Yes, without a doubt Pastor Cliffe is a very gifted man of God that clearly communicates with sincere conviction and humility.I attended his church for the first time on Easter Sunday 2016. I continue to attend "religiously" because I have never before witnessed a preacher deliver biblical inspiration in a manner that is easily understood and makes me truly desire to live a Christian principled life. I've met with him. He is very direct and has given me good reason to learn about and to strengthen my faith. His son's are following in his footsteps and are also tremendous shepherds of his growing flock.

The girl mentions Jeremiah 29:11 and suggests that God has plans for us. The problem is that she is not using that passage in context. God didn't give that promise to everyone, it was specifically for those in exile. That promise was part of a letter. You have to go back to verse 1 to read who the promises are for.

Fourteen years ago, I was fairly a new born again and started the journey from there. There became a time where I actually fasted for 7days (only water) with a brethren from my church. We had men's fellowship and we were praying deeply in the gifts of tongues. Suddenly during prayer I heard the Lord call out to me in an audible voice but my mind thinking it was one of the men praying but the voice was saying my name but I said nothing because I didn't know what to say? It repeated called my name. I quickly stopped and opened my eyes to see if was one of the men so I looked around and did 360 degree and noticed all the men were still praying. That was the only time I ever received an audible voice from God. I found out that fasting and praying was the key to hearing from God apart from his word the holy bible but for some reason I got too comfortable in church and never tried it again. I still don't know why I never hunger to do it again? For me I was content with what I had which was the love of God. Evidence surely will be definitive Lets look at languages which are known to evolve through time by common descent. Language groups have unique regional characteristics such as latin groups and asian groups structure differently. (Are you well? or Well, are you?) Animal groups such as marsupial mammals in Australia all have pouches and is explained by common descent in exactly the same way. You know a couple of weeks ago my religion professor raised a very interesting question: Is is hard for someone to become a christian in a postmodern world? i think these discussion help a lot in the times we are living not only for skeptics, but also for us Christians.
It's amazing how Cliffe totally avoided the question from the 1st student. It's a good question, from a Christian "why is only Christianity right, and the rest of religion is wrong?". What Cliffe should do is demonstrating the rightfulness of Christianity and explaining the wrongfulness of other religions. Instead, he weirdly put up money, as a god (!?), and criticized the idolization of money, which is totally irrelevant, and then at the end turned back into relationships (supposedly with God and Jesus) and "how you suppose to be charitable, and do good things for people", as if Jesus is the one that taught human beings all of that. I've noticed on all or most of these videos that these kids are kind of obsessed with homosexuality. When I was in that age bracket my friends and circles never really spoke or thought about it or were tormented about it......just an observation in these videos it's a huge issue with these kids. I think the media/teachers have programmed these kids and even young Christians that if you just disagree with the lifestyle that you are a bigot or a hateful person....pretty sad
The church’s position on homosexuality stands out as a huge moral failure on the church’s part. It’s easy to see why murder and theft are sin but homosexuality makes no sense to be objectionable to sensible people and yet it has some weird spotlight in Christian ethics. And when met with a weak arbitrary “because that’s what god designed and his purpose” it only makes the youth doubt more. It’s exactly this failure of explanation that is turning the youth away from the church. Evidence is something expected on a hypothesis. On the hypothesis “the Bible is true” we’d not expect it to get things wrong as it’s supposedly divinely inspired. If it’s wrong on homosexuality then it’s not some divine work. So the students are just taking an obvious moral incorrectness and attacking it. The pastor here also just doesn’t grasp the arguments made. People don’t say “it’s natural therefore good” they say “it’s natural” as a counter to the explanation that it’s wrong being “it’s unnatural.” So we need an explanation why it’s wrong because it’s not due to the traditional answer which was “it’s not natural.” We now know that’s false. So why is it bad?

Fred Pickles Not quite. I have many reasons to disbelieve the Bible. It claims that Jesus turned water into wine and he had no earthly father and he rose bodily from the dead. These things are so close to impossible that I cannot pretend to think they happened for real. These records are written decades after the 'fact'. The author, or authors are anonymous. They were written in Greek. Claims made with no evidence should be dismissed immediately. Big claims require good evidence. These stories are easily understood by errors through 'chinese whispers". If the Bible says 'Heli begat Joseph, I have no reason to believe or to doubt. If the Bible says ''God took a rib from Adam; a serpent in the garden; the waters parted, etc. I have a duty to my sanity to suspect its accuracy.

I read the Gospels of the accounts of Jesus Christ and I could find no fault. You have the same problem we all have. Talking serpents and mules and guys walking on water and raising people from the dead? Sounds like a lot bologna even to Christians. But after studying these 66 books that spanned thousands of years and from Book number 1, when God saw man degenerating into what we are now and said He would send someone to correct all of it, it hasn't failed. Questioner says every other option to Christ hasn't been explored. Well, there's only two kinds of religions in the world. All of the world religions say: "Do". But Jesus says, "Done!" They looked forward to the redeemer in faith, and we look back to Him in faith. That is what it comes down to. I hate no one, but sin is sin. There is nothing wrong with being same sex attracted, but there is a lot wrong with saying that preference is who you are & therefore you are justified to follow that preference. You made one part of yourself your entire identity. That is dangerous. Imagine you lost that drive or the ability to express it. What does that do to who you are? It is crushing. What if that identity was your job or financial stability? What happens when you lose the job? What happens when your finances reverse? You have placed who you are in a finite thing that can be ripped from your hands at any moment. You are you then? Lost & odds are looking to end it to avoid the crisis. You are not your sexuality or a job, but a person made in God's image. That cannot be taken unless you give it up, that is a major difference. You can lose a sex drive or a job or security, but not God. Note I said God, not religion. I place who I am in something outside myself that is eternal. Because of that, who I am is safe. It doesn't magically fix all my problems, but it does let me know I am not my circumstances.

True, but why would He just repeat something from Psalms without any purpose to it? Was He doubting God? I don't think so, so I sort of agree with you. I think He was showing that He had become sin and the curse and the Father could not look upon Him. A better example of doubt would be John the Baptist when He sent his messengers to Jesus asking if he was the promised messiah. He cried that so that those who knew the Psalm would know He was fulfilling the promise. Look how the chapter ends. Pepe Melo Agreed Pepe, but He also used many scriptures from Psalms and the other old testament books to prove who He was. The Father had to abandon Him on the cross and let Him die. He made it clear that the Father could send angels to protect Him if he wanted to. But at Christ's death He was alone. Religious books are basically books on ethical concepts of early man trying to establish some type of order in their societies. Most cultures attributed this inspiration of moral ethics to a supreme being of a mythical realm.
What you consider mythical is subjective, why is your judgement reliable? You have no reason to think you are more enlightened than historical figures because someone invented technology and gave it to you.

One subject I see where Cliff repeatedly loses some of his umfff passion is homosexuality. Leviticus does not mention homosexuality at all -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Even if it did, _very few people alive today are Levites,_ so it wouldn't apply to you and me anyway. Genesis does not state that marriage is for one man and one woman -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Romans does not mention homosexuals at all -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Corinthians does not mention homosexuals at all. Timothy doesn't mention homosexuals at all. The Bible does not state anywhere that homosexuality could somehow be a sin or could somehow be against God's plan for sexuality -- not in any chapter, not in any verse: Being gay is _not_ a sin.
God transcends all limitation. Why not put your faith in something unseen all powerful all knowing all loving. He is truth. There is no lie in him. Live for something unseen? People cannot understand such a thing. But if you believe you are called. And if you receive you are chosen.

The proof of the existence of the Christian God is that without Him (assuming existence with Him absent) you cannot make sense of reason, logic, rationality, science or human experience. It is a transcendental proof. The evidence is of the impossibility of the contrary.
Evidence is interpreted. Using the underlying beliefs held by the interpreter it is possible to use evidence to come to different conclusions. That does not mean that all conclusions are true. It means that the underlying beliefs need to be recognized, acknowledged and understood. EX: An atheist may hold to a naturalistic worldview, that only things in nature can/do exist. All evidence would be interpreted using that underlying presupposition. The theist may hold to a supernaturalistic worldview, that things outside of nature can/do exist. All evidence would be interpreted using that underlying presupposition. So the underlying beliefs must then be grappled with, debated, tested for logical consistency and then reasonable conclusions about each belief system can rightly be understood. Should either system be found to be irrational or subjective, possibly being inconsistent or internally incoherent then continued adherence to those systems would be an abandonment of reason on the part of that person.
Fruit of Repentance is the proof of ones salvation and total belief and being in a true relationship with Jesus Christ our creator in heaven, not evidence that is found by man.

The girl mentions Jeremiah 29:11 and suggests that God has plans for us. The problem is that she is not using that passage in context. God didn't give that promise to everyone, it was specifically for those in exile. That promise was part of a letter. You have to go back to verse 1 to read who the promises are for.

Cliffe I would like to share my testimony about the audible part from God. Fourteen years ago, I was fairly a new born again and started the journey from there. There became a time where I actually fasted for 7days (only water) with a brethren from my church. We had men's fellowship and we were praying deeply in the gifts of tongues. Suddenly during prayer I heard the Lord call out to me in an audible voice but my mind thinking it was one of the men praying but the voice was saying my name but I said nothing because I didn't know what to say? It repeated called my name. I quickly stopped and opened my eyes to see if was one of the men so I looked around and did 360 degree and noticed all the men were still praying.
That was the only time I ever received an audible voice from God. I found out that fasting and praying was the key to hearing from God apart from his word the holy bible but for some reason I got too comfortable in church and never tried it again. I still don't know why I never hunger to do it again? For me I was content with what I had which was the love of God.
I may still rebel against our Lord and savior, however, one thing for sure is the lord knows all and sees all :)

Lets look at languages which are known to evolve through time by common descent. Language groups have unique regional characteristics such as latin groups and asian groups structure differently. (Are you well? or Well, are you?) These distinct geographical features result from common descent which can be tracked through history.
Animal groups such as marsupial mammals in Australia all have pouches and is explained by common descent in exactly the same way. This biogeography cannot be predicted or expected by special design theory.
I am happy to discuss genetics of apes which biologists agree share a common ancestor with humans. I have seen data misrepresented to undermine science and I will not be persuaded by cherry picking the data to lead to different conclusions than what scientists already understand. The human chromosome #2 is the result of chromosomal fusion in an ancestor as they are separate in all other great apes.

It's amazing how Cliffe totally avoided the question from the 1st student. It's a good question, from a Christian "why is only Christianity right, and the rest of religion is wrong?". What Cliffe should do is demonstrating the rightfulness of Christianity and explaining the wrongfulness of other religions.
Instead, he weirdly put up money, as a god (!?), and criticized the idolization of money, which is totally irrelevant, and then at the end turned back into relationships (supposedly with God and Jesus) and "how you suppose to be charitable, and do good things for people", as if Jesus is the one that taught human beings all of that. I've noticed on all or most of these videos that these kids are kind of obsessed with homosexuality. When I was in that age bracket my friends and circles never really spoke or thought about it or were tormented about it......just an observation in these videos it's a huge issue with these kids. I think the media/teachers have programmed these kids and even young Christians that if you just disagree with the lifestyle that you are a bigot or a hateful person....pretty sad
The church’s position on homosexuality stands out as a huge moral failure on the church’s part. It’s easy to see why murder and theft are sin but homosexuality makes no sense to be objectionable to sensible people and yet it has some weird spotlight in Christian ethics. And when met with a weak arbitrary “because that’s what god designed and his purpose” it only makes the youth doubt more. It’s exactly this failure of explanation that is turning the youth away from the church. Evidence is something expected on a hypothesis. On the hypothesis “the Bible is true” we’d not expect it to get things wrong as it’s supposedly divinely inspired. If it’s wrong on homosexuality then it’s not some divine work. So the students are just taking an obvious moral incorrectness and attacking it.
The pastor here also just doesn’t grasp the arguments made. People don’t say “it’s natural therefore good” they say “it’s natural” as a counter to the explanation that it’s wrong being “it’s unnatural.” So we need an explanation why it’s wrong because it’s not due to the traditional answer which was “it’s not natural.” We now know that’s false. So why is it bad?

Not quite. I have many reasons to disbelieve the Bible. It claims that Jesus turned water into wine and he had no earthly father and he rose bodily from the dead. These things are so close to impossible that I cannot pretend to think they happened for real. These records are written decades after the 'fact'. The author, or authors are anonymous. They were written in Greek. Claims made with no evidence should be dismissed immediately. Big claims require good evidence. These stories are easily understood by errors through 'chinese whispers". If the Bible says 'Heli begat Joseph, I have no reason to believe or to doubt. If the Bible says ''God took a rib from Adam; a serpent in the garden; the waters parted, etc. I have a duty to my sanity to suspect its accuracy.

I read the Gospels of the accounts of Jesus Christ and I could find no fault. You have the same problem we all have. Talking serpents and mules and guys walking on water and raising people from the dead? Sounds like a lot bologna even to Christians.
But after studying these 66 books that spanned thousands of years and from Book number 1, when God saw man degenerating into what we are now and said He would send someone to correct all of it, it hasn't failed.

Questioner says every other option to Christ hasn't been explored. Well, there's only two kinds of religions in the world. All of the world religions say: "Do". But Jesus says, "Done!" On the cross He said, "It is finished." Nobody spoke like Christ before Him, and nobody has disputed Him after the fact. All of history hinges on the cross. They looked forward to the redeemer in faith, and we look back to Him in faith. And without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

That is what it comes down to. I hate no one, but sin is sin. There is nothing wrong with being same sex attracted, but there is a lot wrong with saying that preference is who you are & therefore you are justified to follow that preference. You made one part of yourself your entire identity. That is dangerous.
Imagine you lost that drive or the ability to express it. What does that do to who you are? It is crushing. What if that identity was your job or financial stability? What happens when you lose the job? What happens when your finances reverse?
You have placed who you are in a finite thing that can be ripped from your hands at any moment. You are you then? Lost & odds are looking to end it to avoid the crisis.
You are not your sexuality or a job, but a person made in God's image. That cannot be taken unless you give it up, that is a major difference. You can lose a sex drive or a job or security, but not God. Note I said God, not religion.
I place who I am in something outside myself that is eternal. Because of that, who I am is safe. It doesn't magically fix all my problems, but it does let me know I am not my circumstances.

When Christ says "my God my God" it is in reference to Psalms 22. Not because He doubted the plan of God. He knew it from the start.
True, but why would He just repeat something from Psalms without any purpose to it? Was He doubting God? I don't think so, so I sort of agree with you. I think He was showing that He had become sin and the curse and the Father could not look upon Him. A better example of doubt would be John the Baptist when He sent his messengers to Jesus asking if he was the promised messiah. He was one person you would never think would have doubt, but he is the greatest prophet according to Christ and he still had his moment of doubt. God Bless.

He cried that so that those who knew the Psalm would know He was fulfilling the promise. Look how the chapter ends. (Psalm 22: 29-31)

Religious books are basically books on ethical concepts of early man trying to establish some type of order in their societies. Most cultures attributed this inspiration of moral ethics to a supreme being of a mythical realm.
What you consider mythical is subjective, why is your judgement reliable? You have no reason to think you are more enlightened than historical figures because someone invented technology and gave it to you.

One subject I see where Cliff repeatedly loses some of his umfff passion is homosexuality. _very few people alive today are Levites,_ so it wouldn't apply to you and me anyway. Genesis does not state that marriage is for one man and one woman -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Romans does not mention homosexuals at all -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Corinthians does not mention homosexuals at all. Timothy doesn't mention homosexuals at all.
The Bible does not state anywhere that homosexuality could somehow be a sin or could somehow be against God's plan for sexuality -- not in any chapter, not in any verse:
Being gay is _not_ a sin.
God transcends all limitation. Why not put your faith in something unseen all powerful all knowing all loving. He is truth. There is no lie in him. Live for something unseen? People cannot understand such a thing. But if you believe you are called. And if you receive you are chosen.
Are these people actually arguing which god is real? WHICH ONE?? He also doesn't define what he means by god, he changes his implication about 7 or 8 times.

The proof of the existence of the Christian God is that without Him (assuming existence with Him absent) you cannot make sense of reason, logic, rationality, science or human experience. It is a transcendental proof. The evidence is of the impossibility of the contrary.
Evidence is interpreted. Using the underlying beliefs held by the interpreter it is possible to use evidence to come to different conclusions. That does not mean that all conclusions are true. It means that the underlying beliefs need to be recognized, acknowledged and understood. EX: An atheist may hold to a naturalistic worldview, that only things in nature can/do exist. All evidence would be interpreted using that underlying presupposition. The theist may hold to a supernaturalistic worldview, that things outside of nature can/do exist. All evidence would be interpreted using that underlying presupposition. So the underlying beliefs must then be grappled with, debated, tested for logical consistency and then reasonable conclusions about each belief system can rightly be understood. Should either system be found to be irrational or subjective, possibly being inconsistent or internally incoherent then continued adherence to those systems would be an abandonment of reason on the part of that person.
