This is one couple I admire the most, in the whole universe...... their fairytale marriage ( literally), their devotion to each other, the way they conduct themselves, the way they fiercely protect their loved ones & the way they have shaped United Kingdom..... so, so, meticulously, & the way they protect their citizens under any circumstances...... In one word admirable.......
I don't believe that I have ever seen the Queen look better. All her appearances were spot on. I met her in a way this trip. Will always remember.

My mother adored Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. She sadly passed on July 2021 at 98 years old. Her wish was to reach 99 so she could write to HM for her 100th.

Yeah, I was amazed by that! That was cute. I probably would have done something like that, (out of ignorance), back when my daughter was a small child. I was always spoiling her, wanting the best for her. When she was a baby, I actually made a special effort to get the attention of Joan Kroc, the original owner, and wife of the founder of the entire McDonald's Corporation, (McDonald's fast food restaurants from all over the world), and I asked her to come over and look at my baby, as she was walking by!! (My daughter is now 23 yrs.old). 😄😉😁
Well, that was 37 yrs. ago, and that little girl was about 4-5 yrs.old then, so she'd be about 41 to 42 yrs.old now.

But all of those facts are beside the point.
I shared this, because it was a precious memory, it was a blessing for me to even meet Joan Kroc. (Especially, that she came over to my table to say hello, and tell me what a beautiful baby I had).
Her and her husband were philanthropists, and they donated alot of money, probably millions, to different organizations, and charities.
I don't know. But I wish I could meet a royal. Met celebrities. Never met a royal and the longest reigning monarch of her dominion.

great visit! What i was thinking today is somewhat related to it. There is hardwork of creativity as well as hardwork of economic struggle. Although some of the ideas come as the excavation is ongoing. Our history has people living in states for far too long however, so it maybe made up as an artpiece for us to learn.

For God’s sake, use a little common sense! The Queen and Prince Philip were on a state visit to Canada at the time, and would have been in the company of statesmen, dignitaries, servants, secretaries and the like every waking moment. To assume that they could have taken "time off" to commit any criminal act is ludicrous, unless you assume that several thousand Canadians were complicit.
Finally, why would they do it? The answer is obvious, of course, if you’re one of the unfortunates who believe that the Royal Family are cannibals or blood-drinkers.
This conspiracy postulation (I won’t dignify it by the term “theory”, as that presupposes some measure of proof) is, to me, one of the more absurd which surround the much-maligned Royal Family.

@@carmelitajones7779 it seems it must be updated and refitted every ten years and because of it being done last in 87 it would cost 17 mill in 97 and that would only give it a few more years and be horribly expensive to run even then.

I didn't realize so much was happening over a yacht. I want HM to keep the yacht and they renovate it. The time may come where a yacht that size will be needed while recovery and rebuilding goes on from tragedies.

In 2018, the Royal Family cost the Government £41 million. In the same year, the Crown Estates paid £329 million into the Treasury, so in that sense the Royal Family supports the Government.
The government gives The Queen the Sovereign Grant, which is twenty percent of the income of the private Crown Estate, the total amount of which The Queen passes to the Treasury. The government keeps the balance, which is about £320 million a year. We have the only self funded Head of State in the world, who also pays the taxpayers. The taxpayers fund trips undertaken by members of the Royal Family at the request of the government. There is always a good reason for such trips, especially when balanced against the amount of Crown income that the government keeps.
