- Keith Tipton/Law Enforcement: College of Western Idaho
Keith Tipton from Boise always wanted to serve his community and decided he wanted to be a law enforcement officer. Impressed with the instructors at the College of Western Idaho, Keith decided to attend the Law Enforcement courses held in Nampa. The Law Enforcement program helps students get the training they need to succeed and the knowledgeable instructors help the students land a first job. Tipton also underwent a life changing transformation that helped him succeed in the program and earn the respect of his fellow students.
Journey to Career follows students now attending a technical school in Idaho. This is 6 in-their-own-words segments. We find out what drove them to a technical college instead of a 4-year university. In many cases we find out that these technical school students tried traditional 4-year universities. But then found they preferred a more hands on approach.
