB to compoment transcoder, dont have to worry about sync. Just way easier. Oh and my favorite, just for fun, i ran extension cables and extended the compoment cables going to my Retrotink5X by up to 30 feet, with very little to any noticable loss in quality.
