    Homerun again, Beastie👊 ---- Yeah, looks like they went back to the (softer) 22 high back flex, just wonder why they made the straps so much more rigid on the sides like you pointed out 🤔--- I'm still kickin' (and sticking with) my 22 Atlas' (per your original reco) - - Just the perfect all-mtn binding 👌 Another stellar review, muchacho / Thanks for the (continual) content (ha, gets us all through the hot season)👏

    I have the previous model Atlas, i`m glad that they finally get rid of that wheel adjustment from highbacks but i don`t like that they`ve changed the flex 🤔

      I had to literally take a screwdriver to that wheel adjustment on mountain last season bc it was stuck in the all the way forward position 💀

    Great video, keep doing good job! What u recommend as a freeride/all-mtn binding? Thinking about Atlas, but not sure about "absorbing shocks". I'm riding bataleon camel 2+stiff boots, normally I use contact pro.

      Thanks. I would go with the new Force. It's a great step up from the Contact Pro and you get about the same cush/shock absorbent feel.

    Thanks again Beastie! Two questions: Is the Rome katana similar to Atlas or Force in terms of flex/response? Also, Are you going to be reviewing the new Katana pros?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  2 місяці тому

      Similar to both since both are similar in terms of flex and response. Katana highback is closer to Atlas but it's shock absorption is way better than the Atlas and still better than the Force. So is the flex underfoot. The Force and Atlas are more reliable and have better stance adjustability though.
      Sorry didn't get on Katana Pro's.

    Great video! Is it worth getting the new forces or stick with my atlas beyons medals edition? I have a super doa and a mega merc that i switch the binding around. Whats your take?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  2 місяці тому +1

      I think you might like the new Force's better if you want more shock absorption. If you don't feel like you need more stick with the Atlas.

      @@thegoodridesnow thanks for the input! I might put the forces on the SDOA and keep the Atlas on the mega!

    Seems like they've created an Atlas 'plus', by putting the old Falcor/Atlas Pro ankle straps on. I've gone for the original 'reverse mullet' Atlas of old. 2024 Atlas base, Strata team highback, new Force straps w/Atlas buckles. Pretty much a DiY Beyond Medals. I just wish they'd offer a disk with offset holes for the Channel mounting. I can't center my boot using the heelcup, so this rules out any Burton or Endeavor boards.

      Nice. I love that aspect about Union. So what size/make/model/year boot do you have and what size binder do you have?

    What do the dual washers on the Atlas models actually do compared to traditional washers?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  27 днів тому

      Do you mean the actual washers in the ankle strap attachment? Or the 2 screws per side connected to the heel loop?
      1. Dual Washers help the screws not come loose in the ankle strap/heel loop attachment but still allow you to easily move the straps up/down when getting in/out.
      2. The 2 Screws per side create redundancy so if your ankle strap/heel loop screw comes loose for some reason you still have a fixed heel loop. It's another reason I like The Force, Force Classic and Atlas.

      @@thegoodridesnow I'm talking about the mounting disk washers. The Atlas comes with Union's "dual washers" instead of traditional single washers found on every other binding to ever grace the face of the Earth.

      Oh sorry didn't see this reply. Oh just gives it a little better hold and make it easier to put on. I thought it was weird at first but now I really like em.

    Hello, do you think the new Union Force will fit the libtech ejack knife board? Or is Union Atlas better?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  6 днів тому

      That's a great fit as long as you buy the right size board and right size binding for your specs. Atlas is better for carving/keeping the edges damp and Force is much better for shock absorption and if you get air but not bad for carving either.
