Problems to look out for before buying: 1. Infotainment knob 2. Blower motor 3. Transfer case with transmission 4. Motor mounts 5. Normal maintenance items (spark plugs, air filter, brakes, etc)
I agree with you! The w212 (in my opinion) is the last standalone E-Class! It doesn't look like a big C-Class or a smaller S-Class! It is by FAR better looking than the 2021 version! The interior of the new ones are nice, but I definitely prefer the w212!
That’s right about the transfer case. It actually needs to be replaced WITH the transmission even if nothing is wrong with the transmission. Pretty hefty repair and you’ll know it’s going bad if you hear a clunking noise that seems to come from the passenger wheel area when slowing to a stop. It almost sounds like running something over as you stop. You may also hear a chirp that sort of sounds like it’s coming through the Air Conditioning system (but separate from that chirp that almost every one of these e classes eventually gets from the blower motor you mention in the video).
I'm a W124 proud owner. In the old days MB had the reputation of being reliable for a luxury car. Heard how W212 is reliable and am considering one now even tho I'm protective about their grill and headlights looks. Tail lights look wonderful and the MB hood ornament MUST be there. I always wanted MB to comeback to the scary looks like the facelift W124 that I have.
New subscription right here. Thanks for the info. The transmission has a life of its own.. you go from a full stop to rocket power within 2 seconds. By the way do not forget that the transmission “learns” your driving style so, if you have like battery problems and no backup power is adapted while changing the main battery, the car will literally “forget” your driving style and then will become like a car that just came out of the factory. It has to learn again
I own w212 for like 3 years, the thing i hate the most about it is the seat are not comfortable at all. Literally hurt my back and the car is stiff. Wind isolation is bad

The 2014 E550 had a factory option for 19" wheels so for your 2015 E class W212, look for the following: Tire Size: 8,5 J x 19 ET 48 Wheel Size: 245/35 R19 Thanks for subscribing!
I have 2015 w212 e350 and my transmission was replaced by warranty because it was shifting harsh. 2 years later brand new transmission experiences same thing. I guess these 7G transmissions suck
I have some questions about the coupe version E350 CDI: 1. How to tell the difference if the car has a regular or an air suspension? 2. Does the transmission have a manual mode, downshifts and upshifts with paddles or does it lock the gears?
Hey Deividas, i would suggest you look up the vin number of the vehicle to confirm. The air suspension was a factory option and is usually only on higher trims like the e550, as for the transmission, most of the e class models had the 7g tronic which does come with a manual mode/paddle shifters
Hey brother i want to change my steering wheel for my 2010 Mercedes benz e350 i have really ugly shape kind i need steering wheel of 2014 model can you suggest me where to buy and which one?
@@Azizdesign_ I’ve had a 2015 E550 for a couple of years now and the only thing you have to worry about is speeding tickets and the cost of tires. MB hasn’t changed much on the V8’s in many years just less displacement and turbos to increase efficiency. I drive like a German and get 11Litres/100km which is impressive. You should definitely consider a nice 550 if you can find one. They are a dieing breed.
Does anyone else’s car make a weird little noise when using the lever to shift to park or park to drive ? Only with the lever not while driving or actually switching real gears.
I have been looking at one particular 2011 one with low mileage, but man did you just say the seat are not real leather, I had no idea, a luxury car but the seats aren't real leather, this is a real deal breaker for me, wth man where is the luxury then, dissappointing

it comes in both air suspension and strut/spring assembly, but again depends on which options the initial owner opted for. In many cases, the E550 tends to have the air suspension and the E350 the spring/strut setup.

if you go inside the cabin - air suspension models will have a suspension adjustment(comfort vs sport) switch by center arm rest.
