  • In 1965, Queen Elizabeth II visited Germany for the first time. Twenty years after the end of the Second World War, this historically significant trip was a gesture of reconciliation. After the first visit, the British Queen and her court came to Germany periodically. Her final official visit took place in 2015, seven years before the Queen's death on September 8, 2022. In this episode of "History Stories," we take a look back at four of the late Queen’s state visits in five decades.
