Hey Joshua, digging the channel… I’m running a Hoyt Alpha X 33 in Wilderness, 29” / 62#, QAD Hoyt drop away rest, Spot Hogg pic sight, 6” Hoyt front stab w/ go sticks, 8” Hoyt rear bar… Hamskea Raptor peep,,, Easton Sonic 6 arrows, #23 dloop, Ultraview Button & Hinge 2… think I’m still punching the hinge but getting better. Takes practice!

Like the channel from first impressions. Hope to see content that will be helpful to myself and others that are fairly new (7 months here) and in the exploring what works best mode. Currently shooting a PSE Fortus 33. I probably enjoy building my own arrows better than shooting. Love the science involved, FOC… weight of the arrow, vane size etc. my fav shaft is the Easton Sonic 6.0. Very light shaft and cheep enough that you’re not devastated if you blow one up shooting a ground squirrel at 100yds in the middle of a pile of rocks at a TAC event. I’ve went from an index release to barrel (target panic city!!) to now shooting a resistance release (end of target panic). Still a learning curve for sure. Hopefully your channel will touch on things like this and delineate the pros and cons. Why each might help or hurt.. etc..
Anyway .. sorry for a War And Peace dissertation but really happy and hopeful your channel breaks the noms.

Similar to how I use one.
My click goes off when I hit all my anchors.
To start the shot process, I take my thumb off the peg, and basically touch my thumb and pinky together.
Do that and you will see how the finger want to rotate the hinge.
A good demonstration of this, by a far better archer than I would be watching any footage of Erika Anschutz/Jones.
The benefit of this is that you don’t feel the movement. Your hand structure makes that rotation happen without having to think about motion at all.
Its not tension so much, as just touching your thumb to your pinky.

Video idea - an explanation of proper nock fit, when there is a need to either change to a different nock and/or reserve the bowstring and, if necessary, how to remove and install a new center serving. I was listening to a podcast the other day and this topic came up and it was confusing to me. I also recall Chris Bee reserving a brand new bow string in one of his Mathews bow build videos. Thanks!

@@brandonsmith-er8ig depending on your specs on draw length, I’d say a bear legit would be a good bow if you’re looking for something to get you into shooting! For a release, on the cheap but quality side, the assassin from truball is a great wrist release!

2023 PSE Fortis 33 S2 60# 28,5" DL, upgraded with Titanium archery products rollerslide, stringstop and drawstop. Still on stock strings but already have Threadz custom strings.
For releases I run Stan Onnex, a resistance for training and in the field a Clicker and a backup Clicker set as a regular Thumb button.
Hamskea Trinity (hunter pro with the launcher overmolding replaced with bandaid tape)
Hamskea insight peep with, depending on light the 3 biggest aperture in the kit.
Spot Hogg Hogg Father with a LE Matte Black UV3 scope. With, depending on which kind of competition a 0.019 double pin, or a 0.019 or 0.010 single pin cartridge with a 3x Specialty Archery Excalibur lens.
For stabs I run a 12" side bar with 10 ounces, and depending on which use, a 28" with 6 or a 15" with 8 ounces in the lower bushing. All three are Avalon Tec x Maxx.
Running the stock lower dampener in the regular stab bushing holding my Easton stiffy wrist sling.
Shooting Black Eagle Rampage 350/0.001 at 27" with 2.1" Q2i fusion vanes with a slight offset. Beiter Hunter 204 nock. Stock 50gr insert and 100gr Saunders Combo field point. Total weight 410gr.
Bow does 281 fps with them.
For indoor Easton x23 2315, 27" 120gr pro point 4 fletch Bohning zen vanes also running Beiter hunter nocks 245. 550-ish grain, no idea what speed (it's indoor.....)
It's a mouthful, but I think I covered it all.
