Thank you ! I know nothing about bows or archery and watched 20 videos and still didn't understand wtf they were talking about or how they fired the arrow. You explained it in the first 10 seconds. Great video.

Excellent video bro. I watched 7 videos before yours trying to understand how these releases work and didn't understand a thing until I watched this! Perfectly informative and exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

Thank you so much for making this video! I'm new to archery in the last 6 or 7 months, and have been dead-lucky enough to have been regularly shooting with one of the top compound archers in my country. He has taught me a tremendous amount about the sport and technique, but your explaination in regards to using a "back tension" release is about 100 times easier to understand, and I'm going to tell him! Haha. Keep throwing up content, you're an excellent coach!

Best explanation I've heard. Been bow hunting for 20 years and just picked up used the other day. This really broke it down. Much thanks

Hey Jimi, I have been shooting compound for 2 years now, never went to a club or had any coaching, all learned from youtube (nearest club is 2 hours drive away). Last weekend I did that drive to the nearest club, thinking in two years of solo learning must have picked up some bad habits, it would be good to have a lesson. Actually, I was not as bad as I thought I was, but the best thing I have picked up is that I need a new release. Been looking at thumb and backtension releases for 2 days now. Your explanation of back tension is by fat the best I have found in 6 hours off googling. Thank you so much for that. Keep up the good work. You are a saviour to punters like me who live in the sticks.

Bruh, this is an awesome video. I learned a lot after a shitty day in the office. Seriously, very well done.

Great video on a subject that seems confusing. True back tension seems to be too unstable for me, when I learned to rotate my release things improved. Good ability to instruct, great demeanor.

Thanks for that. I've only always tried one style and was no good at it so went to a trigger release. I'll try the other two styles and see if I can improve on the back tension.

That was a good real world explanation. I didn’t know you really release with some part of your fingers. Or a tilting affect
