Hi guys. Just a correction. I wasn’t kicked out of Reform, I decided several years ago that I would not stand for Reform again. They had no candidate until the Tory candidate defected to them a few weeks before the nominations closed. I announced I was standing as an independent 15 months ago. 👍👍
Guys let this comment be seen.
Thanks for clarifying, Nick.
Nick, get your people into the lifeboats. The territory is lost.
America and Australia are the lifeboats. Form enclaves. Become a diaspora. Your grandchildren can take it all back; but you can't. All you can do is build the foundation that whatever comes next has the chance of being built upon.
Hand down your armor and your swords to those who may have a chance to use it.
I am the son of an Englishman. I love England in a way that only an expat can ever do. I have perspective that you can never have. Your job is to keep the embers alive. One day they'll light a fire.

As a Canadian, this comment offends me because it is 100% true, lol, sigh.....
@@MykeLewisMusic You do have hope for the future, if the polls are right. The UK is just starting down the dark road of authoritative socialism.

This is not something you can vote your way out of.
This actually BAFFLES me. The UK is the ONLY country without a right-wing MAGA / populist surge in the West.

Correct. It's a clear vote of no confidence.

Call me naive but as democracy is under siege the first thing to do for the average citizen ist to effing vote. Yes, I know, more often than not it is just a choice between bad and worse - yet we all agree democracy cannot work without people voting.
@@ralfkohler3671Voting for "bad or worse" is not the solution, unless there is a good reason for people to vote then why would they?
Democracy has failed the common man, it doesn't work as a system currently.
Why? Silence means assent. If they couldn’t be bothered voting, they must be satisfied with who’s running the place.

FREEDOM!
That does come across as true.
I've just been watching Niall McConnell's live stream and about 50'000 people are currently on the streets of Dublin right now to protest the invasion that's currently happening in this country it makes me proud to see that so many Irish patriots are out on the streets standing up against this
Similarly aghast that the English meanwhile do nothing!
I saw it too. What a contrast to the English local election outcomes and Muslims' subsequent 19 demands to the Labour Party.
@@j4cksincl4ir Maybe they look over here and see themselves in 10 years if they don't act now
*_We, The English, need to grow an 'Irish backbone' extremely rapidly ..._*
Personally, I think it's because of the population difference. They hit Ireland with a huge amount suddenly, while the rest of the UK were like the slowly boiling frog. When we realised it was a problem it was beyond fixing.
The danger of this is that Labour will believe the people genuinely back their psychotic diversity.
Oh, they very much do.
Worse still are their voters, who genuinely see all this as an endorsement for Labour.
I ventured into the bears den that is BBC News "Have Your Say" to point out to some of them that often times Labour were winning seats with fewer votes than they had last time when they lost to the Convervatives, and outside of that almost always won with fewer seats than the Conservatives had won with last time (when we were all already getting a bit disillusioned with them.)
They did not take it well.
If you are of the Accelerationist persuasion, perhaps that's a good thing; let the people see these psychophants run their government unfettered. Might get some hesitant people to actively consider that voting isn't going to fix these problems.
Nah, Labour actually knows what power is. They don't care whether people back them or not.
They will 100% take it that way
The one scenario where it could be quite disastrous is if Labour’s majority is absolute , I.e. 450 seats or more. They’d then be big enough for their left flank to potentially splinter into the second biggest party, which would be a radical shift in the Overton window. Until then, Kier seems competent enough to slap down the woke crazies.
I notice the Muslims have made a list of 19 demands. I imagine the Tories will lap it up.
These demands won't be met so it is the pretext of Muslim's founding their own party, which will secretly receive funding from Turkey and the Gulf States.
I only have 1 mass deport those who hate us.
What are these 19 demand?

All in the slammer.
Reform didn't stand in most of the council areas, none in my area, turnout was 27% across the country, 73% didn't vote. London mayor elections, only 40% voted, Khan got 43% of that 40%, which means only about 18% of people voted for him. Most people don't vote.

Surely 50+% of London aren't eligible to vote?
When the choice is between shit and shit, there is no choice. This is by design, actual democracy is too unstable to be competitive
That's a side effect of multiculturalism, less civic engagement
As much as I hate being forced by law to vote (with a passion), I have to say, I think this is why the Australian system does keep our politicians (largely) in check. They know every single adult in the country will be voting so if they do anything too crazy or against the majority's wishes they'll be slammed come election time. Our conservative party is still largely conservative because of this. And our Labor party can't get away with too much commie sh- because the backlash will immediately take them out. I still hate mandatory voting... but it seems to work a bit better at stemming the authoritarianism of the elites 🤷♀️
Enoch Powell gets my vote
I am 60. I have voted at every election Since I was 18…except this one. However I or the silent majority vote, nothing I care about will be fixed. The same people get in, nothing changes. The Tories had a majority government and fixed nothing, built nothing, resolved nothing and left every working person in the country poorer. Councils by contrast should not be about politics, they should be about community needed services. I live in Birmingham, well Sutton Coldfield to distance myself from this car crash and still have to pay Birmingham council tax. Last thing Birmingham needs is a f#cking mayor …
When reform backed woke and WEF was the day I knew this country would burn first.
So here in Canada, we're a little bit further along this curve than you guys. Trudeau has been in office for 9 years now, and we've had 3 Conservative party leaders lose election to him in that time. Stephen Harper, the former Prime Minister and incumbent who lost to Trudeau in 2015. Followed by Andrew Scheer and Erin O'Toole who led the Conservative party (and lost to Trudeau) in the following two elections. It's widely accepted among Conservatives that Scheer and O'Toole probably lost because they tried to court the centre while abandoning their Conservative base. They did things like grovel any time the left accused them or racism, sexism, whateverism, banishing party members who did or said anything remotely "right-wing" and generally trying to "out-woke" the Liberal party, hoping it would win them the centrist swing-vote.
This obviously killed any enthusiasm among their base and worse, they now had this fledgling "People's Party" on their right flank acting as a pressure release valve for Conservative voters who felt the Conservative party was no longer right-wing enough for them. And in the last election, the Conservatives hemorrhaged enough support to that People's Party to cost them the election. The people's Party didn't win a single seat (and never will). They just spoiled enough seats for the Conservative party to hand Trudeau re-election.
But now we've got this guy Pierre Poilievre leading the Conservative party and this guy is unapologetically right wing. He's openly insolent towards the media, he never apologizes for anything and he never backs down. And this guy is blowing the other parties out of the water in the polls. The pollsters are projecting a >99% chance he'll win a majority in next year's election.
What he's doing differently than both his predecessors and the UK's "Conservative" party is that he's standing his ground and not being bullied into submission by the woke establishment. On the contrary, he was just endorsed by Alex Jones, was attacked for it by the media, had Trudeau demand in the house of commons that he disavow Alex jones. And Poilievre, instead of groveling like his predecessors would have, just laughed it off. Attacks of these sorts keep coming at him and not only do they not hurt his polling numbers, they're consistently BOOSTING his numbers because they're opportunities for him to tell the woke establishment to go f**k themselves. And people love that. It projects strength.
Strength is the most attractive quality you can look for in a political leader. Nobody votes for weakness. There's a lesson for the UK's Conservative party unfolding in Canada right now before their very eyes. They need to stop groveling to the wok mob and start telling them to go f**k themselves. Look at Canada's example. Doing so inspires and galvanizes your base.
On policy PP isn't even that right-wing, especially immigration, but the personality is enough to sell it.
As a voter who "haemorrhaged" to PPC, it was 100% a manifesto based decision for me, O Toole led a conservative manifesto that was identical to the Liberal and NDP, PPC manifesto was not extreme, it was sensible and would've likely saved Canada from the mess it's currently in, but unfortunately Canada is full of voters who prioritize ignorance, smugness and self aggrandizement over self preservation, inquiry and humility. As an ex-brit in exile here, be careful of idolizing a smart talking leader and always look at the fine print, this goes for PP and Reform too...
@@jonathanhole8240 Ok no offense, but you're not in a position to call voters "ignorant" for not voting for your party, while in the same breath confessing that you haven't even read the party platforms.
You're just calling the LPC and CPC "identical" because you're a single issue (immigration) voter and the CPC wouldn't commit to ending mass immigration like the PPC does.
Equally ignorant is thinking you could end mass immigration even if you wanted to without totally collapsing the economy overnight. Read up on how the pension system works. It's a pyramid scheme. The second population growth halts, the entire pension system, followed by the entire economy, collapses like a house of cards. What measures did Bernier promise you to avert this collapse when he cut mass immigration in half?
That's right. None at all. Do you suppose that's because he, like you, doesn't understand immigration as an economic issue? Or is it because in promising to end mass immigration, he knows he's making empty promises he'll never have to keep (because he'll never get elected), and he's only saying these things to keep people like you mailing those sweet donation cheques in?
+93 independents is HUGE win, and a genuinely positive sign, lets keep this trend going and get the bought and paid for parties out of politics,

Were the independents progressive, conservative, libertarian or islamist?
Be careful with independents.
Many of them are genuine islamists.
@@Jackaljkljkl I understand a lot of them were actually Islamists unfortunately - so not different from party politics really when the Imams are telling people who to vote for - party politics in all but name. To be fair its not like those islamist independents dont represent the true beliefs of the people who voted for them...

Shouldn't have given up your guns, when the ballot box doesn't work the ammo box is your last resort.
Brought it on themselves lol.
It's changed now to 1 seat. We want just 1 of them sitting there all by themselves 😂
1 is too many.
They can all get real jobs, or sit in Tory HQ and reflect on why they have Zero Seats.
It's a foreign franchise for foreign people and native Brits aren't even recognised nor are their concerns and wants respected so why vote and consent to it?
It's quite funny in a way: the population doesn't want socialism as a whole but in the same time doesn't invest itself in local politics to prevent socialist policies being enacted next to them. It's epic passivity.
bring back the king
long live monarchy
In my area it was a 23% turnout. We had Labour and greens running trans women (neither looked like women whatsoever). Tories, Lib dems didn't even bother posting leaflets. Reformuk didn't run and the socialists workers party was basically two people sat with a wallpapering table in front of them, sat alone near Aldis. I'd love to get the 23% in a room and ask them why even bother with the rubbish on offer.
Personally I think we need a Labour government and have that 'Canada' style wokeness to finally get the public off their backsides and motivated politically. Seriously I would happily fund a ground roots working class right wing party if it was organised and got onto the streets of working class areas. Reformuk isn't it, it's full of tory and Labour rejects.
You should have a look at thr Homeland Party or the National Distributist Party
ZERO SEATS 👏 👏 ZERO SEATS 👏 👏 ZERO SEATS 👏 👏 ZERO SEATS 👏 👏 ZERO SEATS 👏 👏 ZERO SEATS 👏 👏 ZERO SEATS 👏 👏
The UK is a lost godless nation.
Vote for anyone but the uniparty. Reform, Reclaim, UKIP, SDP, take your pick. Doesn't matter, just vote! If you give up, we've lost.
I'm rather uneducated in British politics, but the results outlined here look very much like a significant number of people are just giving up.
I would say you're correct. The general election is yet to come, this is when we elect candidates for Houses of Parliament.
This is going to be a blood bath for everyone not in the Labour party, contrast that to 2019 when we all voted sweeping Conservative. It never ends.
If only there was some kind of British National Party 🤣
Zero seats! Zero seats! Zero seats!
The headof Reform destoyed any chance they had.
The Tories should go the way of the equally useless Rinos of America
No taxation without representation! Wait... why does that sound familiar...
Looks like the EU was definitely your obstacle to cracking down on immigration.
People wonder why politics is becoming more and more radical while the center is entirely complacent and uncaring. If the extremes are the only people who come out to vote it's no shock the major parties play to those audiences
Zero seats! Zero seats!
We honestly need a modern day British Andrew Jackson to just come in and upturn the whole system.
We are so cooked.
This is our own fault, we need to mobilise and encourage each other to vote and talk about this despite how boring it may be.
My friend and I used to argue about politics until one day recently I called him out for complaining but never doing anything about it. Not campaigning, going door to door n drumming up support for his beliefs and we came to the conclusion we're going to do it ourselves.
We've started planning solutions, how to build a community, how to get people on side, writing policies, speeches and honestly I've never felt more hopeful for the future.
It may take us a few years since we're working this out whilst working our regular jobs but every great journey starts with a single step n all that.
We can make a difference, we can be the change and you can too.
No don't encourage them to vote, encourage them to WIN!
Yeah, sure. More democracy is going to solve problems caused by that political system.
@@MarktheRude What would you suggest as an alternative?
@@dannygrover595 End democracy.
@@MarktheRude And replace it with?
o.o RIGHT-WING ECONOMIC REFORMS WILL HURT AT FIRST (like low taxes, yeeting all tax funded Govt schemes)
But in the long run, most people will become too rich to be dependent on PARTY in GOVT.
Liz Truss demonstrated who is in charge. Democracy is toast.
In fairness the British people did think they were repeatedly voting for a right-wing conservative party, but they were deceived. At least most people realise, there just needs to be something to fill the void.
So what would happen if voter turnout got so low as to delegitimise the system?
Just totally ignore them.
Whatever they say is not relevant.
@@NPC-st7zv But is that sustainable? And if it is, what do you think we should do about it?
Nothing. What does apathy of the cattle matter to the owner of a slaughterhouse?
@@brandonatchison4769 Not sure what would happen, but it would write a clear message.
Had to censor for YT.
Hypothetically, could the lack of legitimacy be used to justify taking ac*ion. Could An*mal F*rm be a possible outcome?
