It's great that you are thinking outside the box. This would definately allow for a much longer warp than my inkle. Thanks for sharing this great idea!
Thanks so much for posting this. I have a ridged heddle loom and when I saw a few video's on the tablet weaving, I also got to thinking about how to use the rigid heddle loom and be able to do more patterning on it. I was thinking about how you did it, and also about making a lot of cards and actually using the cards as my heddles. If I get around to doing that, I'll have to make a video of it. Thanks again!
Thank you for this video. I was making a table weaving project on my inkle and could not move the strap plus it was too wide. So I had friends transfer it to back-strap weaving, which I have never done, and did not get the tension. I then decided to use my Cricket 15" loom and was tying each individual set of 4, which is time consuming, you just made one knot and that will save me lots of time. I really hope this works.
thank you for this...i'm definitely going to try it...do you worry that it's too much tension on a small area of the front and back apron bars that they might break?

I'm wondering how you deal with the warp getting tangled if you are not alternating the card twists.
Hi may I ask you whare did you get you're cards from what site and the name of them please.
Great use of your loom. Look for the video of Linda Hendricson warping and droping cards. Much faster method then the way you did it.
Thank you, Steven! I found Linda's Continuous Warp video and it'll save me a lot of time from now on.
Brilliant!
