About the Kink Whip: The 2022 Kink Whip BMX Bike takes things to the next level with components made from chromoly and every bearing being fully sealed for pro level strength and performance. The frame, forks, handlebars, and cranks are constructed out of 100% 4130 chromoly, the same material that can be found on top level bikes. Kink didn't stop there. They also included many other parts that can be ordered as aftermarket upgrades such as the Bold stem, Hemlocks, Nexus 25 tooth sprocket, and Duran stealth pivotal seat. It's hard to believe the price when seeing everything the Kink Whip comes with. - Розваги
I reached out to kink and they sold me a 2022 gloss black fade kink whip frame for $70!! I have some nice aftermarket parts ready to go on it!
I ride a local's Whip 20.5" often enough and he's a little bigger than me, too. Apart from the weight, which he cut right down with a set of Colony Sweet Tooth forks and some Grifter foldable tires, he's very satisfied with it and hasn't had any issues. Once he finds some more money, he's putting a set of matching chrome Sweet Tooth bars on it, too. Like Doug, it's hard to recommend any other BMX at full retail price. I've seen some exceptions but that's limited on-sale stock. On the other hand, if you have extra money to spend at the time of purchase, it's worth looking at something different than spending extra on new high-quality forks and bars as you'll most likely save some money overall. Look for a complete that features a 1-piece steerer tube fork and everything else on it will be above average quality.
Just got mine about a week ago. Very impressed with it as beginner.
The first good bike I bought was the 2018 Kink Gap in Lavender splatter, I still ride it today and bought it the summer kink started selling it. The only thing to go on that bike was the front hub stud from grinding, other than that it's solid and it looks like they've kept up with their bikes as well

I just ordered a Mankind Sunchaser for £390 in a sale. I looked for a kink whip but it's £600 in the UK. The mankind looks like its got a matching spec though which is cool for the price!

I personally own the Whip XL and I am a heavier rider, around 220lbs.
The only issue I've had with the bike so far is the sprocket bending, but that was when I was heavier and rode the bike pretty heavily.

Honestly love kink but they need to have more color ways for the Whip XL, just a plain black would be massive
What about the Kink Gap? Cheaper and the specs say only the brakes are an upgrade.
The kind gas has single wall rims and 50% hi tensile forks with a 50% hi tensile steel frame
@@zerostarinc so they word it funny to trick people. “100% 4130 chromoly tt, ht, and dt” meaning the UA-cam down tube and headstone are 100% chromoly, while the wishbone and seat tube are hi tensile steel

@@Dougsterbob because I run duel line desists on all my pro frame kinks(Williams,cloud, backwoods, contender(v1) and roll up, they all weigh in at 26 pounds on average, and yes they all are 4K builds a pop!
