Howdy gamers, it's finally that time. The 1.0 version of the infamous super mario 64 romhack b3313 came out a few days ago, and I thought I'd throw out this visual guide for getting all the red stars.
My chat and I went through a lot of these last night, and I get frustrated diving into wiki's so I figured a VISUAL guide would help the ADHD gamers.
I've tried to make this as intuitive and unintrusive as possible. Because despite playing this game for more than 200 hours, I don't know anything by name.
This also is NOT a suggestion to speedrun b3313, I hope you take your time and enjoy it slowly :)

Okay so I believe for those having trouble with the submarine being closed
I _THINK_ you have to rest at the main screen of the game with mario's face until you hear him say NONONO, then it should be open

it's only in the shoshinkai water land, not the b-roll one
nope, you're actually supposed to enter the door on the right-hand side when entering the front doors of the castle. you get different versions of levels for either door
I'll let you in on a little secret. There are two identical beta lobbies (A and E) with similar levels. A has levels from the B-roll footage (Bowser's sub is closed), and E has levels from the shoshinkai footage (Bowser's sub is open).
confirmed, you just have to wait until the nonono and the sub opened.

Big Flyguy is brutal considering how easy the rest of the game is.
You know, after watching the attack pattern a few times, I realised that Big Flyguy is basically Queen Bee from Terraria.
So people know, if you're having a hard time with the Lethal Lava painting coming to life at night you can simply enter the room and leave again. The music will be normal peach theme again and the only time it will become hunted and the painting moving around again is after you've left a painting world while still in the basement, so be careful.
The goomboss is hard af on keyboard man wtf💀💀💀
Now you should make a new guide for the green stars.
1:43 YOU CAN GET THERE FROM THERE??? omg i feel cheated, i legit spent like an hour roaming around to finally get to that area, i did eventually find some other alternate and faster ways to get there but man does it hurt lol, this game is huge
honestly parrallel lobby is literally a pain to find, and during night (when your system time is evening) the pipe in plexil lobby sends you to a night variant of the beta vanilla lobby, which does not have the same access to parrallel lobby
@@sundermc pretty sure the hallway is still there in the night time variant leading to parallel lobby
I wouldn’t fault yourself for not finding that; the holes on the sides of the entrance there will dunk you into the pits due to the camera taking a sharp turn if you try to walk to the door. You aren’t intended to take it that way but to learn about that path as a shortcut by exploring exits out from that area once you’ve found it somewhere else.

you can skip the RNG and go straight to the dark whomp's fortress by going to the vanilla lobby, going to that version of whomp's fortress, and jumping into the floating cage

the goomboss fight is messed up for me, the goombas don't pop up to the surface so i can't shoot them into the boss, i'm not sure if its a level scaling thing?

I tried taking the path at 26:18 after collecting the previous red stars, and it said "you are not worthy". Do you need 50 power stars to be worthy or something? Because I only had 24 when I tried it.
EDIT: I read that you need 33 stars on the wiki.
if you go there again its guaranteed it lets you through. The first time is not worthy and all times are are worthy

I'm on the 1.0 hotfix and when I try to go to fake lobby, the pipe instead sends me to a purple lobby with stars (idk its name)
i cant find the Big Scuttlebug painting, The place where it should be, there is nothing and i am on 1.0 abandoned
The build known as 1.0 Abandoned is actually 0.9, which only has 11 Red Stars, so you can't actually beat that version
Another problem: When i go to vanilla basement i cant because Lethal lava land painting fireball is chasing me
Have to change your pc clock so that it's not night. At night that thing chases you and crashes the game :(

You can find a Red Star when you ground pound the Sun and find the faceless Marios
That one has been changed to yellow
I have all of these stars, but it still says i need one more.
Heads up: when you go to the level for the big scuttlebug, do NOT go to the basement at night because the LLL fireball will chase you and crash the game if it catches you.
Make sure you listen close to the music, if it sounds ominous leave and go back through the door. If it switches to normal it’s safe to go for the big scuttlebug

Nah, I got all of these, and the game is still tellin me I lack 1 red star. What am I missin' 😢😢😢😢
At 31:39, that door is locked for me. I have 3 red stars. Tried on ACT 0 and ACT 1 (waiting on title screen until mario falls asleep and then wakes up)
I _think_ this is a regular star requirement. Maybe 35ish? Trying to confirm

The submarine is closed
Confusingly enough, there are multiple variations of Water Land you can be warped to with either the submarine hatch open or closed.
If you enter the right door of the castle, you'll be in Beta Lobby E. Entering the far right painting will take you to the Shoshinkai version, which has the hatch opened.
@@JakeTheVictini theres a right door to the castle? and a 5th lobby varient?
@@sundermc I meant the right door of the front double doors. The lobby that door goes to is slightly different than Beta Lobby A. You'll know because there are no leading "0"s in the HUD.

@@sundermc Kind of. Beta Lobby E is through the front door of the Castle Grounds, but you enter through the right door instead of the left.
