Thank you letting us know about the power supply for the MiSTer Pi. I was experiencing rebooting and some other issues and it was a low amp phone charger I was using that was causing problems. Very informative as always. Love the channel.
The Sega Lounge at PRGE was sweet. PRGE was awesome this year. The floor space has almost doubled in size since you last went, Bob. My only complaint this year (and last) is too many retro consoles on the floor hooked up to flat screens. I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan, and got to meet and get my MK1 arcade marquee signed by the actors from the 1st Mortal Kombat game. They are legit some of the nicest and coolest people ever. You can tell they really love doing expos and are super thankful to all the people who show up to their panels and booths.
PRGE was a ton of fun and I spent some time at the SEGA lounge trying out some of the things I don't have. The highlight for me was missile defence 3-D on Master system since I don't plan on getting a master system so the whole 3-D glasses and light gun is an experience I would have otherwise never gotten. I also played Knuckles Chaotix co-op with my friend experiencing the jank of the game together was a blast.
Hi, I'm actually the author of the reddit post you showed linked starting at @18:57 (the MisterPi PSU debacle). I want to clarify that no, as far as I can tell, the power supply I'm using is NOT the issue. A few people in that same reddit post have confirmed that they are using the same PSU that I'm using and that they are not having the same issues as me. I have used other PD compliant power supplies like my MacBook's charger and still I always eventually encounter the problem where, from what I can tell, the Mister Pi corrupts the boot partition of the SD card. I still have not solved this issue, and in fact stopped using my Mister Pi altogether. Don't get me wrong, the Mister Pi seems like a fantastic product, and as the reviews pour in i have no doubt that it's working phenomenally for most people. That, whether due to my ignorance or ONE faulty device, just hasn't been MY experience with it. I might just buy another main board in the next batch to confirm.
I didn't think "Hotel Mario" was a bad game, the problem was playing with that freaking remote as a controller. They also got the only console version of "The 7th Guest" and the best home conversions of the Bluth Laserdisc games at the time. I don't care what anyone says I was very interested in the top down "Zelda's Adventure". It is a shame the CDi hardware was so anemic to gaming that the music would cut out whenever you slashed as Zelda. If there was a bit more RAM I think that game would be more enjoyable to most people. The GB demake is not good enough to me.
StoneAgeGamer restocked the MemCard Pro2 just recently. I managed to snag a smoke variant but they have since sold out of those. The only one that currently still in stock is charcoal black variant. Already recieved mine.
Thanks for the news... I'm "surprised" with the PixelFX and Morph Updates : that's a lot of boards plugin .. I'm worried about the "durability" of this scaler with time. Can we experience any trouble with heat warming ?
Considering there’s only been two individuals who have shown their results in overheating, plus they could not recreate those results, I think overheating is being overblown.
@mpowerness92 - There were more than two reports, but not everyone wants to deal with Woozle’s backlash for having any kind of criticism. Don’t come into my comments and try to marginalize all the work my colleagues put into testing these devices.
Contra plays the same to me on original hardware, my RG35xx sp, my Mister FPGA, and the countless other retro handhelds and consoles I have built over the years. I do prefer my RGB modded Nesessity 1.6 on my Sony CRT visually, however.
I hope there is a way to mod a electron analog HDMI mod into a Sega 32X, Saturn and Master Systems even those 3rd party Sega Genesis handhelds and / or Nomad
Hi Bob! I have a small consumer TV that works great except when placed on either side. When placed on it's side the colors look wrong. It's worse when placed on one side compared to the other. Placed on it's left side a small part of corner screen is discolored. Placed on it's right side the solid blue sky in Super Mario Bros becomes pinkish, and other colors don't look right. The discoloration seems to start from the top right and radiate towards the other side in both cases. This TV has small side speakers, so maybe it's one of those, but again the issue only happens when placed on it's side? I also though it might be a loose blue wire, but then why wouldn't the loss of blue color be total rather than only part of the screen. This TV would be great for carting around the house and playing vertical games aside from this issue. Thanks for any help!
What you're describing happens to every CRT that I've seen. I think it sounds like you're flipping it while the screen is on. Try to rotate it while the screen is off first. If you have the same thing happen, try keeping it on its side and off for a couple hours and check again. I don't think you will have to, though.
If the discoloration doesn’t go away, you can use a degaussing wand. I have a CRT that requires manual degaussing every time I rotate it, even when off.

The new Morph 4K (since a few weeks) has a revised case for better ventilation. This apparently lowers the temperature considerably.
