I think it is impressive, that Dr. Dre tempo and his rapping were different, but he manage to rap and play the guitar at the same time.
I Cannot get over how he can pick/play a different melody (Dr Dre bit!) over another melody (his song!), while Rapping so Fast too!!!

It's actually BARRINGTON LEVY who's the og writer of the reggae track "Murderer" which is sampled by/inspirational to so many artists.
Tidbits from barrington levy's "murderer", damian marleys "welcome to jamrock" and dr.dre's "the next episode" and ini kamozes "world a music (out in the streets they call it merther)" that is a sample on welcome to jamrock in there. Filmed in Los Angeles on the 8th of August.
Fun fact: "Merther" is basically the term for listening to reggae while smoking weed. The "merging" of it.
Just loved it very much. Oh and also: There is a version of "murderer" from barrington levy featuring none other than rakim himself.
Very dope track imo.
You should keep on adding this to the reaction channels so that people can show their love to Barrington, Damien et al. It gives you a good insight to the many influences that Ren has, ... and all of them are class!

Ren is evidence that you don't need special marketing, simple old school word of mouth has got him to where he is now. Sheer talent and skill is all that did it. The fact that he didn't take down reactors videos because they used his music is the main reason he is where he is today. He didn't let greed poison his soul and now he may reap what he has sown.

People can say what they want, Ren brings a vibe to everything he touches. I have been enjoying his straight hip hop tracks but I can’t wait for his new album that will balance singing with the rapping more. His singing voice is so soulful.

@@kingofshit303 I think you might have missed the end of the KD/ren “beef”. Dotta are ren are cool, and Dotta has posted about ren, supporting him, many times since that all went down. Ren shared KDs gofundme to his instagram. Even Michelle show posted on IG stories with respect when ren got his #1 album. (Ren shared to his story). Even people that have said they don’t like his music seem to like him lol

“Welcome to Jamrock” by Damien Marley is where the “out in the streets they call it murder” line comes from. “Here Comes the Hotstepper” is the song Ren references in the first verse, and it is sung by Ini Kamoze. And the guitar melody y’all were trying to pick up is “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre
Ren has talent and musicality from head to toe and all the way out to the tips of his fingers. I think I love this version even more with all the little scatting bits and the added/changed melodies. Just brilliant. The GOAT in the rabbit hole kills it again.

I’ve been trying to figure out why I gravitate towards reaction videos these days, even though on paper I feel like there are a lot of channels just trying to capitalize off someone else’s art. I do, however, think there’s something special about seeing someone else react to something that had an impact on me in a big way.
