Retired professional photographer here in the states. I'm doing a lot more macro work these days and find your videos to be soooo informative. Great tips, ideas and training! Just got my facial mister from Amazon yesterday. You also have a wonderful way in front of the camera. Keep those videos coming - we need you!
Wow Jay thank you ever so much I am speechless with your wonderful comment. Trust me I will most definitely be carrying on I have so so much more up my sleeve my friend. I really can’t thank you enough for this comment
Ah Lee mate, brilliant! Had some success then I tried putting the wire in the freezer for an hour then spraying, so different but man you have to work quick! Now to try spraying then putting it in the freezer 🥶
Hi my friend I really love your idea about freezing the droplets. If I was you I would put the wire into the freezer then spraying it that way you might get the droplets to stay on. Then after a few hours repeat the spray and see if you can build them up
New subscriber here! 😊 I have only watched 2-3 of your videos and I’ve already learned so much! I just love your friendly down-to-earth style. Time to take a deep-dive at the rest of your videos!

Ah, so THAT'S how you achieve your signature backgrounds. Thanks. I'll need to do some more macro at home. The wet and muddy winter has killed my inspiration for outdoors photography.

All your shots are amazing Lee but the spiral wire was my favourite! You are so right about doing photography on a budget. The KISS principle rules here (Keep It Simple Stupid). Again thanks for another inspiring video.
Another great lesson. I love that you keep things simple in order to reach a larger audience. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your next creative idea. Thank you so much.

In other words you are such an inspiration, and that's what a content creator should be!!! Thank you so much!!!! This will be my next project!!!!!👍👍👍📷
Wow thank you for such a wonderful compliment. The World is definitely a bad place at the moment with everything that is going on. I find it's easier to put my mind into photography and just go with the flow lol. You will have hours of fun with this little project. The only thing that can stop you is your imagination
OOOOOOO, I love those pics at the end of the video! Also, if women are jewerly makers or crafters, you could also use some of the fine art wire in metalic colors too.... I have a ton! Lee which lights are these? I checked your description and they weren't mentioned and found an expensive set of three on US Amazon. Thanks for these inspiring videos.... I'll be watching a lot more of these videos too.
Love the idea of using that misting device. I've added a little glycerin to the water to add a little surface tension, I wonder if that would work with that little sprayer ? Nice video, Thanks
Hi Tom hope you’re keeping well, thank you for your message. I wouldn’t try it with my little mister my friend as I think the glycerin would block it up as it’s so fine
Hello my friend thank you ever so much I forgot once again to put the link to the spray. Woops I will drop it at the bottom of this message for you amzn.to/3OcXFRa
I just love watching your videos you do things that dont cost the earth which for me is just what I need. I am now today going to try again with this copper wire so fingers crossed. Thank you so much for making these videos for us all to watch ☺☺ Take Care my good friend ☺
Another great video Lee. I love it! I would have never thought to use copper wire. Other than the sprayer, have you ever tried mixing glycerine with the water to help the drops retain their shape and stick easier? I have heard of that trick, but definitely going to try the sprayer/mister. Please keep up the great videos and hopefully someday you and Steward can do another collaboration video. 😁
Hi buddy thank you for stopping by and sending me such a wonderful message. I have tried glycerin a couple of times in the past and it does help a little bit but I find it makes the water heavy and when I use a flash with it the drops look milky. I would never put it in my spray bottle as it would block the spray up mate. Maybe me and Stewart will be teaming up later on in the year. We will just have to see
I going to try freezing water droplets on a wire. It's minus 17 degrees where I am in Ontario right now, so the droplets should freeze in about 5 seconds
That was brilliant Lee and always love the ideas you come up with. One question Lee what is the name of the little lights you’re using and where is the best place to get them as they look brilliant.

Excellent I have done this but I did not know how to get good water drops. I been doing it the hard way. The mister bottle what way to go. Found a assortment of bottles on the amazon.
Hello my friend thank you for your message. The mister bottle really does help build up the water droplets perfect. I struggled my self with a normal spray bottle.
Hi Lee, thanks for sharing these videos. What are the small lights with the snoots and the mister? Sorry if these questions have already been asked. Kirk

Hi my friend no problem I get them from amazon uk but some times you never get what you see on the picture but I will put you a link yo the one I have just got amzn.to/4bapUK7
Hi my friend I totally agree with you on that. But the only problem is I only have one video camera so it makes it hard to record things twice. But I have just brought a lead to plug my small camer I use to take the pictures with into the computer. Hopefully that will work. But I was thinking the same as you my friend. I 100% agree with what your saying
@@LeeHallphotography I fully understand that! With one camera, you can turn the set so the viewer sees all from the side as you will do from the other side. No more equipment required, just a 90 degree turn.
There's no reason I can see that you should not demonstrate the use of the software bundled with your camera, DPP with your Canon, OM Workspace with this camera. Viewers can tell you what comes with other brands, perhaps someone wile link to or make a video you can share. Many years ago, I went to rod building classes where I made a fishing rod. To coat it I used ssome epoxy stuff, to measure small quantities I purchased a syringe from a local pharmacy. Needles not required. We used much larger ones, needles included, down of the farm.
😂🤣😂🤣 well I can’t say a lot but size really does not matter 😂🤣😂🤣 well I hope not lol. It’s a small 60mm lens but I have used my 100mm as well. I don’t like to go on about cameras to much as I am really not that technical lol

Kirk

Not a problem
add a tiny bit of food coloring to the water and try that 🤷♂️
Great idea mate I might just give that a go and see what it come out like. I have still got them all set up 👍👍👍
@LeeHallphotography I really curious how they turn out
Great video but you should let the viewer see what you see. A sheet blocking the view isn't perfect for youtube.
In your video you don’t mention what lens you are using. So seriously…Does size matter?😅
😂🤣😂🤣 well I can’t say a lot but size really does not matter 😂🤣😂🤣 well I hope not lol. It’s a small 60mm lens but I have used my 100mm as well. I don’t like to go on about cameras to much as I am really not that technical lol
@@LeeHallphotography have you ever used a lensbaby lens? I have the 105 macro lens, which I would try with this I think.
