I filmed this last night and have since finished more of the side content and quests. My opinion is unchanged. It's a very low effort DLC, and calling it an expansion is a stretch, especially when considering the competition like Shadow of the Erdtree, Phantom Liberty, or even Far Harbor. I don't know how this took them a YEAR to make, and charging $30 is only a good value when you remember they charge $5-$7 for individual quest DLCs through 'Creations.' Some people are claiming there are 2 new habs and at least one new follower to be found, but I haven't gotten any of it to work for me. I don't know if this is a bug or if they're just mistaken about those being in the DLC. Regardless, it's clearly not a major part of the DLC if there's debate about their existence, even for those who have finished it. But don't just believe me, check out their own Subreddit and see what Starfield fans are saying about it: www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/1ftf9rw/this_is_a_surprisingly_lukewarm_reaction_to/
I prepaid for Starfield and haven’t even played any missions after the Ryujin quest line and the main mission. Once I passed through unity I simply lost interest. Been trying to force myself to get at least 90 hrs out of it but sigh….I digress, kinda happy I watched this and don’t feel bad about not playing Shattered Space. I actually took off yesterday and forgot why so I played Kenshi.
I'm really surprised that no one ever talked about the fact that anyone that says anything "not good" at the official reddit starfield community get their post deleted, as we have seen at the post mentioned.
Until Bethesda has a change in its staff, we can expect more of this going forward. I never thought I would say this, but I'm not that excited for TES6 anymore.
To be fair, if it was an actual base game faction questline you'd have spent five minutes on the actual planet and the rest of the quests going to random space battles and empty fishbowls.
@@randybutternub031 If it was included in the basegame it'd have followed the basegame design philosophy. The DLC at least provides an actually self-contained custom built worldspace rather than a chain of radient locations in empty fishbowls, and that kind of curated worldspace was one of the things Starfield's basegame had a lack of. Starfield would have been a better game if all the main cities were built like this DLC, rather than being basically placed in the middle of proc-gen'd nonsense and constantly directing you to leave the city to jump through five loading screens just to explore more nonsense. This DLC doesn't fix Starfield (which is what a lot of people wanted), but it is an interesting glimpse into what Starfield probably should have been built like in the first place.
@@toshtao1 Starfield is bigger of the wrong stuff, it’s bigger in emptiness rather than substance. No one complain that the map of Zelda or Elden ring is big af, neither in Baldur’s gate or spiderman, Ubisoft has goergous and large cities too and it’s the strenght of their games. Novigrade back in 2015 was beautiful to simply walk through, and this city alone is cleaner, has more personality and is better achieved than all of Starfield city combined 8 years later. Was Novigrade fully functionnal ? No, but it give a beautiful background for your activities and gives the illusion that the world is actually alive, and no one complained about that either.
I got bored just watching you play in the livestream. The quality of Starfield has certainly adjusted my expectations for Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5.
yes i stopped being excited for those games because i know when they do finally come out, they wont be nearly half of what we are expecting. it's very sad.
One thing about this game is the NPCs dont shut up, they keep on talking forever with nothing of substance being said. Add to that the fact that bethesda treats its playerbase like literal children with its "family friendly" dialogue. I mean seriously, the big majority of bethesda fansbase are middle aged man
I'm old but that doesn't mean I want to listen to crude dialogue either. However, I don't mind am expanded lexicon being used given the age rating of the game; just make sure to use diversity in adjectives.
I already had that problem with Skyrim NPCs. At least Oblivion NPCs do the logical thing by giving greetings, instead of yapping their backstory when you're getting near them.
30 dollars is crazy. Shadow of The Erdtree was 40 dollars and was essentially a new game in terms of size and scope. Remnant 2, one of the best ARPGs last year was 40 bucks for the entire game!
@@Dutchy4564 Games urinalists would take issue with that comment and argue that not everything can be compared to BG3. (I personally have 723 hours in BG3)
You also gotta be fair that Elden Ring has a smart development process of repurposing old mechanics/textures/models to save on development time and cost. The same thing Luke here commented on for Bethesda reusing a vfx from Skyrim. If people are mad about reskins then I wouldn’t use elden ring, I love Elden Ring so this ain’t hate. I don’t care if they reuse enemies from previous games, they have such a huge roster of new enemies so just adding more is a bonus.
Having the ship technician say “it’s been a while since I’ve worked on a ship from the settled systems” and then seeing his entire stock black painted stroud ships from the settled systems has to be one of the biggest let downs. I literally stopped playing as soon as I saw that
They don't really spell it out in game but in order to access the Va'ruun ship parts, you have to highlight your entire ship, hi "J" for "color" (or whatever corresponding button on xbox) and then move all the sliders all the way to the left. This will instantly turn your existing ship into a Va'ruun vessel. The best part is it is totally free!
@@thegethconsensus393 yep, no custom va'ruun ship haps and parts. It's literally just normal stuff you'd find everywhere else. Your better off getting a ship parts mod
Bethesda quests are like stage plays, the script is already written, it tells you where to stand to trigger a scene and you move from scene to scene, you can add lib some lines (the in game dialogue “choices”), but the overall narrative doesn’t change.
hey! HEY NOW! they released a quest for $7 that had a sniper as a reward that was unusable for a month and a buggy/rover was released for free (cost in game currency though. idk why the Constellation doesn't have one....)
Cyberpunks only expansion Liberty City adds: -new dense playable area -skill tree and combat overhaul -new exciting story about president and being a spy -new cybernetics -new missions Starfield: Shattered Space: BUBBLES
Why you are comparing Turdfield with Goatpunk? Cyberpunk nailed it with Phantom Liberty. Starfield felt "too safe" for me, as if Bethesda wants Fortnite kids also to play their game.
@@trolloman388I don't think people will ever forget Cyberpunk's launch state, cause it's been immortalized and memed to hell on the internet. But is it such a sin to appreciate the game's current state now ?? Cause it's leagues better, and it's honestly GOTY material.
@@trolloman388 I agree. But the developers apologized and knew how bad their launch was. The CEO literally for on his knees for the shareholders because he knew their reputation was golden before the disaster.
To be fair, the main plot of the DLC feeling forced is pretty on point, because that's how it was for the main story too. "You touched a rock! Take my ship and my robot!" "Why?" "Because I said so! OK BYE!"
Truly one of the most ignorant and stupid design decisions I've seen in a AAA game. It would have been so easy to have the ship owner invite you onto the ship and then say "want a chance to fly it for a bit"? It shows a complete ignorance of why people enjoy playing RPG's and building the character and EARNING rewards. Going around and picking up cups and and loot off corpses cant compare to getting a free Space ship for touching a rock. It is a total face plant right out of the gate and it amazes me they still have not changed a single thing about that awful introduction.
I think he was dreaming of like...elite dangerous and or no man's sky, but then those games came out and yeah aha... That dream game has a shelf life I guess.
There was no dream. This game is so soulless, it's impossible this was anyone's "dream game". Him saying he was dreaming of this for 30 years was just marketing speak, to make people think this was gonna be their best game yet, but it's 100% their worst, no debating it. 4:06 This reminds me of Nuka World's DLC in Fallout 4. As much as I enjoyed playing that, I hated the fact that I had to be a Raider Boss and there was no other way around it (apart from wiping them out but then you get locked out of the entire DLC basically). Felt like my character went through the same arc as Jamie Lannister
Nuka World was so disappointing. I really wish that there were multiple options for dealing with the gangs. Imagine if we could have taken on the role of Mr House, by getting the robots from the battle zone area to serve us, and turned the Nuka World into the cola themed version of New Vegas! …oh well….
I think your system is not up to par. Loading screens take less than a second on Xbox series X. Barely notice them unless I load into the game from the main menu, about 15 seconds for that. All on default settings
@@dmart8451 As always, it is not about the duration of the loading screen but the numbers of loading screens constantly ruining the immersion. Stop blaming player's hardware for defending a bad design.
@dmart8451 my Xbox series x couldn't handle my load file once my save file got big around level 140. If I got in an area with too many fauna or npcs around me, the game would stutter and freeze. And about a third of the time that it auto saved, the game would freeze and I'd have to close it and load the previous save.
Literally every questline/ area in starfield is just some other scifi story DONE WORSE. It's unbelievable that a billion dollar company can't just hire a couple of writers to make the entire thing 100x better. Did Emil Pagliarulo earn his job for life by saving a bunch of files from a burning building or something? What the fuck
He is Todd's friend. He was a pupil of Ken Rolston (one of TES series fathers) if I recall correctly and everything Emil wrote for TES 4 was basically rearranged from sources of his teacher - Rolston. By the time of TES 5 Skyrim and Fallout 4 Bethesda has already had some good writers in their team, especially in one that created Far Harbor (ironically, but Will Shen , the head of Far Harbor dev team, ALSO left the studio with the LAST TES series father - Kurt Kuhlman). But somehow Emil is one of the most protected (by Todd) ignoramus in the history of Game Dev. Nevertheless there are more fundamental problems with Bethesda Game Studios than Emil...
@@SergenteHartman97 Not really, Will Shen said in interview or some other related content that there was no communication going on between the teams and said they half-assed the ending of the main story. I'm sure that has to do with not using game documents too. I also got from what he revealed that he was done with the nonsense at BGS and couldn't wait to laeve, though I could be reading into his reveal and implications from months back.
The starfield subreddit is in full copium mode rn, i called out bethesda for releasing 5 "new weapon" with literally 4 of them being reskin and some bethesda dweebs fanboy accused of not having played the DLC, you cant make this it up lmao

@@lethanosjames2976it’s like 6 weapons, and three are unique, the others aren’t. New area, new weapons and armor. Even if the new stuff didn’t break 3-5 in armor and weapons categories, still, 2 weapons per dlc when we got four is crazy. I think the dlc is fun, and the world is amazing and the story starts strong. But Emil, brother, that dude starts off great and gets overstimulated or something and falls off,
@JallyTee for a "new" game they sure did cannibalize features from literally every other Bethesda game I swear the only "new" thing about it was the ship stuff
*Spoilers* My biggest issue with Shattered Space isn’t the just the retextured guns and outfits even though that’s just lazy and the ‘expansion’ only took a few hours to finish it. My biggest issue is what Bethesda told us, we will be faced with CHOICES that determine the fate of House Varrun. We don’t determine anything because if we choose the bad ending we die and guess what… we have to reload to our latest save! So we can’t choose a bad ending or anything. We have to choose to stop House Varrun even if we would like another war. Well once that is done, they need a new speaker and laugh at us if we would like to be the speaker. And we can also determine if they will have a second serpents crusade, but guess what happens if we choose that option… nothing again. There’s no big choices or consequences at all. There is only one ending. And they let you make these ‘big decisions’ like who will rule over them and if they will go to war again, but those big decisions don’t impact anything at all.
I was going to download since I already pay for it like an idiot. Your comment convinced me that isn’t even worth the time for the download let alone actually play it. Man there goes another gaming company I guess I’m not surprised but man did I hope it would do something different at least.
@@polrish9570 They do offer you a choice, but it has to be *their* choice and nothing else is accepted. They'll even flag every single npc as essential to make sure that it's the only choice
And we have Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty for the same price that has 10 times more hand crafted content, an interesting story, compelling and deep characters, cool sidequests, new vehicles, new guns, new gameplay mechanics, new ending to the main game etc. And look at Starfield that looks like it just came straight from 2011.
PL is almost a game within another game for the Cyberpunk universe and expanded so much on it. Shartered Space is a 30 USD Creation Club mod that was hyped to hell and back
What in the hell happened to Bethesda? Did most of the talent leave? Was Skyrim and Fallout simply lightning in a bottle? The captivating writing, rewarding exploration, quirky NPCs, as well as the goofy or morbid quest designs we have grown to love from this company are completely GONE.
Skyrim was just step slightly higher up on a path going steadily downwards since morrowind. Compare how the guilds work in Skyrim to how they work in morrowind and you'll see the increased focus on action and far less attention to world building
They used to have soul back then with Daggerfall and Oblivion because they were so bad in many ways they were actually fun to play. That's not the case anymore though.
I was hoping Andreja would have more dialogue in this update because she's my favorite companion. I was hoping it would be something like Far Harbor with Nick Valentine. I haven't finished the dlc, but I've gotten pretty far in, and I have been really disappointed at the lack of extra lines besides a few here and there. I feel like coming back to your homeland where previously you never thought you could return would be a huge moment for most people, but apparently, Bethesda thought otherwise.
Well, it's made by the same folks who decided that finding your long lost son in Fallout 4 - the importance of which they wouldn't shut up about for the entirety of that game's storyline - doesn't even warrant ANY sort of reaction or comment from the vast majority of your companions, including the guy who helped you track your missing son down in the first place. Bethesda is very good at making these sorts of narrative decisions.
@@SpliffyHusk Multiple people have done a playthrough without the perk, still no dialogue. Let's not cope with bethesda's inability to develop characters.
I ran the dlc with her as my companion the whole time. This was before my character knew of her ties to va'ruun are revealed. Maybe it's different if you have advanced her story enough before the dlc but idk. It adds a few lines to her personal quest about it afterwards, which is a rare touch of consistency on bethesda's part. Doing the dlc explains why her handler is using zealots to do his dirty work too. However, I would personally say it does not hold that much weight with the outcomes already known for her quest which is a shame.
She's the only character in the game with significant depth and character growth, plus the voice actor's performance is outstanding. It's surprising that Bethesda didn't bother capitalising on one of the few things from the base game that they did exceptionally well.
I didn't expect this expansion to be on the level of Phantom Liberty, but good lord this just feels like BGS are just going through the motions with this game.

Bethesda is a glorified AA studio at this point. I’ve never seen such a successful studio become so susceptible to crippling stagnation. They have fallen so far behind that even Obsidian will soon surpass them.
Honestly the gameplay isn't bad and Bethesda itself had it's last release with 76. The problem with Bethesda is that they take so long for games and since Starfields story telling and worldbuilding isn't enough to entertain people until TES6
The whole game is so bland and this DLC is no exception. It's a sci fi universe whereby there's only humans (without any interesting mystery/politics), and Earth has been destroyed by human hubris. Makes me want to fall asleep man. I got baited and bought the deluxe version but even I just can't be bothered playing the DLC, nothing about it at all seems interesting. Looking at the player numbers i'm not alone, there was about a 5k player spike, compare that to Cyberpunk which had a 250k player spike after its DLC.
you nailed it with that 1 word BLAND. It's techically better than any TES/Fallout game. the towns are more detailed, it's more polished, it's graphically the best looking and at least for me the least buggy. But the world is of no interest , the quests are a checklist for XP to get a Skill that is of little point Loot you don't care about, encounters that are near identical Where the previous TES/Fallout games where like an interesting relationship, each meeting you looked forward, it's was fun, unpredictable, emotional starfield is like a 40 year marriage, where you have nothing to talk about, you can't stand the sight of each other and just waiting till it's all over
Right there with it on not playing the dlc. Starfield is unironically just fallout in space I’m not even joking the war they had made so your in a space age apocalypse society yet somehow they made it boring.
@@davidrenton “loot that you don’t care about” is so on the money. I love collecting unique outfits and weapons like the Daedric artifacts and that aspect is nonexistent in Starfield. @@kenpachiramasama1139 Unfortunately internally BGS refereed to this as Skyrim in space, but its missing elements of Skyrim that make it feel like a world like a language other than English they created an entire sub language for Dragonborn in Skyrim to really solidify that group as their own culture. 14:30 It seems like there's no background music playing? Many great games have long dialogue scenes but they're always paired with gripping background music that makes you want to pay attention to what the characters are talking about. It seems like Bethesda didn't utilize the power of background music in this dlc?
I think BGS have just lost the ability to 'worldbuild'. Sure, there's been more technical and core game mechanic improvements since Morrowind and Oblivion, but it seems like they're struggling to actually make the worlds actually compelling or worth exploring. Fallout 4 was pretty bland (apart from the Glowing Sea) but Starfield is just downright boring.
I can’t shake the horrible feeling that this was rushed out, they focused on one location, but they still just threw it together as fast as possible trying to get people back in. Also that is absolutely the “summon” effect from Skyrim.
The fact that they continue to reuse major assets from past games after all the memes about reusing the dragon animations in FO76 is beyond embarrassing. They should’ve just owned it and put Dagoth Ur in this DLC. At least it would’ve generated more interest 😂.
Event Horizon was one of the best cosmic horror films we ever got. Aside from some heavy censoring from the studio at the time to keep it R rated, it was fantastic, and I don't think 90s reviewers really understood how good it was. Watch it ffs!
I'm playing Fallout London as well as Starfield, Starfield fells like a slog, just completing that list of missions, that i care nothing about, the characters i've already forgotton, , for loot that's all the same. Where Fallout London is how these games should be, it's seriously one of the best Bethesda games there is, oh wait, it's not Bethesda , i think that explains why :)
I can tell that they tried to emulate Far Harbor from Fallout 4 in this DLC. But, well, whatever made Far Harbor interesting isn't present here. It really is just the classic "Oh please player, please save us from the calamity that unfolded recently and navigate milquetoast politics!" that you'd expect from Bethesda at this point. In Far Harbor, it was made interesting by you having the ability to shape the future of the island, and tying a few loose ends in the plot, like why the fuck Nick Valentine even is. There was also a clear "us vs them" aspect between the factions and it delved into more existential themes with the synths. But Shattered Space? None of that shit is present here. You're just paying for more of the same fucking game.
I can't believe there are no new outpost buildings and ship parts(which is arguably the best part of the game), two of the only things that I somewhat enjoyed in the game. It's like they don't know their own game

6:52 Oh, so it's the Mike Flanagan syndrome of "Anyways, I want to tell you a story about how my father inherited a sock factory . . ." type storytelling.
The number of times you said 'expansion' got me thinking about how phenomenal this game could have been if it were based on The Expanse. Bethesda wouldn't have to do any heavy lifting in terms of world building, there're different factions with distinct, well-defined characteristics, there are only a few key locations where plotlines/quests could be concentrated, and the 'one thousand planets' could be locked behind a mid-plot point so people don't get bored and overwhelmed right away. Hell, I think the whole 'cowboy Martian' thing was fully ripped from The Expanse, and the voice actor for Sam Coe even had a part in the show. Huge missed opportunity, if it was ever on the table. Hopefully someday someone will make an incredible space RPG based on The Expanse because it will kick ass.
At least Automatron has the entirely unique and completely new robot building system, which can be kinda fun. But does Shattered Space have any kind of new system like that, something entirely unique to the expansion? Doesn't really look like it. This is more like the Vault Workshop DLC; more stuff that could easily have just been in the base game and a lacklustre experience to justify it in-universe.
I bought a new gen system specifically to play starfield. I was so damn excited to play this game. I mean shit, its todds dream game that he was thinking about for the last 25 years. I put about 200 hrs into it, and i truly cant believe how far bethesda has fallen. This game is trash
Compared to Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk2077, which is a good example of a hand crafted, narrative driven XP, this is an absolutely overpriced rip off. Heck its even poor compared to Far Harbour.
Far harbour is easily one of my favourite expansions, I actually like it as much as phantom liberty. I haven't played starfield yet, I just got the game yesterday so I'm kinda curious to see although yeah it's clearly not gonna meet my expectations.
What happened to Bethesda? Like really. I don't get it. It's like they created a couple of masterpieces but by accident. They haven't figured out the recipe yet.
I think morrowind is Bethesda only true masterpiece. Oblivion had some really good guild quests, but a mediocre main quest and game Breaking level scaling. Skyrims Questlines mostly range from bland to awful, but the exploration has improved from oblivion. Both games also progressively removed or streamlined RPG mechanics. Starfield didn't come out nowhere, it's the result of a decades long decline
@@AbstractHexagon the rest of the industry not only caught up to them but surpassed them is what happened. Bethesda meanwhile is still in 2011 when it's 2024. I guarantee if you asked Bethesda how BG3 was made they'd not have a clue. "Wizards" or something probably 😂
It's Bethesda what else did people expect? To this day SKYRIM of all things is still not 100% finishable or even close to a bug-free experience without community patches and that after what? 14 years and 3 or 4 re-releases! Starfield is and never will be a good/compentent game and now comes the shocker, TES6 and FO5 will also be trash because it's still the same incompetent development team and still the same sh**ty old, broken to the core engine that limits what can be done gameplay- and graphics-wise.
If Skyrims only problem was bugs that would be a huge step up from the real deal. One of the main activieties of the game is combat and these Devs with incredible amounts of money and crazy manpower created one of the most boring combat systems ever with the most basic enemy AI every. And don't let me start talking about this abomination of a skill tree. To compensate for that did we get high quality writting? Who played a real crpg in his/her life knows the anwer is no. The Problem of Bethesda started with skyrim because as much as I understand that people love that game for it's world and atmosphere it never was the masterpiece that everyone praised it for. Just think for second would you rather spend a large amount of money on making a expansion and take the risk of not making a profit or allow modders to make paid expansions/dlc where you invest nothing but still get paid for it.
I support modders getting paid for there mods but don't like the fact that Bethesda gets a cut of the sale of these mods since I believe it in enforces laziness.

Starfield would have been a better game if all the main cities were built like this DLC, rather than being basically placed in the middle of proc-gen'd nonsense and constantly directing you to leave the city to jump through five loading screens just to explore more nonsense.

*Spoilers*
My biggest issue with Shattered Space isn’t the just the retextured guns and outfits even though that’s just lazy and the ‘expansion’ only took a few hours to finish it.

Maybe it's different if you have advanced her story enough before the dlc but idk. However, I would personally say it does not hold that much weight with the outcomes already known for her quest which is a shame.

Mountbatten Approves
I cant believe I waited so long for TES 6 and its probably gonna suck..
And there were people who believed that this DLC could fix this game.
I can't believe there are no new outpost buildings and ship parts(which is arguably the best part of the game), two of the only things that I somewhat enjoyed in the game. It's like they don't know their own game
Event horizon is one of my favourite movies 😊 This game however is not
agreed EH is a classic
The author of that movie said that he was inspired by Warhammer40k Warp concept in creating that movie, so yes instant like.
Agreed, starfield is in fact not a movie
The gall to say that Event Horizon flopped!
@@darrencos sadly it did making 26 million on a 60 million budget, likewise another underrated cult classic from that time, Dark City , which slighty beat the Matrix to the screens
We wanted Far Harbor but they gave us Automatron. Couldn’t even give us a Nuka World…
At least Automatron has the entirely unique and completely new robot building system, which can be kinda fun. But does Shattered Space have any kind of new system like that, something entirely unique to the expansion? Doesn't really look like it.
This is more like the Vault Workshop DLC; more stuff that could easily have just been in the base game and a lacklustre experience to justify it in-universe.
3:40 So it’s basically just the Companions questline from Skyrim again.
imagine paying 30 dollars to add the companions questline to skyrim IMAGINE IT (and you don't even get werewolves)
@katsu1715 the copy and pasting without the werewolf part is the biggest bummer
BABE get in here Luke just dropped another starfield video
The fps character does not have a shadow. A video game problem that was rectified decades ago. Nitpicking, but it's there
I foolishly paid extra to play this game early when it was released so i have shattered space paid for. I still have no desire to play it.
I bought a new gen system specifically to play starfield. I was so damn excited to play this game. I mean shit, its todds dream game that he was thinking about for the last 25 years.
I put about 200 hrs into it, and i truly cant believe how far bethesda has fallen. This game is trash
I dont think theres a single thing that could bring me back to this game
Skyrim was a standard of sorts in ARPGs for what it did at the time, and other game devs did what game devs should do. They tried to make something better. And they did for the past 13 years. Bethesda meanwhile is still in 2011 when it's 2024.
I guarantee if you asked Bethesda how BG3 was made they'd not have a clue. "Wizards" or something probably 😂
Fallout was mostly acquired, TES is their area of expertise. They’ve failed to grow beyond this nor admit publicly that they cannot.
Honey come quick, Luke made another video about Starfield.
(We loved it)
The honesty is why I watch your videos
Aaaand….it’s even more shattered!
I wonder how long Luke Stephens is going to find a way to bring "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" into every single video he makes...
who even thought that it would be a good game
It's Bethesda what else did people expect? To this day SKYRIM of all things is still not 100% finishable or even close to a bug-free experience without community patches and that after what? 14 years and 3 or 4 re-releases! Starfield is and never will be a good/compentent game and now comes the shocker, TES6 and FO5 will also be trash because it's still the same incompetent development team and still the same sh**ty old, broken to the core engine that limits what can be done gameplay- and graphics-wise.
Skyrim isn't the best example as many mods specifically say to disable the creation club (Skyrim mp)
It had far too many flaws. Now Bethesda still thinks that consumers are stupid and that they can shovel mediocrity down our throats
u can easily finish skyrim lmao
@@moralitykiller11How did it not start with oblivion?
@@michaelh878 Good point. It had nearly all of the same flaws. Just some stories we're better written. But yeah I can't argue against that
Event horizon is a great movie lol
Yes. Thanks Luke. Thanks for saying out loud, what has to be sad.
2 big Bethesda games in a row passed now. Guess I’ll just forget about elder scrolls 6.
You walking around, it looks like the just recreated Big MT in Starfield 😂
if only the quality was that level
Big MT (Old World Blues) is one of my favorite DLC's ever

Can't say I'm surprised. I mean, it's Bethesda. You need to set the expectations low.
@@Thordrel I did!, but Todd ‘the limbo king’ Howard still managed to glide under that low bar. 😂
No new full companions (like the Constellation ones); no Varuun ship parts; and no new gameplay mechanics or QoL features added to the game at launch! 😅 We waited a year for this expansion.
Bro, Bethesda made Skyrim, fallouts, doom, what company is better then Bethesda when it comes to RPGs.
@@Flyeaglesfly215Larian? Obsidian? CDPR? Is this a real question? There are A LOT

@@Flyeaglesfly215 the only game that has any kind of future from Bethesda is Doom, everything else... Well... Good luck 🤞
In Australian currency this expansion costs 60 dollars, I can buy a weeks worth of groceries for that instead.
I would honestly rather buy 60 dollars worth of horse poo than shat space lmfao
At least the poo can fertilise the garden
Event horizon is an underrated gem
Definitely NOT a Carbon copy of Event Horizon btw, a movie i know very well. The only thing that's similar is an abandoned space vessel with "something" strange going on inside, and thats only the first 45 mins of the dlc. Literally everything else is nothing like Event Horizon. Very false representation.
He said the first mission, he even repeated it
1:30 I've been playing through and I can say there is one new companion so far and he is on a main mission though I guess depending on how you end it he may not be a companion
There are at least 2x
The scientist girl you rescued from the zealots. She said go find her in town
I was under the impression this was a free update and was still never going to try it. The fact that they haven't even polished their mediocre product and now want $30 (?!) for more buggy mediocre slop is embarrassing. I have very little hope for Elder Scrolls VI
I think es6 will be fine I'm personally more worried about fallout 5 because if es6 does well Beth won't be putting any effort into fallout
thank you for saving a lot of gamers times
Man, Event Horizon was amazing. It definitely flopped in theaters, but now it's a cult movie. I mean, it's one of the major inspirations for the original dead space
I loved the base game. Over 1,000 hours on both PC and Xbox. I jumped into the expansion, loved the opening mission and everything after the ship was just... mid.
Agreed. I was underwhelmed by Vulcan.
I liked the base game, but looking at everything, both reviews and gameplay footage, I'm honestly not feeling it. I don't think I'm going to get this DLC. Definitely not for 30 EUR. It looks like it should be 20 EUR max, maybe even lower.
For the record. EVENT HORIZON WAS A DOPE ASS MOVIE LOL.
"Starfield is supposed to be an RPG"
Someone forgot to tell Bethesda.
Bethesda: Creatively bankrupt since 2013.
BGS is obviously a shell of what it used to be. It seems all the beloved studios we love in name have completely changed with new staff.
Dude Event Horizon is a masterpiece
Was anyone else even aware that there was a dlc?
I’m glad I didn’t spend $30 on this last night because I was high. I can’t wait to play BG3 with mods Xbox. We’ll see bout dragon age.
The small snippets of Veilguard gameplay we have been shown look far more interesting than the entirety of starfield, so there is that.
@@carpenoctem That's pretty damning, considering how uninteresting the game play for DA:V looks. It's a bloody mobile game.
@@Axterix13Honestly I feel like the mobile game comparison feels overused but in this case I can't begin to describe how perfectly it describes the game.
You already lost by paying Bethesda for the base game.
@@hanley6478 game pass
It's possible that Elder Scrolls Six won't have any expansions/dlc.Why you might ask? Simple answer paid mods are zero risk. If you don't buy the paid mods it doesn't hurt their wallet but if you do buy the mods they make money from it. Why would they spent money to fix there games when they can have someone else do it for free and make money from it.
Ps. I understand these modders get a large cut.
14:41 Same thing happened to me lmao 😂
I didn’t even know there was an expansion lol
I had this DLC from the original purchase. Honestly, logged in and engaged the quest, spent about 15 minutes seeing it was all just "more of the same" and then exited. Yep, that's about enough Shattered space for me.
It blows me away how disappointing this game has been
Starfield doesn’t make rpgs anymore don’t ya know? Just sandbox games like Minecraft
