Great to see you back, and making things simple with brilliant results.
@@phillt9134 hi mate thank you for the kind words. I am hoping to do at least 1 or 2 a month to get back into the swing of things
I love your videos because you are always happy & down to earth in your presentations, & make me want to try your ideas because of your simplistic approach, encouragement & suggested settings.Thank you for your ideas. I'm heading outside to find a leaf for my background. Great idea. Keep on having fun with your photography & sharing it with us!
You are the master of keeping it simple. I love your ideas. With your guidance, there is no reason why any of us cannot produce some wonderful images. And, I couldn't agree more, take images for yourself and no one else. Thanks again Lee.
@samelogio7441 hi there my good friend thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. I really think that if more people made there videos simple we would enjoy them more. I am glad you agree with me on my thoughts about social media.
Nice one, looking forward to the next one.
Super happy to see you again Lee. When I see your enthusiastic face and skills I just have to smile. You seem to be the type of fellow who's fun to hang out with over a few pints. 🍻

Bravo Lee, I LOOOOVE the pictures!!! What you said about social media is so important, we often tend to "feed the crowd", while we forget to find the joy in our photography, and this is not right...
@@macsaikrisztina hi my friend thank you ever so much. It is true I don’t post as much as I did because I don’t want to be in that sort of a race where we are all trying to compete for a like. I just really enjoy plodding on at my own pace and just enjoying the moment

@@johnmcnaughton6808 hi mate thank you ever so much how did you get on the other day
Yay! I'm so happy to see another video of yours, Lee! You are such a great teacher and I've learned so much by watching your videos! I have a question concerning using dandelion clocks in the winter. Do you pick them in the summer and freeze them to use in the winter? I'm in Canada, so when it's summer, I do mostly landscape and wildlife pictures, and I do still life and macrophotography (thanks to you) indoors during the winter. I have a few white dandelion heads in a tupperware in my freezer, and I'm hoping they will be workable when I try to use them in the winter. Any advice? Thank you!
@ursulanoircent hello there my friend thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind comment I really appreciate it.
The best way to keep your seed heads I have found is simply put them into a small cardboard box. Or I use a Pringles tube. I have kept them for over a year this way. I did try and freeze them my self but they did not work that well after.
Excellent idea salad leaf in green background 🙌🙌
Christine from FRance
@@orvozon2914 hello Christine it really does work so well and you can even eat it later lol I hope you are keeping safe my French 🇫🇷 friend
Thats an awsome set of shots. Now you just need one with a fly on the plant.
Thank you trust me I recorded this last Saturday and I have watched it all week just to get a shot with a fly on it lol. I will get one
Your videos are fun and instructional, full of ideas and techniques. Thanks
Wow thank you for the very kind compliment I really do appreciate all you messages
I have a question for you. How do macro pictures look on a large screen? Are they washed out or faded? Could they be presentation quality? I enjoy your videos. They get my juices going.
@@robertlaliberte1820 hi my friend when you upload any pictures onto UA-cam they render the pictures down a lot. They should be good for a big screen but they are never the same as a high resolution shot. When I do my presentation talks I use high resolution shots. It is the same on facebook they also render the pictures as well.
I have blown my pictures up as large as 2 meters by 1 meters. And they are still pin sharp.
Good to know. I recently joined a photography club and once a month we meet and the pictures we took are showed on a large screen. By the way, I know where Muskoka is. 4 hour drive North of hear. Nice place. You should come and see it in the fall when the leaves change colours.
@@robertlaliberte1820 I am hoping to come and visit next spring if all goes well I am hoping to do a bit of a road trip to see some of my friends
Thanks
No thank you for taking the time to say thank you it really means a lot to me
Great images something different
@karengoody8142 thank you kindly my friend I really appreciate comment 🙏🙏🙏
We have drosera growing wild in the bush. One group we call rainbow plants. Mostly they're climbers to a metre or so. They have small hands to hold onto things they climb, and small insects such as ants that drop in for a feed. Others are dead flat, with hairy, sticky leaves. Both grow a bunch of flowers near end of life.
@oneeyedphotographer hi my friend you are so so lucky. I would love to see them we don't have many interesting plants like this in the UK
@@LeeHallphotography There are some in Cambridgeshire
@@oneeyedphotographer I would definitely be interested in going and taking pictures off them
Me again, JJC make OM-D extension rings, £35 on Amazon, used these on my OM (before I switched to Fuji) with good results. Terry
Brilliant topic as always Lee, thank you. Were you bracketing your shots? Best wishes. Terry
OM systems do ext tubes they are pricey though. Cheaper options Viltrox and Kenko
Thank you my friend I order some in the week from Amazon and they sent the wrong ones . I am now waiting for another set from viltrox
